If you're going to watch another one, I would recommend watching Subterranean Stars. It might cover t h e f o r b i d d e n g a m e, but the animation and work put into that one is fantastic. Besides, you've seen the game so you'll recognize more of the patterns
All the MinusT video's are really cool, they represent the entire battle (spells and nonspells) as they would happen inside the game, but then in 3D and with a lot of epicness. I really recommend watching more of them (if you don't want to do more reaction vids just watch them yourself, its worth watching them).
@Michael Randall Never has been stated in cannon that it's not lethal. It's there to give advantage to weaker opponents and USUALLY, let me repeat myself again, USUALLY does not escalate to a fight of death.
@Michael Randall I guess there's nothing wrong in what you said, but there's still the chance of death, that's what I want to say, those bullets probably still hurt and shock is a factor that could lead to death.
@@taodivinity1556 Straight up from perfect memento: 命名決闘で敗れた場合は、余力があっても負けを認める。 勝っても人間を殺さない。 It's further elaborated on in Silent Sinner where its stated the spell card rules prevent bloodshed. Spellcard battles are non-lethal and the only times this hasn't outright been the case is in PC98 because ZUN has repeatedly said he wont comment on that era and in the case of Mokou who technically commits suicide but is considered fair play since she is immortal.
I like how at 2:48 Flan just becomes bats and avoids the beam, since she is immune to bombs and does that in game. Also you already played most of SA so you can probably watch the video and get most of the references
real nice reaction. personally I'd like if you continued reacting. though I suggest you watch the Yuyuko one since you'll likely recognize the spell cards used in the video. maybe play a bit of PCB stage 6 before watching to refresh your memory.
Nice! MinusT is a great artist and animator. I suggest reacting to his other animations, especially the newest one (Subterranean Stars), MinusT's definitely improved over the years! On a side note, as others have probably already said, Danmaku battles are not lethal. They are more like a friendly competition. Also, the newest animation is almost finished! According to a recent patreon post, it'll be released in 1~2 months. Yeah, even though it's almost finished. These animations are definitely extremely time consuming. (According to the upload rate, they seem to take about a year or more each I think.)
I think the conversation that Minus-T put at the end is supposed to be the actual dialog that Flandre and Marisa have when you beat the level, also, the coin in the start is another reference to their dialog. Opa you should definitly react to the other content from Minus-T, you'll be amazed!
Wow, what are you reacting to! It's nice, MinusT's animations are really a masterpiece of Touhou-related vids.I highly suggest you watch (and optionally react to) other two: Humans vs. Yukari (note how precise and professonally each of original Yukari's spell cards and nonspells depicted), and Subterranean Stars (yes, it is about _THIS_ game, but still very intense and expressive...and yes, Okuu is there!). And about this one, you have noted this touching moment when Marisa figures out that things started to go out of control and Flandre may be hurt, and so she holds the battle and gets down there to save Flandre; and once danger is passed, at 7:07 they decide to continue battle. That would lead to answer for a question at 7:47: *they never wanted to hurt each other, they are just arguing with these shiny phantasmagorical danmaku language.* No murder, no death, no killing each other; just setting who's right and who's wrong. At least, it's the essence of Spell Card Rules. So, after the battle is over, they talk to each other again, as if they were close friends, without any grudge or whatever else.
Brambly Boundaries came out recently. reccomend watching the extra stage for subterranean animism to see the original first and connect dots. One last thing to note a bout touhou: a friendly fighting session is a good way to pass time
I saw what you originally said about my sarcasm 😡😡 lmao jk I'm not offended. Idk why, I dont remember being sarcastic in that video. I think I have a natural unintentional sass to me. Also cool to know it's an actual ability :o
@@Oparer To be fair I'm pretty sure you didn't mean to sound like that. I mean a lot of people have a kind of slir to their voice and I think when you talk it somerimes sounds sarcastic. Anyway You're the only youtuber I know who reacts to these kind of things so thanks for the content anyway man.
On accounf of the fact that Touhou takes place in a sort-of nature reserve for monsters who would go extinct due to lack of belief in them, fighting in Touhou is done in order to fill an antagonism quota rather than to kill: Monsters are supposed to attack humans, and humans are supposed to fear and defeat monsters. So killing is never necessary in Touhou while fighting always is. Also, if you're gonna watch another 3d Touhou battle, you should watch the original boss fight from the original game first, just so you can catch the references and homages to their Spell Card bullet patterns and stuff.
MinusT makes some incredible stuff. Definitely react to the rest of them. Subterranean Stars is easily the best one, followed closely by Humans vs Yukari. But I've got a hunch that Brambly Boundaries will overtake both of them by far when it comes out.
I would add also the ones knows as "White Flower of Summer" and "Diamond in the Rough". These series are different from each other, but each of it is really worth watching.

One of the best parts of the video is watching opa try to say hakkero

actually in touhou fights aren't lethal
they are like a sport or something XD
Yeah. But in flandre's case, she has nothing to do with the incident so she wanna have fun.

@@JuicedLeaf Yeah, not like they can simply break the spellcard rules or anything like that...
Danmaku is the most beautiful pointless game. Few seek to kill, and fight because it is fun.
I would like to try it out too
out of all the touhou 3d videos out there you just had to watch the one you havent cleared yet lol

In the credit scene, judging from their body language, they were most likely talking about Flandres imprisonment and loneliness.
you should watch subterranean star and humans vs yukari

all that work on the animation took about 1 or 2 years too make
Marisa's grand attack is called "Magicannon: Final Spark"
Also Danmaku is non-lethal.
ohhhh interesting!

8:15 No fucking way Mima is dead, not like she's a vengeful spirit or something...
Well, what they were talking about at the end is a minor spoiler for the extra stage but...
Marisa's trying to hook up Flan and Reimu. :D
Nice! I enjoyed MinusT's Touhou 3D animations! Which do you plan next if you're gonna continue it?
Yay! Oppie in circle is back! ^-^
Here's a recommendation. If you're a total touhou fan, watch this series. Wiccan and Swordsgirl.
I would add also the ones knows as "White Flower of Summer" and "Diamond in the Rough". These series are different from each other, but each of it is really worth watching.
PLEASE Subterranean Star and Blambly Boundaries?!
Just released bramble boundaries today
"Sparring"
