Gengar's shiny isn't the problem. Normal Gengar having been darkened to the point it's almost the same as the shiny form is the problem.

@@frostbyte2899If anything Garchomp's Shiny has gotten better over time, still subtle, yeah, but it looks more distinct now than it did in past gens.
White Ursaring is absolutely underrated. Love that design!
I love the sun-moon Kommo-o version! I also really like the color-swapped Archen, moving around the pre-existing colors is really fun idea

Those final counterpart shinies are amazing, I’d love to see a full video on more of those alone, even if the original shinies are already fine as they are
I adore dark pink and black together.
Ngl the washed out colours of Shiny Ttar have grown on me because they remind me of barren and dry grass fields which kinda speaks to me because many of it's dex entires says it just causes enough damage that maps have to be redrawn. Yeah, it makes mountains into plains where the dry grasses and sandy, dry soil is.

Hisuian Typhlosion's shiny is super underwhelming, the color of the flames don't even change!!

I didn’t know people didn’t like shiny Crobat. I like that one the pink is fun. That the only one I disagree with. Otherwise your made some great alternative versions
The pink looks good, I just think it depends on the sprite or model! I think it can look really good in certain games or lighting conditions but can also look kinda ugly.
Some people just can't stand that shade of pink and that shade of green together. If the shades were the same that they were on Golbat's shiny, people would probably like Crobat's more than they do now.
I don't dislike Crobat's shiny. I just think it would look amazing with zubat's color scheme. I'd shiny hunt for that. As is, I just find the current crobat shiny to be inoffensive.

Personally, I think Leafeon and Gogoat have great shinies already. I can understand disliking Leafeon's shiny in current generations where shinies have become more muted, but shiny Leafeon in Gen 4 is absolutely beautiful. I spent a couple hundred hours in Platinum resetting for a shiny Eevee just so I could have a shiny Leafeon!
A lot of shinies got screwed by the 3D models, Leafeon being one of them. Some Pokemon's regular colors got screwed too (insert Lanturn)
Leafon barely changes.
Espeon is one of my favorite Pokémon but green is also my least favorite color so I always saw it as a prime example of one of the worst Shiny trends of “it just turns green.” Anything was an improvement.
I do like what you’ve done with Leadeon and Gogoat, I always thought one of the best things to do with grass Pokémon is to release “the autumn palette” because it’s such a pretty idea.

I love the cyclizar idea. Like what if the shiny was version exclusive too? That would have been such a unique approach

As far as counterparts, I did a volbeat/illumise color swap that I thought turned out pretty neat, even if I like their original shinies. And I agree that seviper definitely looks the best of the two! ^_^

For vanillite line we could add a scoop of different flavour with each evo rather than having three distinct shinies

Seviper and Zangoose do look good. But I'm a little disappointed cause their shinies already matched very well.
Zangoose and Seviper's claws/fangs/blades match with the others scars. Zangoose red scars, dark blue claws, and Seviper blue scars and red fangs/blade. Their shinies then reverse that. Zangoose goes blue with red claws, and Seviper shows red scars and blue fangs/blades
Love this, i wish they made more shiny variations for pokémon instead of just 1 single shiny

Glaceon definitely needs a revamp, as does Regice and Zapdos, for Zapdos in particular I thought of simply making its beak and talons an electric blue color while keeping it yellow, not a huge change but I think one that could fit well. Though to really wanted to ramp it up, it could also have the body color change to a storm cloud black/gray
A shiny Pokémon that would greatly benefit from changing the original's pallette is my personal favorite: Salamence. Swapping the red and the cyan would've been so much cooler than doing the 12-millionth green shiny.
Oh that would be a good idea… red salamander would go crazy.
if this video got a sequel, charcadet, armarouge, and ceruledge all need better shinies. just two concepts for upgrading their shinies off the top of my head would be:
1: palette swapping armarouge and ceruledge (so that armarouge becomes purple and ceruledge becomes yellow/red) and making charcadet copy ceruledge's normal colours rather than armarouge's colours.
2 (my personal favourite): giving charcadet's shiny grey armour and red flames, armarouge's shiny white armour and gold flames, and ceruledge's shiny black armour and purple flames to reference white knights, black knights, and a squire that has yet to choose their path (and the grey for charcadet can also reference grey charcoal/ash as well)
Oh yeah! I’d love to take those on.
I never thought I could see someone make worse shiny than a pokemon that has a bad shiny but doing it three times is crazy
all great concepts! i do find it funny that people hate drastic color swaps for some shinies. i personally can’t stand the Garchomps and Pikachus of the game. Kommo-o and Crobat are super cool, pink and green aren’t clashing colors just because they are nearly opposite on the color spectrum!

