Thank you for sharing this, its so nice to see his life away from TV, the media and his radio persona. He had such an influence on my young life, I have no doubt he helped shape my warped sense of humour and love of comedy. I think of him often

Kenny was a comedy genius. I grew up watching him on Australian TV in the 80s. I always thought he was hilarious and still do.

Kenny has always been my fairy godfather. If it wasn’t for technology and good people like you he would feel so far away, but in some ways now he’s closer than ever. Thank you for sharing.

He had a good heart. I’m really just a bit too young to have met him but I watched him on tv a lot. He was so funny. I miss that time too because in spite of everything, the horrors of the HIV crisis included, it felt like there was still hope in the world.

@@jackbrown4120he knew he was ill as far back as 1988. The main problem was actually his hearing, the illness destroyed it wich broke his heart because his life was audio & visual

I want to know. Did he ever mentioned anything about Freddie Mercury? I recall that they had a bad fight before he died in 1991.

I think they had a falling out. Kenny did have a habit of falling out with people especially in his later life.

Freddie and Kenny talked it out and reconciled in 1989, as both had HIV. Both had too strong characters. It is good that it came to a dialogue.

So desperately sad that Kenny passed away and indeed many thousands of people from AIDS. HIV treatment that was more efficacious and safer was only a few years away at this point.

This is a wonderful video. The story needs to be retold and reframed. Even in the early to mid 2000s people told the story of Kenny Everett, Freddie Mercury and other stars who had HIV almost as if they deserved it because of their behavior. Nobody deserves it, everyone *EVERYONE* has sex, and some people were tragically unlucky.
I’m thankful that I’m too young to have been an adult at the height of the aids crisis and I am grateful to all who came before. Everyone who died paved the way for a better world in respect to HIV treatment, but it’s awful that the died. If the governments had acted faster, more people would have been saved. Kenny would be 77, he could easily still be here.
