Any mature christian knows there are days you feel nothing for your awesome spouse. Not because of anything they did. You continue to do loving things and dwell on the positive and feelings come back even without those acts. Waiting until feelings come back is immature and short sighted. He needs to understand his feelings for God Is secondary to whether God exists or not. Ive seen him before and comes across as very emotional from the questions he asks.

I can understand this more than most I believe. I have been a Christian ever since I was 8 years old. However, I too have felt that God was hidden from me at one point. It was the day I lost my daughter. Never in my life have I felt so broken or hurt. Even writing this down, all those memories flash back. I remember praying to God in those moments to give me some moment of peace and comfort, but it never came. I never felt so alone in my life. However, when I eventually read the word and began to contemplate everything, I came to these conclusions. The first conclusion is that tragedy doesn't disprove God. God can exist whether bad things happen or not. The second conclusion I had was that tragedy doesn't disprove the Bible. The Bible does not promise an easy life to those who follow Christ. Finally, my third conclusion, the most powerful thing I learned in that time was that, while I was grieving, God was grieving with me. I then remembered one intrinsic truth about Christianity that actually gave me a level of comfort. God doesn't just know my pain intellectually, but he understands it personally because he too lost his own son. He too knows what it's like to be a grieving father. While it is not ideal, the knowledge that God understands me on a human level is extremely powerful.

About 20 years ago, I remember crying & yelling at God - I said ‘this faith stuff would be a lot easier if I could SEE you!!’ I kind of laugh when I look back at that - and I imagine that God had a little chuckle too. But I really was frustrated & I felt kind of lost and lonely. Fast forward 20-some years - I have gone through periods of being a ‘prodigal daughter’ - but I always come back to Him. When I stay close to Him & follow His ways - my life is always much better.. and I have peace and joy and assurance. Just because I can’t see something doesn’t mean it is not there. It is written "Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God". As a young kid I literally cried out to God and asked him about something minor. I stopped, I believed 1000 percent, and waited. I felt my heart as if an ice cold feeling. I did not doubt or have second thoughts. God delivered. At that moment I saw God. @Notim not everything in science is true, or solid. But I do agree that it helps us explain things we wouldn’t otherwise understand/explain in the detail in which we can explain it with science. It even helps us prove many of the historical, and archeological facts in the Bible. (Frank Turek understands this pretty well, just listen to him others like him speak on it.)
But never the less.. even in science “seeing” isn’t always believing. Have you “seen” gravity? Have you “seen” radiation or sound waves? Have you “seen” time?! No, but it doesn’t stop you from accepting the affects of them on us and the truth of its existence. The same way we see the affects of God and the truths of His word, which come to fruition over time -TIME and TIME again as history has unfolded. How could mere men predict these prophetic, HISTORICALLY documented events in the future, if they were not being led by God (or at the very least, a power much higher then themselves)? 🤷🏾‍♂️
Just my thoughts based off what I know to be true about the Bible. Study it for yourself, before you try to knock it with worldly ideas that don’t actually disprove anything in the Bible.

Archaeological digs have proved very little of the bible. There is proof of a handful of kings, a handful of battles, the Judean exile to Babylon and lots of locations and daily behaviors of the Hebrews and others. But most people and events in the bible are not proven and much of the time contradicted.

