    My goodness, this is amazing! My knee had been bothering me for months when a couple of days ago I decided I needed to get serious about seeking treatment. I happened to see this video recommended on a rebounding site, tried it and got immediate relief. I will continue to do this set of stretches regularly. Thank you so much!!

    Thanks! I tried this today after irritating the muscles / ligaments around my knee and maybe overuse. I had arthroscopic knee surgery in sept 2023 and was doing some of your others/ and another rehab group daily but will ease back into what I do to avoid inflammation. Finally off the little bits of meds I was taking to take the edge off and icing, so think I am safe to ease back in. I ended up doing the floor part on my bed with my bands as I have some shoulder issues propped on pillows for part of it and lying down and worked great. I agree, you could do this daily to work those muscles and stretch them gently. Some of these reminded me of my PT days after surgery. Thank you!

    Great to find this knee pain workout. I have osteoporosis in my knee (and many other body parts) and this is definitely going in my daily routine. I do various forms of exercise/yoga to manage and this will be a great addition! I love and enjoy working out with you every day, Lauren. I found your channel @ 3 weeks ago and I’m so very happy I did! 🙏🏻

    This is incredible! My teen has been experiencing knee pain, and her pediatrician was considering referring her to PT. I saw this video and decided to have her try it first. With a $6 investment in a therapy stretch strap on Amazon and your AMAZING content, she is feeling so much better. You saved us so much time , money, and hassle. Thank you!!!

      Yay! Thrilled to hear that this was helpful. Does she play a sport? Sometimes overdeveloped muscles/muscle imbalances cause knee pain. Because she is young, that's what I assume is the issue.
      Thanks for your support as always :)

    Thanks for pointing out the Knee Pain video, Lauren. How do leg muscles get so tight when I’m exercising everyday? Is it all the sitting that traveling and meditation demands? 🙃Didn’t have bands with me so used a long scarf for stretching. 💡 Adding this one to my morning until it gets comfortable. I notice you have weekly plans to work on all areas, strength and flexibility. Aiming to follow those next! Really look forward to your classes. Thanks.

      @SeniorShapeFitness  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Wonderful! Yes, our legs will tend to tighten as soon as we sit and "deactivate" them. It's a good idea to give them a quick stretch and shake them out whenever you can.

    I have no idea what I did that brought about the knee pain I experience (albeit only at night when I’m trying to fall asleep), but I’m glad to have some targeted strengthening to address it.

    • @SeniorShapeFitness
      @SeniorShapeFitness  ปีที่แล้ว

      Happy to hear it's helpful. I wondering if your pain is at night, perhaps it could be from overuse or dehydration. Make sure you are not overdoing exercise (they will feel more achy) and stay hydrated. If you are working out more lately you may also need to eat more protein too.

    one of my knees is painful during the quad stretch. Any advice?

    • @SeniorShapeFitness
      @SeniorShapeFitness  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Lori. Good job listening to your body. Don't pull your foot too close to your bottom, just stop when you feel pain. Focus on tilting your pelvis forward to get a good stretch in the quad. hope that helps!

  • @JennNahrstadt

    Tell Mike his sound beds are great! Supportive and enhancing, but not distracting.

    Hi Lauren. I have been doing this knee workout for several weeks and have found the strength and mobility in my knees has greatly improved. My concern right now is that when I do toe raises it really messes with my bunion on my right foot. Is there a good calf exercise that I can do that does not involve toe raises?

    • @SeniorShapeFitness
      @SeniorShapeFitness  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Sandra. I'm thrilled that your knees are better, that's great to hear! Instead of calf raises you can do simple pointing and flexing of the feet. A few other tips to reduce any pain with your bunion is to focus on spreading out the weight more to your pinky toe. I know I say in my videos weight should be more towards your big toe, but in your case shifting may take some of the pressure off. a lot of people also have luck with toe speaders. Have you tried these? They can also help in distributing the weight on the foot. hope that helps!

    • @sandranesky9269
      @sandranesky9269 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SeniorShapeFitness The toe speaders you mentioned - are you wearing them in one of your videos? Do you have a source you can share?

    • @SeniorShapeFitness
      @SeniorShapeFitness  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sandranesky9269 I’m not wearing them in any of my videos. Here is a link to one example: www.amazon.com/dp/B07M5C72VQ/ref=sspa_dk_detail_3?pd_rd_i=B07M5C72VQ&pd_rd_w=6jd2J&pf_rd_p=0c758152-61cd-452f-97a6-17f070f654b8&pd_rd_wg=zS34A&pf_rd_r=3S0XCTW3AQM21J4RTEM5&pd_rd_r=6b1b8741-9129-4142-b508-a25e18a9c1da&s=hpc&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFBWlVMWlpZMUtPVjEmZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTAxNDAyNzMxR0k4Skg3VkVONTZVJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA0NTU5MTcxREQyUzRaUzNFV1ZFJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfZGV0YWlsJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ&th=1

    Pls don't talk all the time. It is visible and clear what you are doing. There is a new technics you can write on the screen what is the exetcise etc.

    • @SeniorShapeFitness
      @SeniorShapeFitness  2 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      At university I completed my senior thesis on learning styles. Some people learn best by hearing the exercise and some people need to see it. I also talk through the exercises so viewers don’t have to crane their neck to look at a screen.
      If you prefer no talking, then I suggest you simply mute.

    Hi Lauren - Noela here - hey, how did you know that I have a "ditsy" knee? :)...so much so that it can keep me awake at night some times, especially after doing a heavy lower body workout. thanks for this stretch, I'll keep it as a regular stretch routine of mine & as always you are always so calm and relaxing to listen to so it a bit meditative for me too!. All the best, Noela.

      Thanks for the feedback as always. So glad this routine works for you, but I'm sorry your knee is so bad that it keeps you up at night! I know it may seem counterintuitive, but putting ice on it may help because it will help reduce any inflammation. Be well!
