Prior to 2022 Russia was colonized by the West, or more precisely by the globalists, not as bad as in the 90s, but still in a chokehold, the sanctions have freed Russia up, economically in a major way, it's the best gift the West could have given to Russia.

Not that many people even inside of Russia realize, that their "services" game is really big, probably one of the best in the world. You can order literally anything, there are malls that would pack and deliver your order to the front door, the cafes, bars, restaurants are top notch service, transport is cheap and very comfortable, the metro, bus, trolleys all with cashless transactions, speaking of cashless, it's kinda hilarious but it seems like you can almost buy sunflower seeds from babushka via bank transaction. And speaking of *Gosuslugi* - public services, it's probably one of its kind.
About "government services." This is an application on your phone or pc. It combines a lot of things, from making doctor's appointments, to paying for everything in the world and drawing up all sorts of papers. All the data of your personal documents are recorded there, so you can do something in a couple of clicks, which would usually take weeks of traveling to various government agencies. For example, I just the other day formalized self-employment for 2 clicks of buttons, not even 1 minute after I became self-employed. You can even vote through this application and make various applications, for example, for a passport. And also this application collects all fines and debts in one pile, shows the total debt and you can immediately pay it all and the money will go where you need. Even any court orders or cases, everything is notified there, etc. In general, a very convenient application, all in one, fast and convenient.

In Russia, the service sector and the quality of restaurants have long been ahead of Europe and the USA. If you don't believe me, come as a tourist, go to any restaurant and you'll be surprised. I went as a tourist to the USA and to European countries, and here's the thing - the food and restaurants there are complete crap compared to Russian ones. And yes, McDonald's is terrible, we have a bunch of our own local brands of the same format, which make tastier and better quality than McDonald's or Burger King, оr any crap from the USA
So the price. 350-600 roubles per burger. Anyway it's cheaper than US or Europe, but higher than McD. But i agree, it will taste much better. I can recommend restaraunt called 'The Byk' (the bull). 350 per burger and they are quite nicer than many others with higher price. Or visit 'burger heroes' place.
I am american, so I am not surprised that the food and service is better than america, but when I went to spain the food and service was excellent and cheap. You could get first class food for the price of what we pay for fast food in america. So not all of europe is bad

No matter what this world think of them and the whole bad wether thing, people there loves there love , they got ability to find the beauty of this world . Сказать как в действительности работают санкции? В 2019 году купили автомобиль за 1.7кк₽ В 2023 году я купил этот автомобиль за 1.7кк₽ с 80.000км пробега. Все стало дороже, но любой бренд можно найти. Санкции стали большим толчком к развитию внутреннего производства во всех отраслях. Так что в какой-то мере санкции вредят, но так же можно сказать спасибо за них.

Даже собачье мясо доставляют, закупаюсь раз в два месяца собакам и тоже везут прям к дому. Вывод: у нас лучше чем в Америке)))

Honestly I only stayed in the center of Moscow which is one of the best areas of the whole country and life seemed pretty amazing. Outside of that circle, I wouldn't be able to give my opinion on how things are.

Живу в среднем городе и у нас есть всё тоже самое, а рестораны и еда лучше чем в Москве, дома которые строятся на соседних улицах становятся всё больше, квартиры современее , школы и детские площадки всё улучшается. Если бы нас постоянно не тормозили войнами, санкциями и делились научными разработками на том же уровне что и со всеми, мы бы жили лучше всех, а так это огромные траты, но мы всё равно с каждым днём прогрессируем полагаясь на свои силы.
Зарплату получают после вычета всех страховок и налогов,кроме личного кредита. Плата за коммунальные услуги:отопление,воду (холодная горячая),электроэнергия,газ,уборка подъездов, территорий, вывоз мусора,интернет итд. примерно составляют 10% зарплаты. Транспорт метро,автобусы,такси каждый может позволит себе без ущерба. Также налог на дом,личный транспорт состаляют 0.5-5% зарплаты в год. Продукты и товары дорогие ,но сравнении западом все равно два три раза дешевле.