    • @JiuJitsuRanger
      @JiuJitsuRanger 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@Notim again, just bc you haven’t seen it for yourself (healing after laying of hands) doesn’t make it not true/possible. You’ve likely seen a lot of false teachers/prophets who claim to know the truth or be a Christian attempt to do so and rightly fail at it. No surprise to the true Christian believer.
But let me just share one last thing and I’ll be done.
From an article I found on Bible reasons that I think explains well what’s happening in the world and even in the comments as we speak:
“When you’re spiritually blind you can’t see Christ because you hardened your heart and won’t come to the knowledge of the truth.
When you’re spiritually blind you are separated from God and you will continue to lie to yourself. God’s not real, the Bible is false, hell is fake, I’m a good person, Jesus was just a man, etc.
Spiritual blindness is the reason that you can preach Biblical things to false Christians, but they still find excuses for their sin and rebellion.
You can give them scripture after scripture, but they will find anything they can to keep and justify their sin. Have you ever wondered how you can continuously tell someone the gospel of Christ and they agree with what you say, but they never repent, and trust in Christ?
The spiritually blind person must cry out to God, but pride stops them. Pride stops people from seeking the truth and opening up their minds to the truth. People choose to remain ignorant.
People in false religions like Catholicism, Mormonism, Islam, Jehovah Witness, etc. are spiritually blind. They reject clear as day passages.”
This is even the case in MOST “Christian” churches, sadly, but God said it would be that way. Just look at some of these verses where he calls it out.
Jesus talking to his believers after he resurrected from the dead:
John 14:17-20 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.
      2. 1 Corinthians 2:14 The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.
      3. 1 Corinthians 1:18-19 The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God. As the Scriptures say, “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and discard the intelligence of the intelligent.”
      4. Matthew 15:14 so ignore them. They are blind guides leading the blind, and if one blind person guides another, they will both fall into a ditch.”
      5. 1 John 2:11 But anyone who hates another brother or sister is still living and walking in darkness. Such a person does not know the way to go, having been blinded by the darkness.
      7. 1 Corinthians 1:23 but we preach about a crucified Christ, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles.
Satan is real, and until Jesus comes back for his new people, Satan is called “the prince of the air” (of this world -ever since his fall from heaven) and blinds many people from the truth. (Which started with the deception of Adam and Eve, our first earthly mother and father for all of mankind. Which science proves in all of our DNA that we all share the same specific genetic code to support this idea, and can share a link for that if you’d like)
      8. 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 If the Good News we preach is hidden behind a veil, it is hidden only from people who are perishing. Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.
      9. 2 Corinthians 11:14 But I am not surprised! Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.
People furthermore don’t see the truth because of the hardening of their heart.
      10. John 12:39-40 This is why they could not believe: Isaiah also said, “He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, so that they might not perceive with their eyes, and understand with their mind and turn, and I would heal them.”
      11. 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 He will use every kind of evil deception to fool those on their way to destruction, because they refuse to love and accept the truth that would save them. So God will cause them to be greatly deceived, and they will believe these lies. Then they will be condemned for enjoying evil rather than believing the truth.
BUT there is a hope. His name is Jesus. A hope for ANYONE who is to truly believe. Even you. If his spirit calls to you after hearing the truth. You don’t have to remain in this darkness and hardness of your heart, as the scriptures describe us ALL to be, before we come know Him. You can come to know the Lord too, if Gods wills it to be. What does that look like? It looks like you taking a posture of great humility, and asking God to soften your heart to Him and His truth, in patience, and repent (turn 180°) from your sin, so that you truly may be saved. If that happens… You will be. His words says so. Do we all still sin. Yes, because we still live in this tainted body, but we sin far less than we used to by His grace, and are now made aware of it, so we best know how to identify it (with scripture/prayer) and can cut it off from us as we stay diligently in His word & prayer, daily. All so that we may be sustained and preserved in our faith, until the last day.
“Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost? For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory, and in His Father’s, and of the holy angels.”

I always learn about new ways God has created this beautiful world did you know that when birds sing in the morning the musical tune actually opens flowers.
I also have a good imagination so maybe this leads to it but I can actually feel his hand holding my heart and his energy and warmth in me.
    Glory to God.

