For bloodstalkers you have to overweight them to the point where they can hardly move and they will grab and can be stuck on walls like 5-20 weight missing
Easiest way is to put it in a Dino leash on minimum they grab people who try and run your walls
Servers that give dinos close to 1M weight: “fuck you”

Big brain idea put a chaclotherium wall perpendicular to your death wall at the inside pathway of a lava cave base and they will knock the soakers into the lava with knock back😳
I'm just now getting to this video, but my Tribe and I did that in the lava cave on Ragnarok, made our base pretty much unraidable since they HAD to come inside the room in order to raid us...sadly Magmasaurs changed that...

Basilisk and poison wyvern’s ranged attacks are basically a better dilo ranged attack

I feel like the chalice can be used to knock back stegos trying to rocket run your wall so that way they wouldn't be able to get close without killing the chalice, I also feel like they would be really op for lava cave on rag.

Turret mode dinos are great additions to the usual defenses and it makes me sorta sad that you really only see velos being used. Especially now that arthros and breedable, having a few of those lining your cave entrances will screw a raiders day up and give you tons of broken flak kits to collect. High hp leveled dilos are actually useful in small areas too as a tiny extra buff to your side in a close quarters fight.
Using them properly, most of these can have a place as addition defense and it blows my mind that they're often so overlooked
Nice vid! Chalis are very useful for oil cave defence if you're riding them. They can bounce the rock around the corner which deals meh damage to soakers but the knock back helps delay them moving in, allowing a ridden giga to do most of the damage before they reach turrets. The damage scales with melee if they're ridden so a decent melee chali can one/two shot enemies on foot wearing good flak. It also ruins armour
The mesopithecus has a turret mode as well that you can show.

If i had to guess, the webs are disabled for bloodstalkers when over encumbered because it's tied to the climbing mechanic in some way

He should maybe try riding the stego into some of that stuff so we can see if the fear still makes you run away or if you can walk through the knockback

FYI seeds have a decay timer now so they aren’t the best thing to use to weigh something down for an extended period of time
What if chalice knock back was used to force people to deep into your base where Volos and turrets destroy them
Bloodstalker when climbing in a wall or ceiling only shoots webs like is already on turret mode

These are really useful can you do one on each boss and the engrams, element and strategy for it
So if you’re on a boosted server, USE THE CHALICOTHERIUM!!! The damage scaling for them is very very high, and can do alot of damage. I’ve had good bred Chalicos quarter healthing steggos.

Overweighted Bloodstalkers can't grab you, u need to either put it in a dino leash or build it in with 2 fence supports so it can't move.
can you make a video of how to do that please ?

You can put a blood stalker on a leash and then put it on agressive so it can web people because when it's over weight it won't do it.

Will chailicotherium shoot when inside a box to prevent snipers? And test it on different caves so that people won't be able to soak because of the knockback
I believe if you just put a bloodstalker on a wall on aggressive it'll just stay there webbing.
The combination is amazing with cali velo rock golem and vultures and auto player defense
Use a player only and take detect for ur tames
You don’t need to weigh the blood stalkers down. Just put a dino leash around them and put them near the edge of where you want them to stay. They will pull stuff then.

Here’s a way to add dynamic to turret mode defenses. There’s a video on “tame towers” out there using dimorphodon and that’s where the idea came from. Underwater base scenario is what works the best so far and the set up is simple. Have Rock Golems on turret mode and have a variety of tames following the golems. Put those tames on attack target, follow distance high or highest, ignore group whistles and target range high. When anything comes within range of the golem all those tames on follow will attack, and if the target flees and de-aggros, the tames will turn and go back to the golem they are following, which makes it hard to kite them away. Using baryonyx will knock someone off of their tame then megalodons, sarcos, mosas ect munch away.
Problem being that tusos exist, and I can't think of any location that you can build where tusos can't just tentacle things from out of range.
I've used bloodstalkers stuck to the ceiling on aggressive before to grab wild dinos, so maybe try that

