Sounds like an exciting TBR! I love Neverwhere, especially on audio. Gaiman's narration is just... chef's kiss! Also very happy to see Voice of War on here, that is suuuuch a great trilogy! Hope these all live up to your expectations 🤩
Thanks Esmay! Yes, I'm planning to do Neverwhere on audio. I loved his narration of Norse Mythology. He's just like a favorite person reading you a story :)
I’m so excited that you’re excited about these books Brian! I’m especially excited for you to read Neverwhere. It’s one of my favorite Gaiman books. I’m really excited for season 2 of Sandman as well.
Yes! I also want to read Mike Shackle's books I'm aiming to start in Jan out the gate in 2024. and of course continue the Suneater series! I'm starting my GGK journey with John and Ben in Feb. -Cheers Brian!
Very exciting stuff coming up! We Are The Dead is highly anticipated for me in 2024 as well and I should be getting to Lions of Al-Rassan soon. Pillars of the Earth is a fantastic book! 🤘🏽
Very exciting, Brian! I’ll be sharing my reading plans for 2024 soon, and we have some overlap. Among other things, I’m looking forward to Sun Eater, especially as I enjoy the books that stick with me long after I’ve read them. All the best!
Excellent! Hopefully we will overlap some of them around the same time! Thank you for always supporting my videos. It's really not taken for granted and it is very appreciated.
My 2024 TBR includes finishing the Series: Age of Madness, Suneater, The Bound & the Broken and the Five Warrior Angels . I would like to start, Empire of the Wolf & The Baroque Cycle. My stand alones: Judas Blossom, Mort & Blackwing. Daughter’s War will be released in June and that is my most anticipated read!
that's a killer lineup! I loved First Law universe so much... same with The Bound & The Broken, and for sure Five Warrior Angels. BLD is the most underrated author in show business IMO. Same for me on Empire of the Wolf at some point!
I’ll be reading Urth in a couple months, myself. If you liked Wolfe for the dreamy quality, you should definitely check out Little, Big by John Crowley and A Stranger in Olondria by Sofia Samatar :)
If you like some thriller fiction in your life (we have very similar tastes in everything I have seen so far and especially thinking Cradle is overrated), Pretty Girls is a nice quick read, but I thought a great mystery/detective story. It's quite dark at times, but I would add it to your reading list when you want a stand alone that isn't fantasy. New to the channel, but have watched about 6 straight videos lol. Algorithm must be promoting you so get ready!
Just discovered your channel! Great video! I will be reading Urth of the new sun as well this next year, and I have several other Wolfe books on my list. When are you shooting to read it? Subscribed!
Hi Nick! Welcome to the BellTube Community!! Thank you so much for the kind compliment. I'm thinking Urth of the New Sun sometime in Feb or March. It could push into April though. I'm two books into the Sun Eater series and I don't think I'd be able to read Sun Eater and Wolfe back-to-back, but we will see! Glad to have you here!
I've read Neverwhere and it was good. Not the best book, I liked American Gods more, but the world-building it's very interesting. Gave it a 4/5 overall. Can't wait to see what you think, hope that you enjoy it!
pillars and whatever the second book was called werent my favorite of his... although yes they were good. however I really enjoyed some other ken follet books. he wrote a great series about ww1 and ww2. fall of giants/winter of the world..and the third book...and then if my memory serve me I also read a captivating book about banks. anyways. non of that sounds captivating. but they were.
That's all good to know! Yeah, the premise of his books, at least so far, seem like.. really? a book about that? But they all come so highly recommended I have to try some! Thank you for the other ones to take a look at!
Always happy to see more folks reading Sun Eater and Last War. Enjoy!
Thanks! You're batting ridiculous with Sun Eater, Red Rising, First Law, Warlord Chronicles, Lonesome Dove, Dune. et al, for me. Hall of Fame numbers.
Wow what an honor for Sledge to appear among such a legendary crew! He raises his hammer in salute. SKOL!
Skol!
We have alot in common coming up. Pillars, Sledge and others. Can't wait to talk about all we get up to on booktube in '24!
excellent!! great minds brother!

You must!!!! Tell a friend!
I’ve read 1, 7, and 10. 10 was my favorite book last year, and 1 is phenomenal of course. Happy reading!
I'm so glad to hear that!! Very good to know going into 2024!
Mike also talked me into picking up Pillars of the Earth! Looking forward to reading that in January!
Cool! I won’t be able to hit it quite that soon but for sure in 2024!!

I’m guessing Feb for more on We Are The Dead… my Jan plan is set and it’s, well… interesting… doing a video on it next week 😂

I’m really glad you liked Pillars as well. Gives me even more confidence in it! Cool on those other two as well!!
“Orc-based adventure” is an outstanding phrase, from now on I’m only critiquing work on whether it is or is not orc-based, thank you.
YES!

Hell yeah!! John A. Douglas congrats man
super excited to check it out!
Awesome! I'm really looking forward to hearing your thoughts on The Lions of Al Rassan. It might be my favourite book of all time.
Awesome - that makes it even sound better to me!
Reading Pillars of the Earth now. I'm about 30% of the way through it so far and it keeps getting better. Loving it!
very good to know!! (sigh of relief)
A cultured selection. I’m also excited for Sledge vs The Labyrinth. Thanks for picking up The Black Crown! I hope you enjoy your time with it
Thanks John! I'm very much looking forward to reading your book!

I love The Kingsbridge series!
I've only heard good things!
Yeah SLEDGE!! ⚒️💀❤️
Can't wait!
You should add a link to your Goodreads in the descriptions. I did a quick search the other day and could not find it.
That's a great idea. I'll do that!
How was that Batman novel you have there? Never knew that existed.
I wish I remembered! I read it so long ago, I honestly can't remember anything. Might be time soon to read it again!
