    yeah it might've been a dev oversight but it seems to be only a structure limit in the area. They simply don't get disabled if you go over the limit.

      no adding a turret lim where turrets didn't shoot was a dev oversight. when they added this update if you had too many turrets no turrets would shoot so people would drive turret rafts or place autos to stop turrets shooting and raid you that is why turrets still shoot over cap.

      is this still a thing? because 150 turrets when booms so easy is so not enough turrets lol

    Thank you brotha on a 150 max turret limit server and was wondering after building for hours and had over 200 that's said the same just wanted to make sure they still shoot thank ya brotha

      you can, if you place them in certain orders you can have turrets that are overcapped. for instance, you build a rack of 50 on the left side and then a rack of 50 in the middle, the turrets on the left are far enough away that you can build another rack of 50 on the right, making the rack in the middle overcapped.

    The thing is that of more than 100 turrets with limit shoots at the same enemy they will not shoot

    What if the target is in range of the overcapped turrets? Like you have an overcapped death wall with front and sides and there's a target in the middle of them, will all the 150+ shoot on that same target? They probably shot on different targets, but will they shoot against the same? Also mix a lil bit players only and players + tames, in my experience only several fire at once, (with mounted player on stego) some begins shooting after a while. Not sure if it's a server side config.

      Maybe some of turrets were survior only? Depending on the tame, those might just nit shoot

      @@FlexYourFreedoms it was before the shielded ones like andrew, so stego, owls, pteras, carbos.
      In a wall with 300+ turrets, only a third of the wall fired at a time, once that side got destroyed or soaked, the others would start to shoot. Happened to me while defending and while raiding. I believe its a bug with the game, I mean... it has more bugs than working stuff that wouldn't be crazy to imagine that.
      Experienced the "turret capping" while raiding in lava cave on Lost Island, experienced it while defending on Oil Cave on valguero. The oil was thicc on turrets, I noticed the bug while having owls diving into the main wall but getting snared, some front turrets would just track the animal while other turrets in the main wall fire, then after the owl moved or some other tame came, then the front turrets would shoot the new tame but the wall ones didn't.

    Pls try 100 turrets on raft and drive together so that 200 turrets or more with more raft, wil they still work?

      They all still work no matter how many turrets you have in range, however, only 100 turrets can shoot at a single target. Can't have 200 turrets all shooting at 1 stego. But if there are two stegos in range then 100 of them will shoot at one atego and the remaining 100 will shoot at the other stego. This goes for any number of turrets over 100. Be it 150, 200, or 1000 if you could find a way to make that work

    On official Half the turrets won’t fire and some will even change there target. I’ve tested this plenty of times at my gen 2 official base.

    The funny thing is. Even with all these turrets 1 turtle with capped saddle will freaking soak for a good 20 minutes

    For my ascended people, this logic still applies to turrets in asa as well as with generators now

    What happens if your at cap on turrets and your front ones run out of ammo. Will the others then turn on and start firing or will they stay inactive

      Yes and no. People were using stupid methods to disable enemy turrets because of this. because of Abb's batteries, people were spamming them battery autos to disable turrets at an enemy base. People were also doing raft builds (where applicable), etc. So they had to hotfix it, and then ended with this current "over cap" to protect against it.

      You can create procedurally generated maps, no mods or PC needed.

    I thought they went out of their way several patches ago to explicitly state that turrets that are over the turret capacity (based on server settings) would no longer shoot.
    Was that reverted? Never implemented?

      no i think it was until gen 2 that all overcapped wouldnt shoot until other ones in turret ranger were destroyed/ soaked
