This is a very important movie. I recommend everyone see it, particularly those with children. The danger is not exclusive to young girls. At the age of 11, I was taken into the Adirondack Mountains and molested by a man who called himself a 'family friend.' He was a Boy Scout Leader which gave him unlimited access to young boys. As I approach my 80th birthday I would tell you this: Trust but verify when to comes to your children. The scars it will leave them will last a lifetime.

I agree unless you got an ignorant parent that refused to see with clear eyes instead of "rose glasses" which is what my mother did by bringing in males who she had an interest to be a stepfather, which #4 was the worse but a pedophile which I had to step up at age 14 to recognize he was a not a good man but a pervert - which my girlfriend let me know he exposed himself to them. It was bad enough at home but now he was boundless to feel he can do anything. He was lucky those girls told me which I told them I will handle it. Not walked into my mother's room where they both were but told them "this type of behavior got to stop or I will not hesitate to call the police!" I meant every word. Worse, is my mother was not mentally fit, "told me we "we will leave her, and she'll have no one." I could
believe this was always about our narcissist mother wanting her way each time good or bad. Be ever careful of what parents you may have to deal with and trust "no one until they prove who they are."

I helped the police do this a few years ago using my daughters online profile. We caught 5 grown men in just a few hours time. They were evil. Two came w weapons, one was 6'3 250 lbs and brought his brother, equally large. These men knew EXACTLY what they were doing.

There are a couple of documentaries about NGOs which do this. The staff are all volunteers. They set up a profile for a journalist on a forum (13 year old), she received her first 'dick pic' 40 minutes later. About a dozen men contacted her, asking very inappropriate questions ('Do you have a boyfriend?', 'Are you a virgin?', 'Do you mastrubate? etc.). The most frightening one was a message from a guy who was saying 'Hey, I see from your profile that you live in town A. I live in town B nearby and I'm often in town A for work. Do you attend school X or school Y? I would really like to meet you in real life, maybe I could wait for you one afternoon?'
This movie should be shown to children in elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools to make them more aware about the dangers of sex offenders.
My daughter was kidnapped when she was 10 years old, she is 40 years old now.I feel she is still affected by it..please protect your children

There should be more women like Julie Posey; a mother who cares about children and don't want another child to get hurt. This is a parent who cares and we need more people like this. So many parents are ashamed when their kid is a victim of someone like this, and won't tell anyone... which means the paedo can go after other kids. My father was molested by a priest when he was 8-9 (he was an altar boy). He told hiss father, they just went to a different church... where his little brother fell prey to another paedo priest half a dozen years later. That was in the 1920s and the 1930s. Then my cousin was raped by a paedo priest at a boarding school run by the Jesuits, in the 1950s... I have also had an Irish housemate who was briefly molested by a priest at boarding school in Ireland when he was 6, in the 1980s. His father worked it out, went to see the Father Superior and made a scene... but the priest stayed on, he just stopped doing it with my housemate. He carried on doing it with other boys though. Finallly I met Father Francois Lefort des Ylouzes several times when I was a child, he was fund raising for his orphanage (child brothel) in Senegal. There is no way the adults did not know he was a paedo, I had made him when I was 12 and I even knew what type of little boy he liked.

My sisters and I were almost kidnapped at a Kmart when we were little. We were looking at toys while my parents shopped for household items in a different aisle. A man dressed as a security guard approached us and told us to come with him. He told us we were in trouble but we didn’t do anything wrong. We followed him to the back of the store, he was going to take us into the warehouse. Thankfully, we all decided to run and hide in a clothing rack. We stayed hidden until our parents started calling our names. We told them what happened and they told the manager. The manager told us there was no security guard on duty that night and that no employee matched the description of the man we saw. Super scary!

Be careful with the intent of the Freedom movie.. they refused to interview actual victims of trafficking. They never mention Georgia Sen Schaeffer who was assasinated for researching CPS and trafficking foster children. No mention of Laura Silsby case either...see Amandha Vollmer breakdown of the movie.

I’m really glad to have stumbled upon this film/story. This was all before apps; predators have always been having a field day. I teach 6th grade and many of my students have unlimited access to the Internet and very little supervision; it’s terrifying to think about how vulnerable some of them are; some wouldn’t meet up with a stranger but others are so desperate or naive that they would.
The opposing lawyer is awful for bringing up a past trauma on purpose in that manner.