I think ALL recolors you did for Garchomp are even better than the regular non-shiny color scheme
Side note, that second Archen variant with the swapped pallet REALLY looks like Woody Woodpecker and I love it

The only "bad" shinies to me are ones that have just a slightly different tone of the same color, making them barely noticeable.
Even the "worst" off color shiny is better than Regice or Zapdos shinies to me 😅

i genuinely kinda like kommo-o's canon shiny, though id personally change the green lol. green and pink can be such a nice color palette, but yellow-y green is a... very iffy color in general imo
I love garchomp so much and as a shiny hunter I always just get a shiny Gible and just never evolve it 💀
Sneasler is one of my favorite Pokémon and I was kinda disappointed when I saw it’s shiny, particularly contrasted with Hisuian Sneasel’s shiny which is really cool stark black and yellow. I used to wish they just kept the exact same color pallet as it’s prevo, but once I thought more about it I guess that would either mean way too much complete black or eye-stinging yellow. I’m learning to love it as it is, especially because its claws are still excellent. I’ve tried to look up fixes before but never found any! I’d love to see your takes!

I actually really like shiny crobat but i also love the blue crobat that you designed👍🏻
I want to see a shiny version of gothitelle with inverted colors:
White dress and hair with black color for the bows and for the little disks at the wrists as well.
With light purple eyes, maybe light pink for the face and dark purple for the libs. To represent the psychic.
It would even fit really well thematically because white is also a very common color for the whole ghotic aesthetic.

Love the options you provided! I have a small list of shinies that I’d like to see what you might come up with.
Missed opportunities: some Pokemon that may not have bad shinies per se stray from their base/final form that it would be neat to see how they would look if they were more streamlined, like Alakazam, Golduck, Poliwrath, Dragonite, Vigaroth, Sharpedo, Musharna, Roggenrola
Then there are the ones whose shinies could definitely use some TLC, like Tauros, Flareon, Chansey, Groudon.
I hope it’s not too long a list I’ve put down, but I hope you get a chance to look at some of these and see what you come up with. Cheers!

I’ve never liked Darkrai’s shiny despite it being my favorite Pokémon. Seeing a recolor that actually does him justice would be nice.
11:24 Is the image that finally made me realize that the school uniforms resemble their respective legendaries. I thought they were just based on complimentary colors (blue to contrast orangey-red and yellow to contrast purple). Seeing these colors side-by-side like this is what made it click after a year and a half of seeing the same color schemes every time you launch the game. I feel kinda dumb for never noticing it before though lmao.
I actually do like regular shiny Garchomp. The grey and orange are pretty clearly different if you actually look at it and don't just go with what everyone else says about it. I definitely think it could be better, I'd personally like it to be a fully desaturated grey with a white belly like real sharks often are depicted with, I think the subtlety has a charm to it.
You should try color swapping Heatmor and Durant as the next pair

I think a marshadow shiny would be dope if when it became zenith form it gaines either a super saiyan gold look or it got shiny zorua' white and blue colors. Or it's base gray in regular mode is full white and the zenith mode is primarily a lighting blue with gold tips.
Volcarona shiny is super ugly, some type of vibrant blue on the wing to evocate blue flame and a pale body color would be a nice fit I think

Man, I don't remember *where* I saw it but I saw a recolor of Ursaring that changed the bright green into a deep, dark forest green and that looked SOOOO good.

Sorry but Gogoats shiny is literally Goated (hehe), I’m not sure what about it you don’t like? For me the gold and silver accents go very well together and it’s one of my favorite gen 6 shinies
Also im starting to realize im in the small camp that loves muted, earth tone kinda shinies with a small pop of color like tyranitar and volcarona.
Give me these shiny Zangoose & Seviper. They both look gorgeous.
Honestly, for Garchomp, I think it should be grey with a white belly to make it look like a great white. As for Tyranitar, I would make it grey to make it look like classic Godzilla with a red belly. And I think Pikachu's shiny should be red with yellow cheeks.
I feel like I need to vouch for my boy, I love shiny Garchomp. Obviously, it was barely noticeable, but in the 3d era they absolutely fixed it. I'll admit it's mostly because I'm attached to but also, it's a really nice color scheme. I much prefer the more muted dark colors. I know it's subtle, but it is so good. If anything, I wish they just tweaked it a little to make it more noticeable. I specifically really like that shade of orange on the stomach.