Not bad, would have been 4x better if you were using the awesome spyglass or some other mod to allow you to see health at range
Base defense idea when someone raids you and your online chain bola their soaker and then fear roar it with a yuta and attack it with a giga
With blood stalkers you need to use metal fence supports to block it into 1 spot, you can't have it overweight though, trust me, it will grab people

Reapers + chalico would be op if you could build them a cage like a velo. It would make you turret walls unreachable unless they died
you could make a hole and put a giga on agressive there and put chali to knock back people in the hole.
Helpful tip: velos on turret mode cap at a damage of 225 so if your pop is above that there is no point in leveling higher if u want it to be a turret velo, level hp.

Big downside to turret dinos is that they can be sniped so if u are doing them make sure to put them in a not so easily sniped spot or just not at all
Spider works if it's not overweight, build a little cage around it with the same settings.
Could also be that he was in gcm
@@bvvvvn it's because the spider was overweight. They don't auto web if they're overweight. Build a cage around it or use dino leashes

Basilisk is pretty useful when people soaking on their dinos
Does yuti scare stack and go through walls? Because 2 yutis behind an oil cave wall instantly scaring any soakers outside or inside would be broken
There roar effect comes from the center of the chest and if you cover that area...no it's roar will not work.
Test if dinos on turret mode targeting tames or players will shoot c4 on a carbo, that could be super nice cause you can put all your turrets on survivors and have velos for c4 carbos.
No turret mode dinos do not shoot c4. C4 does blow up if it gets bit or hit directly though. Also anywhere turret mode dinos are in line of sight they can be shot or comped pretty fast. Careful using turret mode dinos on outside bases as wild titans can be lured to the base. Used this to raid bases a few times lol
Bloodstalker does work, theres a easy way around the overencumber stopping webs

@@blossompuff7521 make a small box for it with fence supports. Get on, n make sure it still has good view n set aggressive, but not at turrets cus ppl will use it to easy rocket run turrets. Has to be away from turrets by a bit

great video just a bit sad that you did not test bloodstalkers correctly, they are hands down the best dino defense you can have in caves and crouch areas in combination with turrets they are broken af, maybe do folluwup video about that?
Yea, I should have tested them more. I already made few test for myself and I regret not having that in the video. If you have any tips about them, I would really appreciate it!
@@ArkTested thnx for reply i would use them on agressive and max range and lock them in with fence support. that way they grab people. they even grab people trough mesh and walls atleast at spider cave its pretty crazy was just wondering if there where more better or convenient ways to set them up

after 2,000hrs i have found the best defensive setup for dino's and best part is its for mainly offline defense yuty fyi has a 10 foundation range, i recommend using these dino's for defense ..... R-Velo, r-daeodon, dimorphodon, Basilisk, X- yuty, R-reaper, featherlight, R-Allo's, Mantis, Poison wyv, armagaurs and the giganthopithiceus

Hey! Ark tested! Not really too pvp but after 13k hours official ps4 i have always wondered. Does harvesting a resource eg. Picking bushes, smacking rocks with pickaxe/hatchet, mining drill. Does damaging the same spot get you more resources or less resources i know thing have hp but when I jiggle around with a mining drill it seems I get a lot more
That has no effect, I've tried this out in the past and the only thing that effects gathering is the gather rates, harvest health and melee of the tool you are using. Human melee has no effect on bushes but dino melee does. Hope this helps :)

Velos won't get better damage because of the hard limit in turret mode.
Dinos like Rock Elemental, Basilisk and others that turret mode damage scales with melee will get better damage with Yuti buff.
Don't forget about the mesopithicus... they throw poop

The problem there is that someone set up to run turrets will practically never get hit by slow, arcing arthro spit.

More time added to the raid especially if you pump hp. These strats are not about keeping your base safe it’s about delaying the raider as much as possible
Don't use a magma as turret defense. Its just going to die from a fabi or comp bow.
