    Even in the Summer this stretch of 80 is no joke. You've got big rigs crawling up the grades and steep descents and a few curves here and there. You've got to be 100% focused on the road. Driving it in the Winter is next-level stuff.

      I avoid that highway because of the cally nutcase drivers the overloaded road and the lack of highway patrol to keep the lawless drivers…..

    Drought and fires followed by rain and blizzards. Never a dull moment in California.

    My great-grandmother’s second cousin, Virginia Backenstoe Reed, stepdaughter of James Fraser Reed, was a member of the Donner Party!

      @@matthewpettengill3008No - if you read the history of the Donner Party, none of the Reed family or the Breen family resorted to cannibalism.

    What did the highway patrolman say?
    They should have never let those semi trucks through.
    How fast were you going? It seems like you were flying.

    i have driven over this hill many a time in great summer weather all the way to blizzards.
    so many do not respect this pass as parts are very bad in the cold weather. i forms on the rd even in the summer.
    but i find it disgusting the state waits till many are trapped in the snow before shutting down the pass.

    This is not a blizzard, no way. There is hardly any snow, if any, falling and there is very little wind.

    There needs to be more of your kind out there! Not just stearing wheel holders that always wait out the storm.

  • @kenwood9401
    @kenwood9401 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    wow if the roads are that id be waiting until the storm was over my life is more inportant then that load some drivers think that if they say no to dispatch they will get fired well take a pic and send it to them and say my life is inportant then the load that when u gewt there u have to wait to unload

    Need to chain up, slow your roll, and keep on trucking as long as visibility is good. With white original chain racks it can be easy to chain up in 15 to 20 minutes.

    • @larryjanson4011
      @larryjanson4011 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      i was able to do a full chain up in 20 minutes. from setting my brakes to releasing them.
      and they were all tight.
      40 years on the rd, you learn how to do thing the right way and fast.
