    Hi Evans. I really love your videos because it helps me a lot and keep me focus on the game. If you can have a video that show people how to read better such as putting your opponents to a certain range and you do the analysis from street to street this would be excellent for players to improve their game further. Thank you.

    What took me so long to check this video out? This is gold.
    How do you deal with a villain who's got position on you who likes to 3bet ragged Aces or suited connectors?
    Are you gonna defend with AJs,KQs or 55 to 99 knowing this villain is crazy?
    I tried firing back after 6 hand of patience with 99 and run into KK.

    • @gripsed
      @gripsed  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Don Juan Glad you enjoyed the video bro :)
      Against that type of villain you can either
      a) 4-bet them with more bluffs (blockers)
      b) tighten your opening range so you have more premium hands
      c) slowplay your big hands and let them bluff off
      I woudl stay away from the small pairs, and know that just because they 3bet wide doesnt mean they will 3-barrel wide, so sometimes you have to call one bet or two and then fold to the latst one. Really just gotta know your opponent and pay attention to timing tells and what not.
      At the end of teh day, trust your gut and you'll probably do ok!

    what exactly does suited gappers 7 and 5 suited plus and 10 and 7 suited plus mean? (used in button tight 33%) does that mean I can play any gappers suited 7 and 5 and above? like can I play 8 6s, 8 5s, 9 7s, etc. I don't get what do those mean cause they say plus then have two ranges. Like for high card hands on the button can I play any high cars 9 8 offsuit all the way to a k offsuit?

    • @kylegoreham4732
      @kylegoreham4732 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      7-5 is a two gapper
      10-7 is a three gapper, thus needing higher rank to compensate for being more gapped.

    I can't even put words to how much I appreciate your video's. Just started watching them a few days ago. I "used" to be good at poker a few years ago. I spent 12 hours a day, grinded from micro to 200nl, and I was playing Potraiser, Entraction, and they took my roll. Got pretty torn up about it, and kinda left poker after that for a few years.
    It feels as if you've rekindled my old passion, everyone says it's too late, I'm too old, game's figured out, all that shit. But fuck that.

    Is there a video with ranges for full ring? I have great postflop play and reads, I just want to stop leaking because of ranges.
    My general rule is if I don´t see myself making profit with it then I don´t play it, or I don´t see myself being able to steal or outplay my opponent, but it would be nice to see ranges like this for full ring. Thanks . P.s. Evan is the shit

      Ygor Aragao This video is about raising preflop to steal blinds as well as maintain control...you are in the big blind, therefore you have a degree of strength, as your hand is disguised, and you get to see how the preflop action plays before you act. Therefore, I would suggest UTG strategy for preflop raising, but even a bit tighter, as calling, would most likely be the best play, unless you have the top 1% of hands, and you want to force a heads up, or make them pay.
      Raising in the big blind is a very easy way to make a mistake, as I have taken many of stacks by limping monsters in short handed cash games vs a SB/BB preflop raise. Now, they feel committed to calling your reraise, and the pot odds increase. Try that 🔧 in your next cash game.
      Mixing up your style is also very important..maybe try starting loose>then play tight, and then go back to loose> or even exploit the loose play giving a false impression of your play, then stay super tight and aggressive. You can really confuse the grinders by doing this. Just when they think they have you pegged, you turn over a strong starting hand that murdered their weak top pair at the showdown.
      I suggest reading some beginners books. Negreanu has some very good ones that teach his "small ball" philosophy. Cheers.
