Servo Diagnostic and Repair on CAMaster CNC

CAMaster Cobra Servo Diagnostic and Repair.
The CNC machine was purchased from a person in the Northeastern US and loaded on an open trailer and driven back to Kansas City with a stop overnight. Of course it rained and even though wrapped up in plastic, tarps and everything else it got wet or damp from the down pour. A box trailer would have been better but I already owned the trailer. (Nov-Dec of 2015)
The top surface was MDF and was planned on being replaced, it was already a little warped and the rain didn't do it any help. However it was getting replaced and a spoil board added. The machine did not have a vacuum system or grid, so I added that once up and running.
The machine was new and never powered up from the previous owner, but a couple years old in a storage facility. This is what was found when checking one of the motors.
This video was uploaded in Jan, 2016. As of April 2024 (8-years) all is still working good and the motor has not had any issues or needed any attention.

Just got the trip yesterday and ran across this video searching for clues. Like yours, mine was stored for 5 years in an RV storage garage, but has worked fine for last 4 years - hoping it's this issue!
Thanks for posting this - I'll clean it up with some 99% Isopropyl alcohol and see what happens.

Dirt not moisture..may have bearing going bad

Yes, but they had moisture on the encoders, it was both. This was cleaned and put back together at least 7-8 years ago and it has never had an issue so the repair seems to have worked.

Error codes, at least you get an error. You will need to contact your machine manufacture or go to their website to see if you can get an error code list to see what it might be.
