I sell guns at this store (going in here in a bit today as a matter of fact) and we are pumped to hear how people enjoy our store. It is also a GREAT place to work. For instance, this morning we had (paid) training....we were shooting the Weatherby rifle line (including the incoming 307 Alpine CT) with Nightforce optics and using Longshot camera systems with the respective product reps out to 1050 yds. :) The Hawkins Precision rings and mounts you saw are great products made right here in Colorado Springs. I use them on my Seekins HIT. If there is anything I can do for you (or anything I can help you get ahold of) just call and ask for Larry in guns!!! PS HUGE bonus.....we are incredibly dog friendly!!! Bring your fur balls to hang out!!
Hey I'm a younger guy newer to the firearms industry for about 4 years now. I don't know if I've ever seen you there but every time I go into the shooting area the guys there are always super cold, super stern with me. For no reason. Any time I've asked anything from the guys over there they are no where near as enthusiastic or welcoming as anybody else that works at Scheels. Sometimes it gets a little discouraging. This isn't even a thing with just Scheels either. There is a stigma where experienced guys in the firearms community look down on younger guys like myself who are still learning a little bit as they go and I don't know why. I hope you're not one of those people, and I'll be sure to look around for you Larry next time I go there and need assistance!
I was a Gunsmith at one of the locations that Scheels offers gunsmithing, pretty good place to work. They do train their sales staff very well to the point where they are experts in their field.
Won 5K in Reno, we all went to the Scheels in Sparks NV...it was like an adult Toy R Us ...3K of my 5K Stayed in Nevada...the good way...not at the casino.
I had to sell both my models 19 (stainless) & Blue 29 S&W's when they outlawed them back in the 80's. This was after a mass shooting when the government oulawed them. I got a pittance for them when I had to sell them back to The Keep in Tavistock, Devon. I've spent 22yrs in the Royal Marines and 25yrs as a police officer (firearms counter terrorism role). This was the only time I could be around guns. IF I win the lottery, i'm applying for a Green card under the U.S.A's 50,000 per year Green card lottery system. I live in hope.🙏🤞
As someone who worked in retail for many years I’m really impressed with how well everything was zoned, merchandised, end caps are full, everything is priced. I didn’t get to see any interactions with cs or sales floor staff but just based on what I saw of the rest, that management team cares about what their store looks like and is putting product on the shelves where they can. Notice how clean the glass was on the display cases. That crew is working hard to maintain that store and drives sales. Thanks for the video.
Scheels is a fun store to visit and explore. I enjoy taking my brother to browse the store since I like looking at the firearms, ammo, accessories, and fitness equipment, while my brother likes to look at the athletic attire and shoes. It really is a one stop shopping experience for a lot of different items.
Thanks for sharing Andrew! Same for the gun shops up in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. You can actually pick up the gun, (rifle or shotgun only), and rack the action. Enjoy the weekend!
I grew up in MT where the only sporting goods stores around were scheels and sportsman’s. Aside from the range, wheels was always my favorite place to be. Everyone who worked there and shopped there were so amazing. The change was drastic when I moved
Last summer I visited my son in AZ and he took me to their newly opened Scheels. OMG! I was in heaven for sure and couldn’t believe the size of that place. The gun selection was out of this world.
That was a smaller local/regional store when I was growing up. Had a few stand alone but mostly mall locations. Incredible to see where they are now and how they’ve taken off.
My daughter lives in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and there is a Scheejs about 10 miles from her. I have to go and drool every time I visit her! There is no where near me that has the availability of reloading components that Scheels has. Closest one to me is about 300 miles up near Dallas.
Yep. I'm up here in Dallas and I find any excuse to visit Scheels at least a few times a month. They also have incredibly good deals during Black Friday that's worth driving up for.
I would be like a kid in a candy store. Awesome place to window shop & find your dream pistol, shotgun, rifle & all the ammo you can afford. I got to find one of these near where I live.
Try the Holland and Holland shop in London. It is an Oh my god store. The best of the best, almost unbelievable how increadable thier firearms are. So classic and an amazing experience. They treated this poor Canadian like a prince! The best staff on earth treated me like I could afford to shop there and really proud of the product the sell. Thank you from Wayne 30 years ago, and I still want that matching pair of 20 bores you let me handle. Such great people and gonzo nice product, absolute artwork that should be displayed alongside any Picasso.
We have nothing close to this in the UK. I would love to spend the day in there as I'm now learning about reloading and have the 419 press. Buy the best and cry only once.. Thank you so much for the video from Scotland
I lived in Omaha for several years near where a Shells was located. You are correct, that is an awesome well stocked store! Anyone could absolutely spend over 100k there, especially since they are so over priced on many of their items.
I went to one in SD while I was on a quick day trip up there… jaw dropping and mouth watering stuff they have! At the time I lived in Cali and I was crying inside a bit 😂😢
That is so awesome. I wish they had Scheels out here in the east you’re going through and showed the aisle with all the smokeless powders that stuff in stock on the shelves that you cannot find at all online. so jealous.
Used to go to Scheels in Reno. Big selection of everytbing. Always fun to go. Then mkved to Idaho. Scheels opened up in Meridian, Idaho. Gun department was great. Camping was excellent. Just an amazing selection of everything.
Amazing. This is certainly more impressive than any Bass Pro Shop or Cabela's I've ever been too. Would love to handle some of those Henrys on the rack.
You will fall in love with the Scheels in Montana they're all over up there and I know how you feel about spending alot of money there . I was like a kid in a candy store 😊
We got a bens outdoors in Michigan. It's passed Cabela's now and it builds on every other year. Pretty cool store. Owned by a guy that lives in our community.
Visited the Colorado Springs store and it has anything you need for hunting which is my biggest point of interest. However, I found their all tags with MSRP prices.
I went to the one Reno. super nice staff and yes you can spend you house down payment there easy.....a lot of discipline and slapping yourself that you have a family need to take care of.......
Like the store in Overland Park, KS (Kansas City Metro). Big place. My understanding is that each store is optimized for the region it is in. In other words, the types of product may vary from Texas to North Dakota! If you visit wear comfortable shoes as you may be walking around a lot longer than you had planned!
My first Scheels experience was in Reno, NV and I was blown away. Wish we had these in Washington state. I'd just go to hang out. Very disappointed in the Cabelas/BassPro & REIs we have here. This sore trumps all of these together.
My grandpa lives next to the one in Johnstown CO. I sometimes walk over to the store to check out what they have. I usually just get candy for the wife since I’m too poor to buy anything else in the store.