In the Old Testament there appears the concept of Yahweh’s having a heavenly court, the sons of God. They are referred to variously as the ‘sons of God’ (bene ha ‘elohim, Gen 6.2, 4; Job 1.6, 2.2; or bene ‘elohim, Job 38.7), the ‘sons of gods’ (bene ‘elim, Pss. 29.1, 89.7 [ET 6]) or the ‘sons of the Most High’ (bene ‘elyon, Ps. 82.6). *It is also generally agreed that we should read ‘sons of God’ (bene ‘elohim) for ‘sons of Israel’ in Deut. 32.8 (see below).*
There are further numerous places where the heavenly court is referred to without specific use of the expressions ‘sons of God(s)’ or ‘sons of the Most High’. Thus, the heavenly court is mentioned in connection with the first human(s) (Gen 1.26, 3.22; Job 15.7-8) or elsewhere in the primaeval history (Gen. 11.7; cf. Gen 6.2 above), and in the context of the divine call or commission to prophecy (1 Kgs 22.19-22; Isa 40.3,6; Jer. 23.18, 22; cf. Amos 3.7). We also find it referred to in connection with the guardian gods or angels of the nations (Isa.24.21; Ps. 82.1; Ecclus 17.17; Jub. 15.31-32; cf. Deut 32.8 and Ps. 82.6 above; implied in Dan 10.13, 20; 12.1). Apart from the isolated references to the divine assembly on the sacred mountain in Isa 14.13 and to personified Wisdom in the divine assembly in Ecclus 24.2, the other references to the heavenly court are more general (Zech. 1.10-11, 3.7, 14.5; Ps. 89.6-8 [ET 17], 7.10, 21, 25, 27, 8.10-13; cf. Job 1.6, 2.2, 38.7 and Pss. 29.1, 89.7 [ET 6] above). Just as an earthly king is supported by a body of courtiers, so Yahweh has a heavenly court. *Originally, these were gods, but as monotheism became absolute, so these were demoted to the status of angels.*

*It is in connection with the Canaanite god El and his pantheon of gods, known as the ‘sons of El’, that a direct relationship with the Old Testament is to be found. That this is certain can be established from the fact that both were* ***seventy*** *in number.* At Ugarit we read in the Baal myth of ‘the ***seventy*** sons of Asherah (Athirat)’ (sb’m. bn. ‘atrt, KTU 1.4. VI.46). Since Asherah was El’s consort, this therefore implies that El’s sons were ***seventy*** in number. *Now Deut. 32.8, which is clearly dependent on this concept,* declares, ‘When the Most High gave to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of men, he fixed the bounds of the peoples according to the number of the sons of God’. The reading ‘sons of God’ (bene ‘elohim) has the support of the Qumran fragment, 4QDeut, the LXX, Symmachus, Old Latin and the Syro-Hexaplaric manuscript, Camb. Or. 929. *This is clearly the original reading, to be preferred to the MT’s ‘sons of Israel’ (bene yisra’el), which must have arisen as a deliberate alteration on the part of a scribe who did not approve of the polytheistic overtones of the phrase ‘sons of God’.* Interestingly, it is known that the Jews believed there to be ***seventy*** nations on earth, so that the sons of God were accordingly also ***seventy*** in number. This emerges from the table of the nations in Genesis 10, where there are ***seventy*** nations, and from the later Jewish apocalyptic concept according to which there were ***seventy*** guardian angels of the nations (Targum Pseudo-Jonathon on Deut 32.8; 1 En. 89.59-77, 90.22-27). This view, which I have defended previously, seems eminently reasonable.

*Finally, it is interesting to note that the Old Testament never refers to the heavenly court as ‘the sons of Yahweh’.* As we have seen above, apart from one instance of bene ‘elyon, we always find the ‘sons of God’, with words for God containing the letter s ‘l (bene ha ‘elohim, bene ‘elohim, bene ‘elim). *This finds a ready explanation in their origin in the sons of the Canaanite god El.*
Eventually, of course, the name El simply became a general word for ‘God’ in the Old Testament, and so it is found many times.
*"Excerpt from “Yahweh and the Gods and Goddesses of Canaan” by John Day | Lehi's Library"*

Edit: I always fall victim to this weakness. I always want God to bless me according to my own ideas. Then God will do something in my life greater than I could have ever imagined and I feel so sorry for being so faithless. In the end, after I complain, sin, and lose hope, God shows up when I call to Him and He blesses me. His forgiveness is greater than my sin.