Cheap-ish, I'd say, but you can order some healthier food at the same price x) Fries had an amazing taste back in 2008+, but for the last ten years or so it was meh. When they rebranded to Vkusno i tochka, the taste returned to the original goodness. A bit jealous you have had this all along! Also, I wish you'd tried Big Special. From what I heard, it's Russian exclusive, and it is godly. Shimp roll is a nice thing as well :3

Just got back from Moscow, saw the rebranded Mcdonalds, super busy, I bet McDonalds sorry they pulled out. anyway, taste test; coca - cola - identical, cheeseburger / big mac or whatever they call it , much better than American. more natural. The only thing a bit different were the fries. The fries were larger, maybe better quality, I tend to like the american McDonald's fries regardless. But overall, the quality of food is Much better in Russia. You can see walking everywhere in russia there are not too many obese people, whereas in the US , there are a tremendous amount of obese people

dobry cola is the same original cola bcause manufacturer hasn't change at all. in Russia coca cola has been produced by Multon company, which is owned by Coca-Cola Company. After the company left from Russia the local manufacturer continued to produce exactly the same cola, just under its own brand.

А мне КФС понравился в Китае (у них классные бургеры) и Таиланде (у них супер курица, целое бедро!). У нас в россии бургеры в КФС слабоваты, и бедра нет, только ножки и прочее (но по вкусу все в целом одинаково, я пробовал в странах 7, есть местные калоритные отличия, типа того же риса в Индонезии и Таиланде в КФС или выбора кучи соусов в России и Казахстане, Узбекистане и Кыргистане). Для меня традиция - пробовать КФС в каждой стране, где я был)) And I liked the KFS in China (they have great burgers) and Thailand (they have super chicken, a whole thigh!). In Russia, burgers in the KFS are weak, and there are no hips, only legs and so on (but everything tastes the same, I tried it in 7-9 countries, there are local colorful differences, such as the same rice in Indonesia and Thailand in the KFS or the choice of a bunch of sauces in Russia and Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan). It's a tradition for me to try the KFS in every country I've been to))

Did you show the McDonalds Russia prices? I assume they were similar to cheap areas of the US (non liberal-dominated, high tax areas).
Now we almost have only Chinese new cars - mostly Great Wall, Chery, Geely and Changan companies' brands - western companies leaved Russia, some Chinese brands as Zeekr and BYD also afraid of secondary Western sanctions and didn't came here officialy or even fomally prohibited celling their cars in Russia.

McDonald’s likely pulled out of Russia because given sanctions there was no way for them to get money out of the country. The Russian McDonald were corporate owned and run which isn’t usually the case, so they had to sell them to keep operating. Bk didn’t pull out because those are franchises.

не правда. во всех городах России цены на блюда из вкусно и точки абсолютно одинаковые. Я была в Москве, Санкт Петербурге, Пятигорске, Сочи, в Самаре, во многих деревнях, и там цены не отличаются. а если вы говорите про продукты, то разница в цене не особо большая, допустим в Москве молоко стоит 140 руб, а в Самаре 100 руб (конечно смотря какое молоко)

Sanctions played a big part in this, give it 20 more years and Russia will surpass Western Europe in every way. Prior to 2022 Russia was colonized by the West, or more precisely by the globalists, not as bad as in the 90s, but still in a chokehold, the sanctions have freed Russia up, economically in a major way, it's the best gift the West could have given to Russia.

My son (10 at that time) said it tasted much better than American McD. And we got a free wifi there and were able to talk to his dad/my husband in the US. Fun times. Love Russia!

Not that many people even inside of Russia realize, that their "services" game is really big, probably one of the best in the world. You can order literally anything, there are malls that would pack and deliver your order to the front door, the cafes, bars, restaurants are top notch service, transport is cheap and very comfortable, the metro, bus, trolleys all with cashless transactions, speaking of cashless, it's kinda hilarious but it seems like you can almost buy sunflower seeds from babushka via bank transaction. And speaking of *Gosuslugi* - public services, it's probably one of its kind.
About "government services." This is an application on your phone or pc. It combines a lot of things, from making doctor's appointments, to paying for everything in the world and drawing up all sorts of papers. All the data of your personal documents are recorded there, so you can do something in a couple of clicks, which would usually take weeks of traveling to various government agencies. For example, I just the other day formalized self-employment for 2 clicks of buttons, not even 1 minute after I became self-employed. You can even vote through this application and make various applications, for example, for a passport. And also this application collects all fines and debts in one pile, shows the total debt and you can immediately pay it all and the money will go where you need. Even any court orders or cases, everything is notified there, etc. In general, a very convenient application, all in one, fast and convenient.

In Russia, the service sector and the quality of restaurants have long been ahead of Europe and the USA. If you don't believe me, come as a tourist, go to any restaurant and you'll be surprised. I went as a tourist to the USA and to European countries, and here's the thing - the food and restaurants there are complete crap compared to Russian ones. And yes, McDonald's is terrible, we have a bunch of our own local brands of the same format, which make tastier and better quality than McDonald's or Burger King, оr any crap from the USA
So the price. 350-600 roubles per burger. Anyway it's cheaper than US or Europe, but higher than McD.