Awesome!! Thanks for the reply. Keep up the good work. Everyone I spoke to was super friendly ❤️
Nice
You have my dream job buddy, enjoy it
super cool.

Crying Canadian tears right now, keep fighting for your rights down there!
Scheel’s is amazing. Kind of what Cabela’s used to be. Can’t wait until they come to Texas!
already here in Dallas
In The Colony already.
Won 5K in Reno, we all went to the Scheels in Sparks NV...it was like an adult Toy R Us ...3K of my 5K Stayed in Nevada...the good way...not at the casino.
When ever I go to the big Reno gun show I absolutely have to visit Scheels also
BY FAR THE BEST sporting goods store anywhere! I don't even bother to go to Cabela's anymore.
It really depends, Rapid City has both but they have a smaller style Scheels so Cabela's is better, I'd say it depends what kind of Scheels you have.
Johnny morris ran Cabelas into the ground. It was the worst thing that could have ever happened to Cabelas was that idiot buying it.
There is absolutely nothing like this in the uk..it looks fantastic.
This must blow any European's mind. This is 'Murica! It's different. I only hope it stays that way.
I had to sell both my models 19 (stainless) & Blue 29 S&W's when they outlawed them back in the 80's. This was after a mass shooting when the government oulawed them. I'm american and my smiths are one of the last things I'd ever part with, even over ARs and the like. I'm genuinely sorry you had to do that.
The cashiers at my local Scheels always say “welcome to heaven” when you walk through the door
Went to the one in Minnesota, I was definitely in heaven 😂 Basspro and cabelas can’t compete
What a dream store.
The fact they have that extent of reloading supplies is extremely impressive

