girl!! this is so pretty! i found you on tik tok, and i'm so glad i did! 4 hours ago i poured resin coasters with gold leaf and dried flowers, but i learned from your video to do it in stages, thank you. i just looked, and of course some gold leaf and flowers raised up... cant wait to learn more from you! question, the tape doesn't leave marks on the top of the table? and, when your using the razor, are you cutting inside around the edge, or trimming the tape off the top?
Aweee! Thank you so very much for joining me! I kept the bottom of the table the part that comes in contact with the tape to avoid lines. But the lines were minimal and can be taken off with sandpaper! I also trimmed the top and around the edge for the sides so the wouldn’t be to wavy!

What is that round thing you're using called? Also are you putting the sticky part of tape upwards or downwards
How long do you leave each layer and where do you get the resin?
This is beautiful!! Here in arizona outside temperature can get up to 120 F in summer and we have over 110 F temp contiguously for such a long time. Will the rasin top survive this temperature or will get damaged or melt? Please suggest. Thanks!!
I’m not 100 percent sure. The resin I use does have some heat resistance. So it all depends on the type of resin!

This is actually a baking pan! I snagged mine from Walmart! Always keep your eye peeled you never know what can be used unless you look!

Im going to use a card board box and a clear plastic garbage bag. I'll sand it down and tada a new desk!

What colours are you putting in please? Mica powders? Alcohol ink? Thanks
In this one I just put glitter. I do use micas and powders though. I usually link them in the description if you see a specific one you like!

Someone told me yesterday that it corroded her resin but I don’t think it was casting resin.
Yes! I love using alcohol inks! They’re so fun!

Where you buy the trail
do you use a blow torch to dry the resin or does it cure naturally? I was thinking no power tools also means no blow torch but thought id check :)
Nope it had a curing time. Which is typically 24-48 hours
What type of resin did u use?
Hello...so my tape did stick to the bottom of the resin. Any suggestions?
I’ve never had that happen. I’m sorry to hear that! I’m not sure what to do, typically resin doesn’t stick to that type of material
StudioStorm Art Maybe my tape is cheap, I did purchase from the dollar store. Haha. What brand tape do you typically use?
I use duck tape brand. You can try sanding it off then doing a thin coat of resin to get rid of the sanding marks!

How much resin should i buy for a project like this
I would buy a half gallon to a gallon depending on how thick the flowers are!
