Awesome! In the first minute and 21 seconds I learned exactly what I needed to know. I put a new Coilover set on the car, and noticed the Toe was BAAAAD. Brought it home, set the ride height, and noticed I needed shorter rods when I put new Tie Rod Ends on and started trying to get the alignment at least somewhat derivable to the shop to have it done right. Now I'm ordering shorter tie rods... #coiloverproblems Thanks for the video!
I just ordered K-Tuned tie rods w/ spherical tie ends for the EP3/DC5/EM2 and SHG Motor Works - steering rack bushing for the EP3/DC5/EM2. I'm about to install the bushing with the steering rack in the car. I came to your video to see how hard it was to remove the inner tie rods from the rack. I guess it was too X-rated for youtube…. Great, I can't wait.
The tie rods are to correct bump steer during hard corning. Yes it does help with toe, but the extreme angle that the tie rods are positioned on a lowered car cause bump steer.
How are thoese k tuned tie rods holding up I have an 03 tax type s on tein flex z coils and put these k tuned tie rods since car is lower but drive about 20,000 kms or just over and they are allready mess up need another pair
Im.in the same boat now.... question is.. what size socket are them inner tie rod?? And I'm thinking best bet is to use open ended wrenches.. but what size is it..
I got a dumb question about actually adjusting these inner tie rods. Do they still work like regular tie rods where you spin the whole bar to adjust. Or to rephrase, once things are nearly tightened up, and the outer tie rod is bolted to the strut. What do you spin to adjust toe? The longer bar, or the shorter bar (that connects to the outer tie rod)?
The outer tie rod kit from Ktuned gives you even more adjustment paired with the inner kit. And the heim joints are covered by a real tight rubber boot. Pretty expensive (400CAD) but well worth it. Nice video!
i got the hard race inverted tie rods an SHG slider on the way my ep3 is on lowering springs in the future i will get coilovers i dont know what tie rods to get either stock replacement or ktuned Pros an cons thanks
im glad I found this vid. When I picked up my rsx in april, the car is slammed, and the dealer I got it from couldn't get the alignment perfect. and they even switched tie rods, cant remember if they changed inner or outer, and the car still goes right a little. Im guessing if I get those k-tuned inners, i can get it properly aligned
Hey brother I’m going crazy! I’m trying to remove the inner rods I have the Ktuned like you inner and outers I can’t seemed to remove the inner rods what tools you use what do you recommend I also notice the inners are shorter than oem
I've heard you can remove the inners from under the car after you remove the lower bar that sits right in front of the steering rack. And they are shorter because they are adjustable and threaded all the way in.
Seth Lee lol I’ve only notice off the bat cause I’ve never heard an Asian with a southern accent. So for me very noticeable lol. Also with your bags does it cause any camber wear issue?

Hey what alignment specs are you running?
What would I need? I maxed my coils out in front and still leans to the right after allignment and wheel balancing, so just the tie rods?
Question my inner tied rods keep failing this is the third time that it gets loose and mechanic says it needs to be changed
The neighbor decided to come out and start cutting wood. 🤣

Yo I have the same question, I see this comment is from a while ago did you figure it out?
Any updates on how they're doing?
What do tie rods actually do?
Hey Seth, i had a question. Why do you use the EP3 power steering for the RSX?
yayo mayne to get rid of the power steering pump to clean up the engine bay.
Seth Lee go electric
Sam Han I already am 😉
Seth Lee nice👌🏼
Did u do a a/c delete aswell?

I know this is late but the same thing happened to me. They're outta ktuned rods so I may have to cut mine and rethread them
Nice video I would have like to see the actual installation though dude. Nice whip.🤩
Bro how do you keep those k tuned jam nuts to stay tight?
is there a link to the tie rods ?
What is the torque spec?thanks
You didn’t use a tie rod tool did you?
what did you use to take off the inner tie rod
I used a large crescent wrench or if you have the right size, an open ended wrench.

You can definitely get it dialed in with these.
hey seth, did you ever remember what brand your outter tie rods were?
I'm pretty sure they're TR1 outer tie rods.
@@SleezyGarage is there a difference between the t1r inverted rod ends and the spherical ktuned ones they offer?
Ktuned ftw
Could you use oem outer tie rods with ktuned inners?
Yes! The thread pitch on the ktuned inners are the same as the OEM ones.
Seth Lee thanks! I already have these but my outers came lose on me and lost the castle nut so I just got oem ones to replace them lol

hey seth! quick question, if needed, could the ktuned inner tie rods be adjusted to be the same length as the oem?
I have never heard an Asian with a southern accent til I ran into your channel lol. Hella weird brah hehe.
Sam Han is it really that bad? Never noticed lol
