    Next time try to make a dip with 50pct. mustard, 20pct.dild, 20pct.brown sugar, pinch of salt and 10pct.oliveoil put it on top of your fish. I use it mostly on gravad salmon but Is allso pretty good with the pollack and cod version. 👌🐟 its allso greate as a marinade for fish on barbecue! 😅

    .You should take care of Anisakis worm... This fish is a predator like a cod, I think it is better to freeze the fish during few days before eating it raw, even if the flesh was salted😉

  • @stanbarwik1711
    @stanbarwik1711 ปีที่แล้ว

    Now just need to get some fish, I really like the idea of adding shot of vodka to it, this should improve marinating process. When you freeze fish for just 2-3 days, do you wrap it in paper towels? myself I try to avoid using plastic bags on any raw fish. Must start doing that with pollock, since I refuse to buy any farmed salmon but would love something similar with sliced tomato and white mozzarella on bread.

    I’ve seen other videos using a similar weight method, however, I cure my game meat quite often, and I don’t believe putting weight on top of the curing meat/fish is necessary. If you’re crunched for fridge space, put the meat in a ziplock bag, and flip it every 12 hours or so for a few days. It’ll cure just fine and you’ll get the same result.

    Hi Daniel, love the videos
    do you have a technique for finding good spearing spots?
    Cheers

    • @DanielMann
      @DanielMann  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Combination of many things. Looking at google maps, nautical charts, navionics, local knowledge and then of course after that it’s finding out what makes a spot work. Some places are dead on one tide and alive a few hours later on the other. Take a lot of time in the water.

  • @granterisir8808
    @granterisir8808 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great video as always! Just wondering, when you dive the channel coast, what tides do you find the best vis and/or most fish numbers?

    • @DanielMann
      @DanielMann  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is such a vast coastline I can’t really answer that. Vis is generally better on a high tide if you’re near a river but so many other factors go in to it. More importantly, when the slack water is.
