All people are good story tellers, even Dr. Susan George. We understand foresight of God is beyond measure, His knowledge limitless, His power infinite, a 1000 years for God not even as yesterday. Now when God has such infinite foresight, knowledge, etc, DID NOT GOD KNOW THE CREATION OF LUCIFER AND OTHER ARCHANGLES WOULD CREATE HIM PROBLEMS, then why did God create all these, if was so knowledgeable and later things beyond His control and competing with God. Or is it our God was ignorant. Or is it our God created Lucifer and other Archangel Michael, so that there is always tussle and we humans suffer. This Dr. Susan, I don’t know if she is trying tell God was ignorant to create all these Lucifer or Archangel Michel and all subsequent stories follow. How is it Dr. Susan, know, God did all these. I even understand, Bible was written almost a century after Jesus death and from where all these written records came. There is no picture of real Jesus image and the image we presume is all artist creation. Rest is left to people to imagine and create all stories they can. However the church and clergy has looted the people throughout, citing name of God and God doesn't require all these filthy money of ours.
Sunil Mathew has done well to touch upon a topic that is taboo to most established Christian churches. The idea of Christ is central fo the theme of sin and redemption from sin. The Old Testament is just a reminder that the Son of God would come down as Man and die on the cross for the redemption of sins of all humanity. The idea of shedding one’s blood is rooted in the Mediterranean concept of sacrifice of an animal ans having its blood shed- the animal, - goat- on shedding its blood- became a scapegoat. Christ was then the scapegoat for Humankind’s sins and his death on the cross is to remind us of the huge sacrifice done by Him for the forgiveness of our sins.

@@kkjoseph7369 sorry, I disagree. Man has been central to God’s creation and God made man in His (our image). Note the plurality- “our image” - indicating the trinity of Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Being good is not enough. Sin and redemption from sin gave us the hope for a life after this life on earth- which is central to the concept of Christianity. We need salvation if we are to cross the boundary of hell and move to a heaven He has made for us.

യാതൊന്നിന്റെയും പ്രതിമകൾ നിർമ്മിക്കുകയോ അവക്കു മുമ്പിൽ പ്രണമിക്കുകയൊ ആരാധിക്കുകയൊ ചെയ്യരുത് എന്നു കർശനമായി വിലക്കിയിരിക്കുന്ന രണ്ടാം പ്രമാണം ബഹു.Constantine ചക്രവർത്തിയുടെ കാലം മുതൽ വെട്ടിമാറ്റിയിട്ട് മോഹിക്കരുത് എന്ന പത്താം പ്രമാണം മുറിച്ചു രണ്ടാക്കിയിട്ട് പത്തുതികച്ചുകൊണ്ട്
ഈ തട്ടിപ്പ് ആരും അറിയാതിരിക്കാൻ ബൈബിൾ വായിക്കുന്നതും കയ്യിൽ കൊണ്ടു നടക്കുന്നതും വീട്ടിൽ സൂക്ഷിക്കുന്നതും നിരോധിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് മഹറോൻ എന്ന കഠിന ശിക്ഷ കൊണ്ടു മുദ്രയിട്ടിരുന്നത്.

ഞങ്ങളുടെ മാതാപിതാക്കന്മാർ ദൈവവചനം വായിക്കുവാനോ യേശുവേ സ്തോത്രം, ഹലേലുയ്യാ എന്നൊക്കെ ഇന്നത്തേതു പോലെ ഒന്നു പറയുവാനൊ അവസരം ലഭിക്കാതെ മരണ നേരത്തു പോലും രണ്ടാം പ്രമാണം ലംഘിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ചാവ ദോഷത്തിൽ മരണമടയുവാൻ ഇടയായത്. ഇന്നത്തെ കത്തോലിക്കാ ബൈബിൾ പണ്ഡിതന്മാർ അവരോട് എന്ത് ആശ്വാസം പറയും.