The issue of evil and divine hiddenness are two huge problems for all, not just for us, Christians. We try to give answers, we debate, we think, we pray - still, all our attempts are shallow and futile, and far from enough for the soul that is seeking and/or suffering.
God knows i was close a few times in my life to losing faith and abandoning God because i was totally dry in my spirit whatever i tried (begged Him), and it was an experience i wouldn't want to wish upon my enemies - to feel alone and as God either doesn't exist or that He doesn't care.
So unlike several of you, o mighty men of God who don't struggle and who mock Jon, i can't do that because my faith was never too strong as a result of not growing up in a Christian home and coming out of skepticism. I wasn't fortunate enough either like some of my friends to have powerful experiences with God. Let me correct myself - i surely did, but some of my friends' testimonies are on ANOTHER LEVEL! There are still times i feel dry and empty and i wish God to download His peace, joy, beauty, and warmth in my chest as He did before. I long for that so much! I remember that several years ago reading Delighting in God by Tozer was very helpful. I haven't experienced any warm presence of God in a long time - or at least i don't think i did. I still serve Him in all of my imperfections, and wonder often WHY doesn't He show up more often? WHAT is the reason He doesn't intervene more today like in the biblical times? WHY He doesn't prevent more baby rape, incest, or criminals butchering their victims? Why does He seem so distant and silent many times?
These may be the question i will go to the grave with. If my Father chooses not to answer these difficult questions for me, then it is what it is. I surely can't solve those questions by myself. I've listened to many apologists and theologians trying to answer the problems of theodicy and divine hiddenness, but NONE of them was satisfying.
So, unlike you who are so strong in your faith and belittle Jon, i can say honestly - i DO fully understand you, man! And i wish God so mightily manifests in your life to blow your socks off with His fire in your belly and with His delightful presence in your heart!

A Christians ability to sense the presence of God, to walk in power is proportional to the revelation of God that he has. I know people don't like to hear this. Personally, I think there is a necessity for Faith in a relationship with God (as well as any to some degree but my main point is). God, as an infinite being, is and to some extend will always be beyond our total comprehension. Intellectually understanding him is impossible. However, faith enables us to bridge the gap so to speak and have a relationship with him. So, on some level, it is better that he teach us to foster and develop faith, because our ability to observe and understand will never get us anywhere close.

This reminds me of a book - "Dark night of the soul" by St. John of the Cross. He writes about it in a beautiful way, and I think it would help anyone who struggles with this period of doubt, depression and spiritual crisis. Such periods are meant to help us grow and mature spiritually. Just like a mother breastfeeding her child, God is close to us when we become His sons and daughters. But there comes a time when a mother stops breastfeeding her child, when the child has to learn to chew and eat food. The child might feel like the mother is cold, distant, even absent, but she is always there, lovingly guiding and teaching. As a parent, this helped me understand our relationship to God better and despite struggling with severe depression, it helped me get through some really hard periods in life. One of my children has epilepsy and autism, and we discovered this right after becoming a Christian. I struggled a lot with doubt, assurance of salvation and depression. I still do, but God is there, and His love for us is real.

@@sterlingfallsproductions3930 if you never put your trust in God, of course you’re never going to feel god…..because you REFUSE to seek God. Why is that so hard to understand?
You don’t seem to understand the difference between belief “that” and belief “in”.
Why does the Bible talk about Faith?
Because there’s two kinds of Faith. There’s “belief that” and there’s “belief in”.
Belief that is getting evidence that God exists, or that Jesus rose from the dead, or that the Bible’s telling the truth about these things. But all the belief that in the world won’t get your moral transgressions forgiven.
For that you got to go from belief that to belief in. There’s a difference. Belief that is just of the head. Belief in is not only of the head but it’s of the heart. In other words, you can know that something’s true but not accept it, right?
In fact, James, the half brother of Jesus who wrote that little book in the New Testament called…*take a guess*.
James said even the demons believe “that” God exists, but they tremble. You know if God exists and demons exist (and they do), that the demons know that God exists better than we do. They’re in the spiritual realm, but they don’t trust “in him”. Why don’t they want to trust in him? Because there’s a difference between belief that and belief in.
In fact, we know this in relationships don’t we? When I first met my wife 10 years ago, I got evidence that she would be a good wife. But all the evidence in the world didn’t make her my wife. I had to take a step of trust “in” her to ask her to be my wife. That’s the difference between belief that and belief in.
Most of the time when the Bible’s talking about Faith, it’s talking about the second kind, belief in. After you know “that” it’s true, trust “in” it.
In fact, John, at the end of his biography, the second to last chapter he puts these two things into one sentence. Where he says something like, “these things were written down so you may know “that” Jesus is the savior, and by believing “in” him you may have faith in his name.”
Look, if you don’t want to go from belief that to belief in, you don’t have to. God’s not going to force you into Heaven against your will. So he respects your choice.

