Here our beloved teachers go again. Watching your video is a way of getting a life because it is funny as well. What a pity for the dislikers. It is a bit much, but who's counting? I'll be all set for the next video of this series that I like so much. You have a propensity for knocking 'em dead as always. There are lots of colloquial words in English, break a leg!
Your videos are really very helpful, thank you so much! And the real life examples help to understand the context where one can use these phrases a lot! Just great, I really love it!
Wow! I LOVE these videos!! I'm a new English teacher, and was looking for inspiration. Now I know I can never produce anything as great, as explanatory, as fun and interesting as these videos. What a great couple!

Hi Vicki Hi Jay wishes you all the best in 2021 You're amazing teachers. This year I will continue to learn from you. Thank you so much for 2020. Take care
It's been a pleasure to see you both in bright temper , full of positive emotions and humour. Happy New Year , dear friends. Greetings from Moscow Russia. 🇬🇧🇺🇸🇷🇺
Oh wow! It sounds like you've had a tough school year Mr Crabz. Of course a lot of people have because of the pandemic. Hope it hasn't been too bad for you.
Yes, yes l liked it ! And you are totally right if we are spending more time nowadays on TH-cam at least to do it smart and stay tuned to your videos 😉
Where I live, (American English), we use "it's a bit much" as well, but with a slightly different meaning. It wouldn't make much sense to use it in the scenario shown in the video, but we'd use it with a more literal sense: to say that someone went a little too far with something. It's always a joy watching your videos, because I usually learn something new even though English is my native language :)
Hello and Happy New Year (even it's quite late, but still), It was a very nice video! I have a question in British English: What's the difference between "Crush" and "Crash" (I know they can be nouns too)? "Bust and "Busted"? I'll be very thankful if you'll answer about it. Thanks!
Hi Michael. Happy new year to you too. This is Vicki. Is this a question about meaning rather than pronunciation? I just want to check because of course the vowel sounds are different in crush and crash. The meanings of this verb will work in British and American English. When a car crashes, it hits something else and there's an accident. But when cars reach they end of their useful life we might crush them, press hard on them so they take up less space. Bust is an informal way to say break, for example, 'Come out or I'll bust the door down.' Now in the past tense we might say 'They bust the door down' but more informally we'd say 'They busted the door down'. So both forms are possible for the past and past participle. You're more likely to hear busted in American English - American verbs are often more regular than British ones.
Giving real life examples is such a good way to teach! Although in my school books there are often many words and phrases to learn, there aren't many examples of situations when I can use them. So thank you very much for your videos, they're really helpful❤️
Not sure if I got this right, but does Jay pronounce "presentation" (at around 5:00) /ˌpriːz(ə)nˈteɪʃ(ə)n/ instead of /ˌprez(ə)nˈteɪʃ(ə)n/? Is that a regional variant? If so, which one, please? Anyway, thank you so much for your helpful videos! :)
Hi Marius. Thanks for pointing that out. This is Jay writing back to you. I hadn't thought about this before because 'pri' and 'pre' are both acceptable to me, though I tend to say 'pri' most often. And you might be correct in that my New York background could influence it. Vick, however, never uses 'pri'. So 'pre' is definitely British. Thanks for your excellent observation and thanks for watching.

Happy new year! Wish you all the best! In Ukraine we say "no feathers, no scales" wich comes from a wish to a hunter or a fisher that he should not succeed in his job. This wish is intended to trick evil spirits. And when you are wished like this you should answer "go to demons" (it is kinda softer version of "sc..w you") then you'll definitely have a good luck 😄