മുൻപു കാലത്ത് പ്രാർത്ഥന എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാൽ സ്വർഗ്ഗസ്ഥനായ പിതാവേ.... + നന്മ നിറഞ്ഞ ....... + പിതാവിനും പുത്രനും ..... മാത്രമായിരുന്നിടത്തു നിന്ന് ഇന്ന് പെന്തോകളെ കോപ്പിയടിച്ചിട്ടാണെങ്കിലുംപ്രാർത്ഥനയും ആരാധനയുടെ ഭാവങ്ങളുമൊക്കെ ഉണ്ടെങ്കിലും ആത്മാവിലും സത്യത്തിലും ഉള്ള ആരാധനയിലേക്കു പ്രവേശിക്കുവാൻ കഴിയാതെ തടസ്സമായി അ.പ്രവ: 2:38 നിൽക്കുന്നല്ലൊ കർത്താവേ ! ഞങ്ങൾ അവർക്കു വേണ്ടി പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുന്നു. മടുത്തു പോകാതെ ഫലം ലഭിക്കുവോളം പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കണമെന്ന് ലൂക്കൊ. 18:1-8 ൽ അങ്ങ് ഉപദേശിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടല്ലൊ കർത്താവേ . അങ്ങേക്കു ദയതോന്നി പ്രതിമകളാലും ദുരഭിമാനത്താലും ബന്ധിക്കപ്പെട്ടുകിടക്കുന്നവരുടെ ഹൃദയം തുറന്ന് പുറപ്പാടിനുളള ധൈര്യം പകരണമേയെന്നും പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുന്നു. അനുഗ്രഹിക്കേണമേ
സാത്താൻ എങ്ങനെ ഉണ്ടായി ? ഏദെനിൽ എങ്ങനെ എത്തി? ഇങ്ങനെ ദൈവം അതതു തരം കാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങളെയും അതതു തരം കന്നുകാലികളെയും അതതു തരം ഭൂചരജന്തുക്കളെയും ഉണ്ടാക്കി; നല്ലതു എന്നു ദൈവം കണ്ടു. യഹോവയായ ദൈവം ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ എല്ലാ കാട്ടുജന്തുക്കളെക്കാളും പാമ്പു കൌശലമേറിയതായിരുന്നു. അതു സ്ത്രീയോടു: തോട്ടത്തിലെ യാതൊരു വൃക്ഷത്തിന്റെ ഫലവും നിങ്ങൾ തിന്നരുതെന്നു ദൈവം വാസ്തവമായി കല്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.ഒരു പരിഭാഷയിൽ ഒരു പാമ്പു കൌശലമേറിയതായിരുന്നു അന്ന് കാണുന്നു . യഹോവയായ ദൈവം ഭൂമിയിലെ സകല മൃഗങ്ങളെയും ആകാശത്തിലെ എല്ലാ പറവകളെയും നിലത്തു നിന്നു നിർമ്മിച്ചിട്ടു മനുഷ്യൻ അവെക്കു എന്തു പേരിടുമെന്നു കാണ്മാൻ അവന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ വരുത്തി; സകല ജീവജന്തുക്കൾക്കും മനുഷ്യൻ ഇട്ടതു അവെക്കു പേരായി; ഏദെനിൽ വെച്ചു പേര് കിട്ടിയ സകല മൃഗങ്ങളും പുറത്തു

യഹോവയായ ദൈവം പാമ്പിനോടു കല്പിച്ചതു: നീ ഇതു ചെയ്കകൊണ്ടു എല്ലാ കന്നുകാലികളിലും എല്ലാ കാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങളിലുംവെച്ചു നീ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. അവരെ വഞ്ചിച്ച പിശാചിനെ മൃഗവും കള്ളപ്രവാചകനും കിടക്കുന്ന ഗന്ധകത്തീപ്പൊയ്കയിലേക്കു തള്ളിയിടും; അവർ എന്നെന്നേക്കും രാപ്പകൽ ദണ്ഡനം സഹിക്കേണ്ടിവരും

