Y'know, once I'd got the Scud Race and Daytona bonus stages unlocked I never bothered playing through the harder mission mode stuff. I only found out about this 30 stage mode the other day. Looks insane, 30 mins+ of Outrun gameplay. I'm going to have to give this a try.

I think they done this for a reason. I did expect 'Alpine (Reverse), Deep Lake (Reverse), Palm Beach (Reverse), Palm Beach, Deep Lake, Alpine, etc' as you stated.

I remember playing this when I was a child
As an original Outrun player this is the only other version worth playing, not much skill is required which makes it playable for everybody.

I use HD-TV. However I recorded to a S-VHS at the time.

This is Outrun 2 (2003 version) before the Coast 2 Coast.
Which one is better in your opinion? Been wanting to add another Outrun game to my MAME arcade cabinet
I like the Coast to Coast better because you can do slipstream, have more areas and challenges.

That is how the 30 stages works. The stage starts reverse route and then normal forward route.
