Workers trapped 70 feet on billboard rescued | FOX 5 News

Some tense moments in DeKalb County on Wednesday after three men become stuck on a billboard up more than 70 feet in the air. They’re back on solid ground now thanks to rescue workers.

They've added so many "safety" features to those lifts now, it's actually become more of a safety hazard when they activate. I go up farther then they did on this job, and have been stuck on occasion. The ground crew knew how to use the manual controls at the ground panel, and we finally got it back running. Another time, the crane operator got me out with a safety strap and hoisted me out. It's wild out there. Glad to see they had fall protection harnesses on!