      Here is what prevents the Bubonic Plague from killing people, from Wikipedia;
(Bubonic plague outbreaks are controlled by pest control and modern sanitation techniques.)
In the years 1347 to 1351, 1/3rd of the population of Europe died to the Bubonic Plague.
Parents would have been praying to Jesus of Christianity to protect themselves and their family from harm and children would have prayed to Jesus of Christianity to protect their parents from harm. Did Jesus tell them how to prevent Bubonic Plague when they were praying on how to protect themselves from harm? 1/3rd of the population died. The reason we don't usually have Bubonic Plague around is because of the modern sanitation and pest control. Was that to much for Jesus to explain to the Christians in Europe?
Thomas Jefferson did not think that Christianity was true and put into the Declaration of Independence of the United States the words, "Laws of Nature and of Nature's God." What that means is to exclude the laws of the Supernatural Gods from the ancient world.
Where is Jesus of Christianity visible? In the same places that other Supernatural Superheroes are visible, in the stories written about them. like Superman, Spiderman, Thor, Luke Skywalker, etc.. All bring people joy. But are they true? The Jesus of Christianity Supernatural Superhero gives you life in a Supernatural living place. But like Superman and Superman stories, just because you get joy from the stories does not mean they are true.

Perhaps the most sensible video I've seen from you Frank because you showed some openness and some vulnerability - for example when you said the hiddenness objection was a good one. Apologists come across as overly confident and full of hubris by acting as if all objections to the faith are puerile, and easily addressed. While this may provide believers with confidence, I'll suggest when they leave their bubble to engage the world, they struggle because they do find the objections to the faith to be very reasonable, and often well argued.
By demonstrating vulnerability, you are giving your followers permission to discuss these problems with outsiders on a level playing field. I think it a far, far safer way to teach apologetics than by encouraging believers to be overly confident.

"Why hasn't GOD shown up more?"
He has, he does, and he will.
But in order to see GOD's work in the world and in our lives, one MUST have a Biblical Worldview, otherwise their eyes are obscured by the veil that hides GOD from us, which can only be lifted by those who turn to, and (with faith) trust in GOD and not in our own (often misguided and limited) understanding. (Micah 7:5-7; Psalms 37:3-5, & 56:3; Proverbs 3:5; Philippians 4:7)
GOD is outside of time we are confined to linear time, all that needs to be done, has been done, life (and by extension the universe/creation) is unfolding as it was meant to in accordance with the will of GOD, which is why we need not fear in what is to come, but instead truth in GOD.
“He who is of GOD hears GOD’s words; therefore, you do not hear, because you are not of GOD.” (1 John 4:5-6)
“They are of the world. Therefore, they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. We are of GOD. He who knows GOD hears us; he who is not of GOD does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.” (John 8:47)
“But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of GOD, should shine on them. For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus’ sake. For it is the GOD who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of GOD in the face of Jesus Christ.” (2 Corinthians 4:3-6)
“He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, lest they should see with their eyes, lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, so that I should heal them.” (John 12:40)
“To the pure all things are pure but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscious are defiled. They profess to know God but in works they deny him being abominable disobedient and disqualified for every good work.” (Titus 1:15-16)
“Nevertheless, when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.” (2 Corinthians 3:16)
"Jesus also told us, “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me.” (John 10:27-28)
Even the devil tried to temp Jesus to prove he was the son of GOD and that GOD exist, and Jesus responded in the way that we need to do to those who want (and demand) more proof than what there already is in all creation, "You shall NOT temp the Lord your GOD." (Matthew 4:7; Mark 1:12-13; Luke 4:12)
One who requires proof, often are placing themselves in the position of authority that belong only to GOD. GOD does NOT need to prove anything to us, his creation, but we do need to prove to him (for ourselves and own benefit) that we believe, trust, and therefore love him.
I have seen (in my own life and in the life of others, as well as throughout history and in nature) the miracles of GOD's involvement, they are all the proof I need to trust in, believe in, and love my GOD, which I could not have been able to do without the aid from the Holy Spirit, and the guidance of Jesus Christ by setting the example of us to follow.
One need only look up to the heavens, at the night sky, looking at all of the stars and accept the realization that as immense and endless space and the universe is, it reflects GOD, but only a fracture of his glory, so as awesome as GOD's creations are (including ourselves) they all still pale in comparison of the one that created it and us. Glory to GOD in the highest!
    Joshua 24:15
    John 8:32 & 14:6

