I've done that since Magikey dropped and it's freaking amazing. The support is nothing but icing on the cake.

I bought the cards IRL before the support hit MD and I’ve only played Magikey on MD so far. They need to hurry up and release the Rank 8 Xyz in TCG and some other support 🥲

Pairing Yang Zing monsters with swordsoul is also another fun way of playing swordsoul

Proof that Swordsoul is broken as long as you have 10 wyrms in the deck.
I agree, every sword soul is an instant powerful Synchor monster. If they were locked into wyrm type monster for the turn when they summon the token or the token cano my be used to summon wyrm token monster it would be so much more fair but no you can make any generic OP Synchor monster with ease
Has anyone tried swordsoul yang zing?
@@Ragnarok540 I’ve seen few but far in between. Mostly swordsoul tenyi with one or 2 zang zing Synchor monster to help with removal

The first time I built SS Tenyi in master duel I looked up “Swordsoul” and put all of them in and then looked up Tenyi and put all of them. Then I tried to see what other people did and it really was that simple

I don't know what konami was thinking when they made magikeys .. using the brickiest summoning mechanics, and on top of it forcing you to play vanilla bricks as well ... but it's ok .. cause we will give them a field spell to solve all the issues .. surely they'll be able to play it every turn .. right ? .. right !!??

This is what I like being a casual player. Of course, I would only play cards that would help the archetype/series as I put the core of the deck forward only.

So curious to find out a ruling. What is the interaction between ice dragons prison and koa’ki miru overload? Had this come up in a game the other day and had no idea what to do we agreed that overload negated the summon however not sure if that was correct
Overload doesn't negate effects that perform summons, only summons that happen by themselves so it can't interact with IDP. You can identify an activated effect as either the main effect of a normal/quickplay spell or normal/counter trap or by it being templating with a colon seperating the activation condition from the effect proper.

I don't dislike Swordsoul myself, I am on the hate train against Protos and Auroradon. :-) I think Virtual World Swordsoul is pretty cool.

Seeing MBT playing my favorite deck - Magikey - with the Halqdon Engine made me roll my eyes out in disgust. There are better plays of playing the deck, though this optimal build is actually cringe.
