I live in Northern European country, Finland, where being atheist is not a taboo. In fact, it's expected to the point that most people here don't even know what the word "atheist" means - because you're never gonna need it since you're just "normal" if you're not a believer. Hey Seth. I don't know if you take suggestions from youtube, but I thought it might be interesting to have a show about people who deconvert late in life and how they differ from young people who lose their faith or never had it. We might learn something that we can apply. Love ya. Take care.

Humanism and humanistic thinking can operate both inside and outside of religions. I've seen Unitarian Universalism and modern Neo-Paganism/Wicca as being far more humanistic than what I've been brought up with. My description of humanism would be the idea that it is not our job on earth to be someone else's punching bag, even if that someone else is God.
12:30. I'm ok with someone wanting to identify as both a Christian and an Humanist. It's silly, sure, but so what. As long as they agree that only humanism can be used in public debate, than whatever. Moreover, not insisting on such humanist gatekeeping from the outset will probably lead more Christians being able to migrate away from Christianity over time.