I don't know why, but there was a strong conviction in my heart after hearing the preachers message, something was prompting me to change my ways. I decided to follow that conviction, and was led into the sinner's prayer and gave my life to Christ.
In my journey as a Christian I encountered manifestations of the gifts of the spirit as well as people that were demon possessed, etc, etc. This was all new to me, I thought that God didn't perform miracles any more, I thought the idea of "spiritual" were merely activities that took place in some invisible dimension that could never be seen by human eyes or manifested physically. I think an important thing to point out is the fact that you can conclude from common knowledge that you have an earthly Father.
    1. It takes a man and a woman to make another human.
    2. If you are a human, you were made by a man and a woman and thus have a Father and Mother.
You’ll never question whether you have an earthly Father. By looking at facts, you’ll come to the conclusion that you do have an earthly Father.
Its the same thing with God. Look at the facts and you’ll come to the conclusion that there is a God. The question then becomes which God has the most evidence for being the true God? We know that that is Jesus Christ.
Edit: Just watched the rest of the video and heard Frank say something similar. A great point to consider and ponder for sure! 😄

    1) God does not want us to be "nonchalant" in our relationship to him, which would be the case if EVERY PERSON could look at Him with their biological eyes. God does not want us to grovel before Him, like a puppy dog before its master, which would happen if we had no choice but to be enthralled with Him due to physically seeing Him. This is NOT part of His plan, since this would eliminate faith, which He wants us to live by, as we "diligently seek Him & His will, and it is His plan that "the JUST shall live by faith".
    2) Also, since God is not far from any of us, He wants us to diligently seek to know Him intimately, through study of His word i.e. Scripture. In Acts 17:27 it says "That they should seek the Lord, if perhaps they might (grope after him), / "feel after Him, though he is not far from every one of us";
    Very important issue.

I understand where he is coming from, I hope people aren't bashing him outright. It's doesn't sound like he hates the idea of God, he just has come to find it hard to believe. The question is what has led him there? If it's solely feeling, a personal tragedy, midlife crisis? The bible is a perfect evocation of what makes us human and why we need help. It describes terrible situations and horrible outcome. I think there is a book where you don't even hear anything about God at all in there.
But for a Christian who truly believes in the Word, yet still feel conflicted, there are two options at the end of the day: you either believe it and trust Him through it all, even the horrible times, or you reject it and live in hopelessness knowing you know it is true, but you refuse to accept Him as God because of how He does things.

this stems from a very bad "church" system who favours entertainment over true solid teachings. If he was a worship leader in a Pop/rock and roll "so called church" what can we expect? in a previous video he said he stopped believing because there is so much evil in the world. But a believer who has studied the Bible would know evil is to be expected, and it's gonna get worse. Those mega churches just create false converts/ weak believers who feed off entertainment and false spiritual experiences. But when they ask themselves important and basic questions they don't have the answers, and then fall away.
Put Paul Washer 3 weeks in a row in one of those mega churches and see how many of the "audience" will stay after the third time. Most will say "oh.. i thought being a christian means listening to loud music and bounce around in ecstasy". i'm out!!!" Also Jesus did the same: after feeding the 5000 thousands He gave them a hard teaching and they all left, because they were there just for the nice parables/stories and food (especially).

There are other former Christians who for years, even decades, who once believed they received God's guidance and experienced his presence to later conclude that it is more reasonable that it was their mind just manifesting what they wanted to believe at the time.

THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS FEELING GOD 😂. Thanks to God for The Bible so Christian Apologists can upload these videos. Brother Frank Turek and Cross Examined ministry always do good work in their efforts in the furtherance of The Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ you're reaching thousands to millions of people who are seeking after The Truth of God's Existence, Word and Character in our reality 🙏❤️👊. This has nothing and everything to do with the video but please listen if you want to otherwise leave it alone and ignore it. Hello my name is Justin and I'm a fellow Christian and Apologist but I'm also a college student. I'm not a closed minded Theist as I have nothing against Atheists or unbelievers as I speak to them often to understand their reasons for unbelief but we as Christians are convinced of God's Existence due to many real factors). I'm not trying to convert anyone or convince anyone to become Christians as that's The Holy Spirit's job to help people believe but only explain why I believe in Jesus Christ. There's actually evidence of God's Existence in Christianity. First of all there's proof that Jesus of Nazareth existed in history since the writings of Tacitus, Josephus Flavius, Pliny the younger and other historical documents prove that He was living two thousand years ago that even scholars both religious and Atheists agree with historically speaking but not that He's The Divine Son of God because obviously they don't.
I'm going to give you historical and archeological evidence for God's Existence as The Scriptures have prophecies that predate the events recorded in them by several millennia including Matthew, Hosea and Zechariah which prophesy accurately of the people of Israel becoming a nation again after over 1900 years of being scattered around the nations since the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in 70 A.D. spoken of by Christ in Matthew 23:29-24:3 and returning to their homeland after The Holocaust with Jerusalem as their capital in 1948 exactly as Jesus The Christ said. The prophets including Daniel spoke of the time where several world empires would arise and fall including the Babylonian kingdom, Medes and Persians, Roman Empire, and Saladin and the Muslims which went in consecutive order for the past few millennia. The people of Israel becoming a nation after The Holocaust in 1948 (ironically the melting point of gold as God compares Israel to gold that's tested in fire in Zechariah 13:8 and Jeremiah 16:15) exactly how Jesus The Christ said would happen since God us everything to come in The Scriptures and not just because people were working towards as Atheists claim which are impossible for any regular man to predict.
Just before anyone says Christianity is a white man's religion made to oppress blacks during slavery you obviously aren't aware that the first Christians were Jews in The Middle East and that Christianity just like any religion can be used by evil and corrupt people to oppress others but you forget that the first Abolitionists/Civil Rights activists were Christians who sought to abolish slavery, racism, segregation, injustice and prejudice throughout American history. Jesus The Christ loves you enough not to give you what we all deserve which is God's Wrath by His Own Blood. Charles Darwin didn't originally come up with The Theory of Evolution over 200 years ago as it is mentioned in the writings of Ancient Greeks who believed in Demons that gave knowledge to philosophers.
Evolution makes no sense when nothing has evolved after thousands of years of human history and supposedly the first creature came from primordial sludge several millions of years
ago funny how they won't believe that God an Eternal Almighty Spirit Being created us from the Earth) which came from a supermassive expansion of matter at high temperature that inexplicably created everything in the known universe that supposedly came from nothing billions of years ago. How did the organs evolve before there were bones, skin, substance and how did any creatures see before eyes evolved? I've studied evolution and abiogenesis in the past and read Darwin's " Origin of The Species" I've studied evolution and abiogenesis in the past and read Darwin's " Origin of The Species" and I'm not convinced of but not macro or micro Evolution because there's no evidence of it nor clear observable examples of it where living creatures evolve into other kinds of species plus the fact that fossils don't show evidence of evolution and genetic entropy rules out evolution. The question begs how did two genders evolve from a common ancestor with a perfectly hospitable and sustainable environment with breathable oxygen and resources to survive on inexplicably? Atheists have the burden of proof to explain how everything came to be and why our existence is possible without the Existence of God from an godless perspective just as Christians have to provide evidence of God's Existence and the validity of His Word.
Evolution requires life to already exist in order to take any effect in living organisms so it doesn't account for the existence of Life and reality. Also evolution is impossible because it goes against The Law of entropy and the second Law of thermodynamics because evolution makes things better whereas nothing continues to get better but decays and turns to absolute destruction in the end. Mark Ridley an Evolutionist said "No evolutionist whether gradualist or punctuationist uses the fossil record as evidence in favor of The Theory of Darwinian Evolution as opposed to special Creation". God's Existence is made perfectly known and observable in the universe as demonstrated in His Handiwork in the intelligently designed manner that Creation was made, human consciences and consciousness historical and archaeological evidence of God's Word being valid history, fulfillment of Bible Prophecies God in His Holiness and Righteousness could give us what we deserve in Hell for our since but He's merciful to give us free will to choose to accept or reject His gift of salvation by grace through faith in His Son Jesus. I don't mean this is any condescending manner but if you'd like to discuss The Scriptures with me or have me listen to your view on anything my instagram account is Savage Christian Kombatant.

