Excellent presentation and description, thank you. Except for the misaligned ball detent, they look decent. I also appreciate the HF alternative, good work.
I saw a 3-IN-1 Duratech Ratchet on Amazon the other day, on one side it has a 3/8 and on the other it has a 1/2 with 1/4 on the end of the anvil. I like Gimmicky stuff and for $14.99 I'm tempted to buy it.
15 bucks is 15 bucks but these ratchets don't look too bad. I would give them a shot if they were available in my area. There's a grocery store called Aldi in my area that sells The WORKZONE and FERREX Tools brand tools which are limited run items. Also, I wanted to mention to you in case you didn't already know that on Amazon, there is an EPAuto brand 46 piece ratchet set that sells for $39.87 (01/19/2023). It comes with a 3/8 and 1/4 ratchet, sockets, extensions and case. It looks identical to Harbor Freights Icon 3/8 inch ratchet ($37.99) and 1/4 inch rachet ($33.99). So, for $71.98, you can purchase HF's Icon ratchets or, you can go on Amazon and buy the EPAuto look alikes and get the whole set for $39.87. It looks identical but who knows if the internal quality is the same.
That Epauto set does not include the Icon ratchets any longer. The current set includes dual pawl ratchet mechanism much like these Lidl ratchets. I saw a video from a couple of days ago of a guy who just bought the set recently. He showed that the new batch of Epauto set have ratchets different from the earlier sets.
Not too bad of a Ratchet if you are a handyman or an Appliance Tech now i am going to look for that Ratchet set next time i am at a Supermarket enjoyable video and a good review
Two ratchets for $15 is a pretty good deal, but I might be more inclined to get the $12 combo ratchet at Harbor Freight just because of the warranty aspects that you mentioned. Although honestly at these prices I'd pretty much consider these disposable tools and would be surprised that you get any warranty at all.
Yes. I use long handled 1/4 ratchets; 9 inch and 12 inch. Not for leverage or torque. Only for reach. Very handy when working on Autos. Good video👍
Hey thanks for confirming that. I suspected teach could also be a reason👍
Great review! 😃👍
Hey many thanks 👍

I saw a 3in1 ratchet at Walmart. I have to admit I was tempted to get it lol

Yeah the Lidl supermarket tools are in the quality range of about a Pittsburgh tool from Harbor Freight.

I’ve had the HF Pittsburgh one for a while. Used it a couple of times. It’s pretty good.