Все стало дороже, но любой бренд можно найти. Санкции стали большим толчком к развитию внутреннего производства во всех отраслях.
Так что в какой-то мере санкции вредят, но так же можно сказать спасибо за них.

Интересно,а сильно шокирует Америку,что у меня в деревне доставка суши и пиццы есть?А ещё мне лень ходить в магазин,поэтому мне с маркетплейсов домой привозят вещи,а так же через интернет заказываю продукты,мне в магазине собирают пакет и я просто заезжаю за ним и не нужно долго ходить и выбирать продукты.

Мне дальше калитки и передвигаться не надо, таскаться в какие-то гипермаркеты затариваться- ну на фиг, мне мое время дорого, домой все привезут. Даже собачье мясо доставляют, закупаюсь раз в два месяца собакам и тоже везут прям к дому. Вывод: у нас лучше чем в Америке)))

Honestly I only stayed in the center of Moscow which is one of the best areas of the whole country and life seemed pretty amazing. Outside of that circle, I wouldn't be able to give my opinion on how things are.
Things have only improved.
Я среднестатистическая россиянка и могу сказать что у нас всё хорошо и с каждым днём становится только лучше. Живу в среднем городе и у нас есть всё тоже самое, а рестораны и еда лучше чем в Москве, дома которые строятся на соседних улицах становятся всё больше, квартиры современее , школы и детские площадки всё улучшается. Если бы нас постоянно не тормозили войнами, санкциями и делились научными разработками на том же уровне что и со всеми, мы бы жили лучше всех, а так это огромные траты, но мы всё равно с каждым днём прогрессируем полагаясь на свои силы.

Транспорт метро,автобусы,такси каждый может позволит себе без ущерба. Также налог на дом,личный транспорт состаляют 0.5-5% зарплаты в год. Продукты и товары дорогие ,но сравнении западом все равно два три раза дешевле.

Fries had an amazing taste back in 2008+, but for the last ten years or so it was meh. When they rebranded to Vkusno i tochka, the taste returned to the original goodness. A bit jealous you have had this all along!

Just got back from Moscow, saw the rebranded Mcdonalds, super busy, I bet McDonalds sorry they pulled out.
anyway, taste test; coca - cola - identical, cheeseburger / big mac or whatever they call it , much better than American. more natural. The only thing a bit different were the fries. The fries were larger, maybe better quality, I tend to like the american McDonald's fries regardless. But overall, the quality of food is Much better in Russia. You can see walking everywhere in russia there are not too many obese people, whereas in the US , there are a tremendous amount of obese people

А мне КФС понравился в Китае (у них классные бургеры) и Таиланде (у них супер курица, целое бедро!). У нас в россии бургеры в КФС слабоваты, и бедра нет, только ножки и прочее (но по вкусу все в целом одинаково, я пробовал в странах 7, есть местные калоритные отличия, типа того же риса в Индонезии и Таиланде в КФС или выбора кучи соусов в России и Казахстане, Узбекистане и Кыргистане). Для меня традиция - пробовать КФС в каждой стране, где я был))
And I liked the KFS in China (they have great burgers) and Thailand (they have super chicken, a whole thigh!). In Russia, burgers in the KFS are weak, and there are no hips, only legs and so on (but everything tastes the same, I tried it in 7-9 countries, there are local colorful differences, such as the same rice in Indonesia and Thailand in the KFS or the choice of a bunch of sauces in Russia and Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan). It's a tradition for me to try the KFS in every country I've been to))

Did you show the McDonalds Russia prices? I assume they were similar to cheap areas of the US (non liberal-dominated, high tax areas).

Now we almost have only Chinese new cars - mostly Great Wall, Chery, Geely and Changan companies' brands - western companies leaved Russia, some Chinese brands as Zeekr and BYD also afraid of secondary Western sanctions and didn't came here officialy or even fomally prohibited celling their cars in Russia.

McDonald’s likely pulled out of Russia because given sanctions there was no way for them to get money out of the country. The Russian McDonald were corporate owned and run which isn’t usually the case, so they had to sell them to keep operating. Bk didn’t pull out because those are franchises.

Я была в Москве, Санкт Петербурге, Пятигорске, Сочи, в Самаре, во многих деревнях, и там цены не отличаются. а если вы говорите про продукты, то разница в цене не особо большая, допустим в Москве молоко стоит 140 руб, а в Самаре 100 руб (конечно смотря какое молоко)