Actually he used a Marlin 1895 SBL 45-70 in the movie. Great video and awesome store. Thanks for taking the time to do the video !!
Damn, that the first time I've seen inside a Scheels. Wish they'd open one up in Florida
Oh Man !
Seen from France, this display is a Miracle... it’s just unimaginable !
When i visit my son in Rochester, MN, a trip to Scheels is always on the addenda.
One of my favorite stores to visit when I travel out west.

Thank you for sharing . Heck of a nice place for guns and ammunition as well as many other things.
I can’t wait to shop at Scheel’s again soon. It’s incredible!

That’s worth a trip out there, just see so many different products in one place is truly amazing.
Last summer I visited my son in AZ and he took me to their newly opened Scheels. OMG! I was in heaven for sure and couldn’t believe the size of that place. The gun selection was out of this world.
Aweseome Store!!! Love the fish tank and all the good stuff!!!!!
That was a smaller local/regional store when I was growing up. Had a few stand alone but mostly mall locations. Incredible to see where they are now and how they’ve taken off.

Speaking from Australia. Heaven exists brothers, it's name is The USA.
If Heaven is a place where people have a perverted love of killing tools, then yes
Try the Holland and Holland shop in London. It is an Oh my god store. The best of the best, almost unbelievable how increadable thier firearms are. So classic and an amazing experience.

Love Scheels! Was just at the ones in The Colony the other day getting some new Optima HP chokes.
We have nothing close to this in the UK. I would love to spend the day in there as I'm now learning about reloading and have the 419 press. Buy the best and cry only once.. Thank you so much for the video from Scotland
We need this store in miami so badly 😩
at there price i could easily spend a million USD there. and love it.
this company is smart as they have stayed out of ca.
Years ago a trip to Minot from Regina always included a visit to Scheels in the mall. Used to be able to bring back ammo.
I lived in Omaha for several years near where a Shells was located. You are correct, that is an awesome well stocked store! Anyone could absolutely spend over 100k there, especially since they are so over priced on many of their items.

My son lives in Texas and he took me to Scheels and it is amazing
Looks like what Cabelas used to be!
Until Bass Pro took over
Wow, I could spend a lot of money there, Lol. If I had it to spend. Like looking at a sears catalog when i was a kid. Thanks for the video.
Yeah, Scheels in Appleton WI is my stop when the need arises.
That is so awesome. I wish they had Scheels out here in the east you’re going through and showed the aisle with all the smokeless powders that stuff in stock on the shelves that you cannot find at all online. so jealous.

