There used to be a mod called Herobrine Dreams which, every time you slept, would take you to a strange dream building with Herobrine in it. It was an odd one

Part of why Herobrine was so effective back then was because of old Minecraft’s strange world generation and performance saving, all enveloping fog. Fog like that doesn’t really exist anymore.
The choice to use an Earthbound soundtrack for your first encounter with Herobrine, around 5:00 (ish) was an excellent choice. I was smiling through the entire encounter. In fact, it earned a comment and subscriber from this guy. Keep it up, dude!