You should teach a lesson on Internet safety
@mlmj1994 Someone commented that you should teach a class on it. I know there's a show where the parents agree to allow their kids, usually daughters, to be tested to see if they are willing to go with the person they met online. I didn't know the name of it but if you're able to find out, show a few episodes and have discussions with the class. Try to see Sound of Freedom. Maybe it can also help you in speaking with your class.
I have to be on the side of the mother in this film. If I thought my daughter was being approached by a paedophile I would be extremely upset and want the perpetrator brought to justice

I would know exactly what my kid was looking at and who they were talking to I don't care if they hate me. For their own safety the computer would be supervised period.

No hate (or resentment) of any kind even involved because the level of trust and open communication has been well developed over the years. Plus, he is waaaay toooo sensible and emotionally balanced to feel the need to be sneaking out to meet some random stranger from the internet in such a manner...and if he did decide at some point that he wanted to go on a dating site, he would tell me that he is. It is about as good as it gets. Take care.

I hate to say this is true and wished to God those that never wanted to be parents would get themselves fix but there are those that see the money sign where one can indoctrinate kids to believe, we as children should help and God knows I believe it until I realized it was not going to be temporary meaning we were stuck supporting deadbeat parents that refused to get decent jobs or sit on their butts not help out but expect us for the rest of our lives to be slaves to this family. DON'T ALLOW IT! At least remember in the USA you're 18 in most states or check the internet for your state so you can get a job at 16 at McDonalds or anywhere else so you can save money and move the hell out to have a life. Otherwise, you will be harassed and worse become a victim of a stepfather trying to put the sexual moves on me even with a parent that gives the okay. I did work at 16 but I had to help with the little money I made to help my mother. That's why I didn't move out till I got older but have the money saved and NOT discuss with friends and/or parents or your money will be gone. Be WISER than you can be!

Excellent movie that all parents need to watch with their daughters and sons. Not only do we have online sexual predators in this country and all over the world, but we have more sex trafficing than ever before. The world is a very dangerous place for naive, young people. I pray that parents closely monitor what their children are doing online, know where they are at all times (even if that means tracking their cell phones), and know their friends. In this day and age, you can never be too safe.

I've alway felt something happed to my son as a child. In his 30s he tell me "it was his friend's sister that touch me". He still will not tell me friend name because he knows i would still do something about situation. He has move on and has a family of his own and his dream job.

We need more parents who aren’t indoctrinating their own children and pushing them to be trans and all the other garbage out there! Children do not understand sexuality until it is forced upon them by their parents, teachers and social media! What is wrong with these people?!!!

Fortunately they reach this housewife and cyber crime fighter. Kudos. Grateful for God's servants, intervening the evil one by one. Only one moon can outshine billions of stars. Let's be moons for the Lord, and protect the defenseless children who are vulnerable and precious. 📿
Satan wants to kill and destroy our children! I posed as a stripper at eleven online. I don't understand why my parents didn't supervise me better. Thank God no one ever contacted me. Found out where I lived. The messed up thing is, I told my mom and she thought it was funny. Not because she would ever think trafficking or child adult sex is in anyway ok but obviously not fully aware of the dangers there are.

This remarking true story of a caring mother who goes online with the help of police to expose predator's and get them lock up in prison for a long time. It good she found out her teenage daughter was chatting with predator online and her daughter went to meet him . The mother saved her daughter from getting rape. You need to teach your teenage daughters not to trust anyone they chatting with online they could be predators.😢🎥 .
This world is no longer safe for our children protect. Yours every way possible please 😢😢

I believe from her flashbacks she was molested as a child and does this so it won't happen to someone else's child. It wasn't that her child told her, it was that she stumbled over it, while her daughters friend went online

I grew up in a time when things were just a little safer. The internet didn't exist back in 1982. No chat rooms and online dating....I can't believe I took all that for granted! I wouldn't trust online chat rooms although I want to learn more about it. How to even use it.
I don't think it was necessarily safer. More friends of mine who grew up in the 80's (mostly male) are telling me of their experiences of molestation.
This stuff will never stop. Parents don't pay attention to their teens lives. Then there's low self-esteem teens that think they need a boyfriend. Online crap has gotten worse with soooooooo many other horrible things. Be in your teens lives.

What’s worse to think about is she was in the early stages of technology and the internet. Just imagine how bad it is now with almost every young teen with a smartphone in their hands at all hours of the day.
Over 400,000 registered sex offenders and 75% of them are online? Registered sex offenders should not be allowed on the internet or social media.

Thankfully since this story and this movie, there have been parents who have become strong and diligent activists too! They have gotten a lot done but there will always be this evil to deal with so MANY more vigilant Americans needed!!!