6:20 I want it! It's perfect for home defense!
Assuming you have a house left after you fire that thing.
I’m from New Jersey and now I live in Phoenix Arizona and I love shields comfortable as everything is definitely a great store👍🏾
Scheels is pretty magical.
We need a Scheels in Austin! Looks great.
There's one coming to Cedar Park. They're not all that big though, that one is like 3x either of the one's I go to.
Wow that place is amazing thank you for the video.
Came thru Idaho and was very nicely surprised to see the new Scheel sporting goods store. They have items I have only seen in magazines.
Love Scheels! I bought a Colt Python 4" and an unfired S&W 41 magnum there. Best sporting Goods store I have ever visited,
Great store in Sparks, Nevada. Biggest. The Texas store is bigger only by counting the warehouse space. Cheaters.
That store gets most of my money. Excellent customer service too at least here in Iowa.
We have the same building here in billings,mt. And I have never seen it packed like the Colorado one
Went to the Missoula store a couple months ago. Blew my mind, the best store.
I was there visiting from Oklahoma last week, when to Bass Pro first very disappointed with them, but Scheels hit it out of the park
As a reloader, I would have a breakdown in that place.
Wow! Impressive Store! Thanks for the vid👍🏼
You will fall in love with the Scheels in Montana they're all over up there and I know how you feel about spending alot of money there . I was like a kid in a candy store 😊
finally went to the scheels that opened up here in Oklahoma, i wish i had a few grand to drop
Just had my first experience with this store in AZ. You really need to pack a lunch with you cause you can easily spend a day there!
They have a cafe/resturant in it
We got a bens outdoors in Michigan. It's passed Cabela's now and it builds on every other year. Pretty cool store. Owned by a guy that lives in our community.
Those 6 half primers Remington are $200 buck here in Australia perfect 1000
We just got one out here in Arizona. Absolutely love that place
Visited the Colorado Springs store and it has anything you need for hunting which is my biggest point of interest. However, I found their all tags with MSRP prices.
I love this store is for everyone at all ages
There's one in Appleton, WI! I'll have to make a trip up and check it out.
Yeah, I have been there a few times. It is nuts.
They have the best variety of firearms and accessories not to mention the clothing and boots 🥾
Wow, I wish I had one of those near me. That’s like heaven.
I went to the one Reno. super nice staff and yes you can spend you house down payment there easy.....a lot of discipline and slapping yourself that you have a family need to take care of.......
This store chain needs to be protected at all costs.
WOW ! What a GREAT store, I wish there was one near me , 😞
Very nice archery section as well. I do shop this same store.
Like the store in Overland Park, KS (Kansas City Metro). Big place. My understanding is that each store is optimized for the region it is in. In other words, the types of product may vary from Texas to North Dakota! If you visit wear comfortable shoes as you may be walking around a lot longer than you had planned!
just went into the one in The Colony North of Dallas at dam it has everything even a candy store
Thanks to this video, I went to their website on 8/11/24.
FREE shipping with no minimum!
If I went to that store, i would go broke in no time at all. I want everything 😅😅😅
Scheels are super nice stores and have everything you need, however it is crazy expensive. Just like everything else I guess.
Thanks for sharing!!
it is easy to sell for less than the high mark up at bass pro.
Moving to AZ soon. Can’t wait to check out their stores
One more thing, they have a online store and they ship
First time I walked in there was a guy scuba diving in the fish wall cleaning it
My first Scheels experience was in Reno, NV and I was blown away. Wish we had these in Washington state. I'd just go to hang out. Very disappointed in the Cabelas/BassPro & REIs we have here. This sore trumps all of these together.
Need one in Michigan!!... Bass Pro destroyed Cabelas!😢
Isn’t Scheels amazing!!! When I travel back home or to Fargo to see my daughter, I HAVE to always stop by Scheels!
The one in Reno/Sparks area, you could just handle the rifles. When did it all go behind lock and key?
My grandpa lives next to the one in Johnstown CO. I sometimes walk over to the store to check out what they have. I usually just get candy for the wife since I’m too poor to buy anything else in the store.
this is the johnstown store!
I got my Holosun DRS-NV optic from SCHEELS online. I just forget which store it came from, but they had em' first.
This blows the bass pro by me away
Saw one in Omaha, could have gone through a small fortune myself!
Scheels in Reno was amazing
It’s like Disneyland for adults. Have one nearby and glad it’s not too close 🤣
Yeah I pretty much live at ours on days off for like 25 years now. lol
We love the one here in Texas. Its in The Colony,TX
Awesome store for sure
Here’s hoping that they don’t sell out to Johnny Morris so he can kill it off like he did with Cabelas.
From your lips to God's ears.
Next time Im in Kansas City Im definitely going to the Scheels there...
Dad is holding onto the sig with my older brother when I get like this
My adhd would completely take over my person in that store. Jesus, the amount of things in there that I want.....
