- Using Repeater Book Search from the RT Systems programmers is easy to do to get repeaters for your location. Then sort by city saved in the Comment field to get an order to the channels that might be more useable. Save the file.... send to the radio and you're ready to go.
Thank you Karen for your assistance today with my QRZ-1 setting up my repeater list. You are the best tech support representative that I have experienced in many years!!!
Please consider allowing concatenation of the City + Call sign into the name field when building the radio file. That way the name of the channel that displays can be something like “Washington W3XYZ”. Thanks
That would be great if the radio allowed that many characters in that field to make the combination of that information understandable on the display. What good does this do if the radio displays 6 characters?

Hi, the new Yaesu radios display 16 characters on the name. So my names are typically the city and call sign (up to 16 chars). See the RTSystems FTM-300 programmer for an example.
How i set mine up - totally works for me. great at a glance 73
Would be great but most radios do not have that ability for the number of characters on the display.
I have an AnyTone D578UVIII Plus, is there a way to display both name and frequency on the screen?
Hey Karen- I am using the IC-705 Programmer (Mac) to input repeaters into memory and it's crashing my IC-705 when I try to go into DR mode. When I push the DR button, the entire radio just freezes up. I need to disconnect and reconnect power to fix it. Upon switching to the CS-705 Icom programming software to input repeaters into memory, I no longer have this issue. I would much rather use the IC-705 Programmer since its user interface is so much better AND it runs on a Mac but I obviously need my radio to work properly in DR. Any ideas on how to fix this? I'm hoping it's user error on my side. :)
Update: I reluctantly used the cs-705 software to update my radio’s memory channels (after a factory reset) and the DR mode is now working fine. I hope RT Systems can isolate this issue and fix it since that software is so much better and runs on a Mac.
Contact tech support at 404-806-9561 after 10:00 AM EST. We will need the file that you last sent to the radio. email that to techsupport@rtsystemsinc.com
Dip me in tabasco and put me on a taco... never realized this capability existed. It was my biggest complaint when comparing RT to CHIRP.
