    Howdy guys, new to your great channel - enjoying your content very much, compliments to you both and thank you! One comment that was told to me by a guy who taught me how to repair punctures [he used to work for a tyre place], was ALWAYS wear eye protection when doing this to prevent any steel fibres/dust/grit from flying out of the tyre at high pressure straight into your eyes... SAFETY FIRST - especially our eyes!!! 😁🤗

    Another great one. Don’t let anyone tell you that those tyre plugs are temporary. I’ve been using them since the late 70s and driven tens and tens of thousands kilometres with them in everything from American muscle cars to fourbys. Nearly 45 years without incident.

      I agree, it has been up to 50psi towing the van and is currently sitting at 16 psi halfway through a week of beach driving!
      Cheers Mick, Appreciate your viewership and leaving a comment once again.

    Thanks for sharing another great video, you sure have a great eye for a good scene, the drone video is amazing. Couldn't find a bakery either but the cafe's are to die for. We stayed at Big 4 Cannonvale in July at $74/night and thought our throats were cut, just paid the bill for 21 days at Evans Head, $1,717, so $82/night for an ensuite site over Christmas, New year. We absolutely loved Cannonvale, Airlie Beach and Shute Harbour. On the way back we could not get in so stayed at Conway Beach, not quite the same atmosphere. Don't be too hard on the poor old Butcher Birds. Thanks for the tire repair demo. I too have a similar kit but have never used it on the DMax, though I have used the one I carry on the motorcyle on other peoples tyres. Cheers and keep up the good work on all your media.

      Thanks for tuning in again Rob! Agreed, the prices are absurd. That’s why we try free camp as much as possible. I enjoy the birds company. Hayley not so much. She has been attacked a few times 😂
      The tyre repair kit is worth its weight and a great bit of kit to get you out of a pickle 👌🏼

    Good ep guys. Shute harbour area looked very much like NZ especially the Marlborough sounds. Top of the south Island. 👌 Love the tropical look of Airlie Beach 🌴

    Great vid, bit of a change from the Cape 😁 been following you from the start, appreciate your honesty. Where in Airlie Beach did you stay?

    • @our.australia.trip.
      @our.australia.trip.  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      A massive change from the Cape, but a welcome one! Thanks for the support and tuning in 😊
      We stayed at the NRMA park in town for around $50/night. Unfortunately there are no free camps or low cost beach camps in the area.

    What app did you use to demonstrate the trip at the start of the episode? It showed you moving along the coastline.

    What a lovely episode, you had me smiling all the way through 😊. Although a bit sad to see the last of the Cape washed off, I wanted that adventure to never end 😂. How amazingly beautiful and diverse is Aus, every part of it so spectacular.