ആദിയിൽ ദൈവം മനുഷ്യനെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചത് ദൈവത്തെ പോലെ തന്നെയാണ്. ദൈവം തന്റെ തന്നെ പ്രതിരുപമുണ്ടാക്കി, അതിന്റ നാസാരന്ദ്രങ്ങളിലേക്ക് നിശ്വസിച്ചപ്പോൾ മുപ്പത്തിമുക്കോടി ദൈവങ്ങൾ ആദത്തിൽ വന്നു. എന്നാൽ സാത്താന്റെ അസൂയ മൂലം, ആദം ദൈവകൽപ്പന ലoഖിച്ചതിനാൽ ഈ മുപ്പത്തി മുക്കോടി ദൈവങ്ങളും വെറും മനുഷ്യരായി മാറി. ഈ മനുഷ്യരെ വീണ്ടും ദൈവങ്ങളാക്കാൻ വേണ്ടിയാണ് ദൈവം മനുഷ്യനായി ജനിച്ച് തന്റെ ശരീരവും രക്തവും മനുഷ്യർക്ക് നൽകി, യാഗമായി തീർന്നത്. ഇതാണ് ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഭയാനകമായ രഹസ്യ പദ്ധതി. മനുഷ്യരെ ദൈവത്തിൽ നിന്നകറ്റുന്ന കുടില ബുദ്ധിയായ സാത്താൻ ഇന്ന് ക്രിസ്തീയ സഭകളിലൂടെ പ്രവർത്തിച്ച് വിശ്വാസികളെ നശിപ്പിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
All the stories in the Old Testament are taken from the Sumerian Mythology and similar writings. The 613 or so Jewish Commandments which include our 10 Commandments have the origin in the Laws of Hamurabbi, the Babylonian King. The story of Noah has strong resemblance to The Epic of Gilgamesh, and many more examples can be given. The ancients did not consider these stories as History. For them these stories carried a meaning. If ancient scriptures are divinely inspired one can be assured that the meaning the words in them carry have deeper meaning than what humans can fathom. As a consequence being satisfied with superficial interpretations and skimming the surface is intellectual laziness. "It is noisier at the shallow end of the swimming pool".

Anyway, mythology is the vehicle that carried some form of truth which were essential for the existence/unification of a tribe or a group of people.
The ancient Jews were not monotheistic, they were henotheistic. When the Jews became a warring nation they started worshipping Yahweh, Exodus 15:3- " The Lord is a man of war; Yahweh is his name. ". At the same time they did not deny the existence of other deities. We must be careful who we call the creator. As far as I am concerned where there is no peace there are fallen angels. @@ptk8451 I like your enthusiasm to defend the faith. I appreciate that. At the same time we cannot escape history. Jews were under Babylonian captivity for around 70 years. When our children return from America or Dubai in about 5 years time we can see a lot of changes in their outlook and views. In the case of the Jews we are talking 70 years, where all the men above 20 were killed and the rest forced to serve Babylon. So saying the resemblance is only superficial is a bit too simplistic. But thanks to the the Jewish women the culture was maintained. But the laws and governance were highly influenced by the Laws of King Hammurabi of Babylon. Even the Jews accept this.

Adam and Eve:- Adam and Eve represent human history of thousands of years. The history of creation(God's days)is summarized as God's works of a week-days. Here, this description is, about the brain development of primitive human beings. It was a long process and it still continues. Words or knowledge was with God. Words came to the world through prophets. God himself came to the world with words. He is Jesus Christ ! Christ is words!

Beauty based discrimination was the first discrimination that paved the way for all up-gradation and de-gradation and all inequalities in human society, that itself was "The First Sin"(the fruit of good and evil). According to Biblical interpretation human sentiments are described as two behaviours viz fear and shyness. According to Hindu ethics these behaviours are described as seven vigours. These vigours are depicted through Shiva & Parvati characters. The ascetic stage of Shiva(the heavenly human beings Genesis 6th 2)of Shiva reveals the primitive human beings who hadn't attained brain development.
