    It’s a very formidable rig. They did a really nice job. I think they did a better job on the interior. End of day though the GM twins/cousins Big suv lineup just has too much market share.

    I have purchase the series 2 Jeep Wagoneer . I have to comment that I loaded up my family 5 adults and 3 teenagers for a weekend get away. Surprisingly we were very comfortable for a 4 hr trip. Gas was 12.1 litres per 100km on average. I think it’s good. Lots of power 5.7 Hemi turning radius is good. Safety features great!

  • @hellkitty1014
    @hellkitty1014 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Ok, so a few observations: I noticed on the luxury pickup trucks on TK being this price, nobody bats an eye, but the SUV equivalent that tows 10K pounds and it is an issue? Interesting how that works.
    The Grand Wagoneer is just like the Grand Cherokee was when it came out: Slightly more costly than the competition. In the case of GW, it has a total larger interior than any of the competition, true 4WD w/ 4Lo and eLSD.(US). That's to say nothing of the options such as night vision, McIntosh sound, dual rear climate w/ rear heated/cooled seats, live connected rear entertainment, highest tow rating, power heated 3rd row seat(US), passenger infotainment screen(Series III, US)...all of these items being class exclusives. The Tahoe, Expedition, and GMC all are roughly the same price.
    One thing I do love about the Wagoneer is that you can get many luxury features like heated/cooled seats, panoramic roof, and real leather on a base Series I for about $68K.

    For a family, this is not at all a proper step up from a mini-van price wise. Just too much money for what it is.
    I would not pay more than C$45K plus tax for such a vehicle. So Jeep is going to have to trim down their vehicules and get down to hearth period.

    The 5.7 Hemi’s reliability in the Wagoneer is gonna be beyond 200,000 miles- no questions asked! The Hurricane’s reliability is to be determined, but I prefer the traditional Hemi as I know it will last, and it doesn’t put out the extreme heat that a forced air engine does.

    Completely agree on the aspect of towing for a boat. I am a mother of 2 young kids, and we tow our big Moomba boat twice a year so I appreciate the 10k pounds of towing capacity. Also, I currently have the New Grand Cherokee Summit (all luxury) and I have to say....my new wagoneer series 1 is more than sufficient as far as luxury goes. I don't see spending the extra for the Grand, especially after owning the Summit GC. As a mom, the extra Summit features especially in the back seats like heated seats, has been more than a pain than a blessing. Luxury interiors and young kids/toddlers don't mix! lol Great video, thanks!

    With some of these negative comments i wonder if they even test drove the Wagoneer?? Well for someone that has driven all the competiton (Tahoe, Expidition, Yukon) and even owned, The Wagoneer can Definitely compete. The 5.7L Hemi is more than enough to power the Wagoneer. The Series 1 is the way to go. $63,800 add the panoramic sunroof and larger wheels and total is $67,000 You are getting ALOT of vehicle and luxury at that price point.

    What was the payload sticker on this model you drove? So difficult to get payload ratings - 10000lb towing is meaningless to me as I tow an 8k lb trailer with my family of 6 - I have a 3/4 ton 2010 suburban now that needs replacing, but nothing on the market has a payload of 1800lb+ (my situation's minimum) and can seat 6 comfortably. Oh, I feel bad for you Canadians. For me and my family, the WS2 did not add any value worth the price delta! We opted for the WS1 4x2 (We live in AZ). It comes pretty loaded in the US. Capri leather seats, heated and ventilated front seat standard. It also has a heated steering wheel standard. It has all front/rear parking sensors. It comes standard with a 10.1" center screen even on the base trim. This is the reason why the starting price for the WS1 is much higher than the Tahoe you mentioned. The Tahoe doesn't have any of these features as standard and you have to climb up to LT2 trim level in the US to get leather and I didn't find where you get ventilated leather seats. LT2 is already more expensive than the WS1 trim so in my book, the Wagoneer Series 1 is a screaming deal vs. the competition at the base model. The 5.7 is more potent than Chevy's 5.3L as well. You can add an HD tow package for a 10Klbs towing capacity. My Wagoneer didn't come with a tow package so it can only tow 7490lbs max with 1500lbs payload capacity. Not all Wagoneers can tow 10KLBS. If you get a tow package, your rear end will jump to 3.92 vs. 3.21 for the standard axle so get ready to pay more at the pump so consider that if towing is not high on your list.

    Just traded from a 2020 Durango R/T to a 2022 Wagoneer S3 with the 5.7L. $92,000+ MSRP here in Canada but with current incentives and my discount for working at the dealership, I paid under $80,000 which for its option package was an excellent deal. We have a family of 4 with 2 dogs. One child is in Hockey and we found there just wasn't enough room for friends and hockey gear.

      @@franktank9573 I just picked up a Wagoneer S1. I've rented Ford Expeditions and Chevy Tahoes. The current Tahoe is outdated and a bit more expensive when you configure them the same way as the Wagoneer! That's why I went with the Wagoneer Series 1. Out of the box, it comes impressively loaded even on the base trim! Chevy dealers in my area don't have much inventory and they still have markups or mandatory dealer add-ons which made the discounted Wagoneer I got an even bigger screaming deal!

For sure Canada is a much smaller market than the US but still a significant one and definitely bigger than mexico. As long as they see Canadians still buying even at high prices and at specific trims; they'll continue to do so

    I had a 2WD wagoneer back in the days which i was using on the daily basis for off-road trails sand dunes and beaches as well as during snow season (no rock climbing or extreme stuff mind you ;). It was the most capable vehicle i have ever drove.
    Although it was permanently having little issues overall it was a rock, i can never get into a so call 4wd without missing that old tank.
    I can't imagine the new ones are useless off Road??
    Anybody having experience on this?

    I agree with both of you. We should get the full range of vehicle. I live in Whitby and had a 1995 Suburban years ago; never used 4 wheel drive at all. I got rid of it when the price of gas hit $1.40 the first time. Two wheel drive is more than adequate here considering the weight distribution. Plenty of weight over the rear axles with snow tires.
    We are definitely charged more proportionate to the U.S. as you folks point out all the time.
    Keep up the great work. Love your videos.

    • @wildbill23c
      @wildbill23c 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kervensferdinand669 Won't save you any fuel, you are asking a smaller engine to do the same amount of work as a larger engine, anytime you accelerate and that turbo spools you are using more fuel, that undersize turbo engine idea sounds cool on paper but in the real world when you use a truck as a truck (i.e. towing/hauling) you want a V8, not a I4 or V6 with a turbo doing the job. On top of that those turbo gas engines don't last nearly as long because they're often times being over worked as a result of being undersized.