If you want to know about God, seek him and keep seeking him.
An example would be having an entire life fast for 7 days and pray and seek his word and get close to him and do this for him and see what happens.
He has done amazing things for me with this, and it's changed my perspective.
A life fast is leaving all the pleasures of your life you can, not just food, but drink, music, internet, anything that you use for pleasure on Earth. Get rid of it for 7 days and do this for God with your entire being and see what happens.

  • @ayoogunlana9829

Faith is essential and God count it as righteousness because it is the hardest thing to have. Believing God is with you when you can't feel him around you is righteousness.
When you're still young in faith, God will give you many signs and miracles. Before you call him he will be there. You'll have more reasons to believe when your faith is new. But as you grow in the faith, God will become less visible to you. You will feel forgotten and neglected (it happened to Jesus too when His time came to die for the sins of the world - He prayed many times but didn't receive any response from God the Father).
This period of time in our life, is when God put us through darkness to test whether we believe what He has promised us in the light. The darkness will be strong and you will not feel God around.
When I was still young in the faith I had many gifts. I dream dreams, I could see future events in France and my prayers answered more quickly. And it wasn't because I was holy. It was just a free Gift. I even asked God casually in prayer one night to reveal himself to me and he did that same night. He came to me in a clear dream.
In that dream, I knew that it was night and there was neither moon nor sun that shined any light, however the night was brighter than the day.
The environment was so bright that if we compare the brightest white we have in this world to that brightness from my dream, it would be darker than the darkest black. Till this day I still can't comprehend that kind of brightness. It's a kind of brightness that you can't compare to anything in this world.
In that dream, my door and my windows were wide open and the brightness was approaching my door post and it was so scary because the brightness is the kind of brightness that would blind you however that brightness didn't hurt my eyes and I could see just fine, but it was still terrifying as it approached me because I didn't know what was causing the brightness. As the brightness continued to approach my door post it became even more brighter and I could finally see the tip of a white garment. It was the garment that was radiating the light that made the night even brighter than the day as we know it in our world. I was so afraid to see the face of who was wearing that white garment that I woke up from my sleep.
Immediately I woke up, the spirit of God said to my spirit. *You asked to see me, and now you have seen me*
That whole night I could no longer sleep because even though it appeared to me as a dream, I saw signs that suggest that it wasn't really a dream it was just made to look like a dream to me and that got me scared even more.
That experience sealed my faith in God and since I have no longer asked to see God ~ but rather to witness his power ~.
However, as I grew in faith. As my confidence grew that God truly exists all my gifts slowly fade away. Many fasting and prayers and they still are not back. Although, I still have prophetic dreams but it's not as often as before.
So, as I began to question God as to why the more I grew closer to him the more the evidence for him seems to disappear. The spirit of God has been ministering to me that, when you're still a baby in the faith, God will show you many things, give you many testimonies and miracles. However, these things are only to sustain you for when your faith will be trailed.
God will test you to see whether you'll only believe in him when you hear him and see him or whether you'll use the testimonies God gave you in the light to conquer the darkness that you're being made to face.
Brethren, even when it doesn't seem like God is around, always profess that he's with you because his word says he'll never leave you. This is the righteousness that God is looking for. How much you'll trust him even when it seems he doesn't ear or see you.
It happened to all of the prophets and apostles. It must happen to everyone of us too.
Just because I know this doesn't mean I'm not struggling with it. It is a massage that God wants you to hear.
I pray God give us all the strength to know Him enough. Amen!

Another response to this is that Jesus said He would not leave us like orphans, and that He would send a comforter. One of the benefits of becoming an hier of the Kingdom of God is that God (the holy spirit) dwells in us to comfort us, to guide us, to empower us, and sanctify us. God has not left us alone but has by sufficient means made a way for us to be close to Him at all times.

Generally speaking I've found over the years that we control how close we are to God's presence. He's always there waiting for us and wanting to be close to us but he's not going to force us to do that. Seek God and you will find him. I would say that there's more going on behind the scenes than he is letting on. Generally when people start saying this stuff it's because they want some sin in their lives (they want to be gay, not be committed to their spouse, have premarital sex, use drugs etc..).
