The lesson from this conflict…. Anything that relies on GPS is a vulnerability. In any major conflict the 1st thing that will be jammed will be GPS. And based on what we’ve experienced in Ukraine, Russian electronic warfare is way better than ours. The switchblade & HIMARS have all but been neutralized…. Both rely on GPS.

New lancet drones can actually detect a military vehicle before operator focuses at it. I've seen a video where it detected vehicles when camera was completly zoomed out. It created a green square over it.
The truth is that we see Lancets in the thousands in Ukraine while the Switchblade is almost not even present. I don't think the Switchblade 600 is being made in large quanities so it would make since to see so more Lancet hits vs Switch. There just isn't a way to compare the results when one really isn't present. I have seen dozens on Lancet strikes but have rarely seen it result in a devastating total loss. Matter a fact, the Lancet strikes almost never show the end results which makes me believe most do not completely destroy the western equipment they target. Usually it take many hits on one target or the targets are just disabeled.
Think you'll find the latest lancet 3 with 6 pounds of high explosives and an armour piercing tungsten shell will take care of most of the armoured vehicles it hits.

If you ask me, setting up an entire ramp is much more challenging than using a container which is especially designed to simplify the drone lauch as much as possible. This container eventually is the reason why the american type can be launched even in dificult situations, where it would be impossible to set up an entire ramp for the russian type. Yeah I was thinking the same. Lancet seems to be optimized for a mechanized operation. Need a truck to bring the ramp, setup the wings, program the route. Switchblade seems to be optimized more of a infantry weapon and targets of opportunity weapon witch would make sense since US has been fighting guerrilla war against afghans etc. Lancet do seems to be better weapon of full scale war than switchblade. Different design goals I guess.
There is no need to carry a tube to each lancet. Guides will be reusable. Also, Lancet 3 has a range and duty time much higher than a switchblade, which allows you to launch drones from a safe distance. That is, drive up in a truck with several drones and guide rails.
It isn't a ramp, it's a rod roughly 2 meters long, with a trench down the length of the spine that the lancet sits in. It can't weigh more than 1.2kg (~1/3rd the weight of an M4 Carbine). Even the Kornet launcher/tripod which weighs several kilos due to the optics can be carried by just two guys.
They need to make drone skins out of TV screen material with cameras pointing every direction so they look invisible from any angle by matching the sky color. Or if there's a plane higher it looks the same color as the ground.

Switchblade is a spec ops system, designed to counter ambushes in Afghanistan according to AFSOC request, with unit cost about $80,000 per Switchblade 300 and ~$176,000 per Switchblade 600. Lancet is a general purpose army UAV/loitering munition conceived for mass production as any other general purpose weapon system. That is why you see lots of footage with Lancet destroying things and not so much with Switchblade. Lancet is the AK of loitering munitions.

US DOD terminated the switchblade progre program and cancelled all purchases due to poor performance and being far more expensive than the lancet. 35k for lancet, 59k for switchblade300 and double that for the 600. For drones that failed so bad the US flat out terminated the whole thing to start from scratch. Thats how bad switchblade is.

I have seen one video of a switchblade trying to hit soldiers sitting on a tank but it missed... Americans were saying that the soldiers could have gotten killed by the sharpenel but we all know that's just wishful thinking.
The Ukraine theatre opened up many issues on all sides in an actual combat scenario the effectiveness or non effectiveness of each modern drone or guidance system to accurately and effectively engage the enemy on a battlefield. The Russians jamming mechanisms to intrude with GPS guided systems seems to do an effective job at diverting smart bombs or any GPS guided weapons to their targets. There is a lot to talk about in all the engineering departments that provide these tools of war. The competition is fierce and aggressive in these trial times.
The Switchblade 600 has been very effective against the T14 - a non-existent missile against a non-existent tank.

New lancet drones can actually detect a military vehicle before operator focuses at it. I've seen a video where it detected vehicles when camera was completly zoomed out. It created a green square over it.
The truth is that we see Lancets in the thousands in Ukraine while the Switchblade is almost not even present. I don't think the Switchblade 600 is being made in large quanities so it would make since to see so more Lancet hits vs Switch. There just isn't a way to compare the results when one really isn't present. I have seen dozens on Lancet strikes but have rarely seen it result in a devastating total loss. Matter a fact, the Lancet strikes almost never show the end results which makes me believe most do not completely destroy the western equipment they target. Usually it take many hits on one target or the targets are just disabeled.
Think you'll find the latest lancet 3 with 6 pounds of high explosives and an armour piercing tungsten shell will take care of most of the armoured vehicles it hits.

But you need 100s of them to launch each individually and it takes more area to install, but with this Lancet you need one catapult hidden behind bushes and can be launched every 10-20 seconds

If you ask me, setting up an entire ramp is much more challenging than using a container which is especially designed to simplify the drone lauch as much as possible. This container eventually is the reason why the american type can be launched even in dificult situations, where it would be impossible to set up an entire ramp for the russian type.
So I question your conclussion a little.
Yeah I was thinking the same. Lancet seems to be optimized for a mechanized operation. Need a truck to bring the ramp, setup the wings, program the route. Switchblade seems to be optimized more of a infantry weapon and targets of opportunity weapon witch would make sense since US has been fighting guerrilla war against afghans etc. Lancet do seems to be better weapon of full scale war than switchblade. Different design goals I guess.
There is no need to carry a tube to each lancet. Guides will be reusable.
Also, Lancet 3 has a range and duty time much higher than a switchblade, which allows you to launch drones from a safe distance. That is, drive up in a truck with several drones and guide rails.
It isn't a ramp, it's a rod roughly 2 meters long, with a trench down the length of the spine that the lancet sits in. It can't weigh more than 1.2kg (~1/3rd the weight of an M4 Carbine). Even the Kornet launcher/tripod which weighs several kilos due to the optics can be carried by just two guys.

They need to make drone skins out of TV screen material with cameras pointing every direction so they look invisible from any angle by matching the sky color. Or if there's a plane higher it looks the same color as the ground.

Switchblade is a spec ops system, designed to counter ambushes in Afghanistan according to AFSOC request, with unit cost about $80,000 per Switchblade 300 and ~$176,000 per Switchblade 600. Lancet is a general purpose army UAV/loitering munition conceived for mass production as any other general purpose weapon system. That is why you see lots of footage with Lancet destroying things and not so much with Switchblade. Lancet is the AK of loitering munitions.

US DOD terminated the switchblade progre program and cancelled all purchases due to poor performance and being far more expensive than the lancet. 35k for lancet, 59k for switchblade300 and double that for the 600. For drones that failed so bad the US flat out terminated the whole thing to start from scratch. Thats how bad switchblade is.
