    I’m a locksmith for 20 years and it was good to me to see you pick that cylinder open. I have to say , 150 bucks is crazy high to make a key to that lock. We do that job for like 40 bucks if you already have the lock off. Well done you did good. Thanks for sharing

    • @NoNonsenseKnowHow
      @NoNonsenseKnowHow  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +101

      Yeah seems a little steep to me as well. I would have been happy to pay 50 bucks. But glad I ended up doing it instead. Didn't take very much time at all. Appreciate you tuning in. Thanks

      Just swap those locks for solenoids. Then it can be pushing a hidden button to withdraw the bolt.

    You might look into going with a T-5 trans instead of the Toploader. It's a great trans, but, unless you really get a find, it's spendy. Then, you can put some lower gears and a locking diff in. Even if you rebuild the 289 heads with the 2 BBL and a dual exhaust, it'll seem as fast as your later GT. Looking forward to seeing more of all the Mustangs!

    Hey Chris, I just thought I would tell you about what I do when draining fluids from a car. I went to Walmart and bought a couple of those cheap 47" round kiddie pools..they make the BEST drain pans. They fit under most cars sitting in the ground and they cover 90% of the front of the car. Never get anything on the floor again. Best part is they are usually cheaper then a regular drain pan 1/5 the size. I paid $5 each at he end of summer. Also, good to see you aren't relying on the winch cable to hold the car. A safety chain or safety strap is a must...I have seen flatbeds lose cars when the cable snaps.

    That was classic NNKH. Loved it, especially the motor teardown. I’d leave the stock heads on it for now. Seems quite easy to work on. Maybe you can score some oem valves for the stock heads. If anything needs a turbo it’s the roll back.

    I'm a big fan of leaving old classics like this mostly stock. Just rebuild the engine and put a 4 speed in it and call it good.

    It’s funny how I get distracted from what the video is about every time Gus comes out to play. 😂 That was hilarious when he was “retrieving” the tennis ball, he’s a smart dog for sure. Seriously though I Love the content on this channel, keep up the good work and enthusiasm.

    NO NOT THE LADIES! LOL
    on the truck: 15mpg is great. So what if you lose a few minutes when you're towing up hill, you've got no modern diesel BS, dependability and MPG.
    On the Mustang: Try to fix the original heads. All original is a kind of cool you can't match. I'd even keep the 3 speed, but I understand the benefit of the 4 for cruising.
    Also I'd put some of the amazon brand sound mat in the sleeper, great for the price and will help a lot!

      “BRAIN CELLS….
      WHO NEEDS THEM?!”
      😮
      Tony & his crew seem super cool and efficient👍🏾
      And .. Peterson could past for your clean shaven twin brother 👀… lol
      As a jazz composer…. I’ll come out of my home studio 50 miles n/e of Chicago to take a break and treat myself to your videos…..
      You’re like a dam neurosurgeon with those cars!!!!… lol
      Somehow….. restoring, and upgrading tangible objects is ….. similar to writing and rewriting pieces of music….
      I could skimp on a tune that sounds ok…… or I can tear the bridge or chorus or verse down and give it the quality makeover it deserves…….
      true…. most won’t know what under that musical “hood”….. but…. Harmonically and aesthetically….. it works 10 times better……!!
      Anyway, as a little side note:
      If I’m not mistaken;
      Lee Iacocca drew the first plans for the Ford Mustang back in 64 when working for Ole Henry Ford…..
      I believe Ford fired him … and rehired him…… ??
      ( don’t quote me..👀 )
      he went on to become President of the company!
      Anyway
      Thanks for the inspiration..
      Hug Gus and Jen for us all…… and…..
      DONT FORGET TO GET SOME GOOD SLEEP….
      it’s very important…..
      Have a great spring brother 🌱

And you chose the best mustang metal man in the business .I purchased a mustang that he did the metal work on, it was amazing looked factory !

    Keep it original buddy. Love your channel.
    I had two different cougars, 1967 vintage when I was 16 and 19. 302 motors. But my friend had two mustangs that both had 289’s. I absolutely love the sound of those motors. I’m 54 now, so you know.