Of all the subtle shinies… I will concede it looks good. At least it’s something classy. Gengar’s shiny just looks desaturated and incomplete.
I love espeons shiny and even though I do agree that it looks great in many other colors, that is the same with the blind mass fan opinion Umbreon. Can change the 2 colors to almost any other combo and you would like it better.

I am fine with Gogoats shiny its Leafeons shiny i have a problem with.
What irks me is that they could fix those shinies if they wanted, they did it with charizard they could do it for every other pokemon that needs it.
In my opinion Garchomp's shiny should have Gabite's more saturated blues and invert the red-orange and yellow parts, shiny Gabite should also have it's red-orange stomach changed to yellow like Gible's shiny.
Ursaring could stay green but it should be a dark forest green instead of a bright neon green or it could follow shiny Ursaluna by being more of a red colour.
Shiny Crobat might not be a very "cool" shiny but it actually has a reason why it's those colours, Crobat's colours are just Zubat/Golbat's colours inverted, Golbat it blue with a purple wing membrane, Crobat is purple with a blue wing membrane, shiny Golbat is green with a pink wing membrane so shiny Crobat is pink with a green wing membrane, so if you change Crobat's shiny colours then you have to change Zubat and Golbat's shiny colours to be the inverse.
Pikachu should stay orange but it should be a darker orange and have different coloured cheeks, like white or yellow cheeks
One issue I have with a lot of "shiny fix videos/pictures" is that the artist is more focused on making the shiny look "cool" rather than making them original like making shinies black and red or super contrasting, turning every grass type autumn colours, swapping regular colour pallets with pre-evolutions/counterparts, it ends up making all the "fixed" shiny palettes feel boring and same-y as they're just copying other shiny pokemon's colours or regular pokemon's palettes.
Shiny Espeon looked really good in the 2D sprites imo, its just when they transitioned into 3D, shiny espeon became less neon and more dull looking.
Okay last comments but everyone including me tends to forget about the Colosseum shinies

Ceruledge and Armarouge NEED actual shiny palettes why did the in game ones only swap eye colors
I think it's meant to show the armor is just that, armor. Plus it is the exact same armor we give to Charcadet in the first place so might have just been a choice of consistency in the evo method.
komoo doesn't have a bad shiny either. The blan black and white every teenager baby rage loves is not fun in the least.

People are blind. Gengar doesn't have a bad shiny, its main color has gotten WAY TOO MUTED! The shiny being muted back in the day played well with the velvet purple it use to be.
Better not be saying Ttar has a bas shiny. Its a top 10 for sure. Also i feel like shiny gengar is really good, just peep the gen 3 one. The 3D crossover and desaturation ruinee it. Garchomp tho is obviously one of the worst. I prefer it to the regular but theyre basically the same. The beta colors are dope.
Kommo o is one of my favorite pokemon of all time tho but it has one of my least favorite shinies. I hate hot pink as well as lime green shinies. Fr shiny kommo o is so bad. I like the copper shiny.

I'm gonna stop watching this because after the first 2 i've had my fill. 2 simple criticisms, Black Shinies are very overrated, yeah its cool but maybe it should be something that has meaning instead y'know. Next Ursaring, he perfectly shows a phenomenon where if a bear doesn't clean its fur, algae grows on it similar to real life sloths. I always saw it as that and it looks nice, makes him look like a Grass type when hes not one.

@@jazzercise300 You'd be surprised how many say Kommo'o has a good shiny because it's meant to be eye-catching. I mean when you make a Dragon type based on the Maori's Haka, makes sense to give it a bright coloration.

90% of this mons don't need a new shiny, and 90% of your new shiny forms are just black or white, that's kinda lame ngl
Yeah kind of agree, black shinies are cool but there's a reason the black shinies we do have are liked. The designs of the base pokemon just look good in black. I get he might not like super vibrant shinies but at the same time, it's a subjective thing on what would be 'better'. Like for example I think the pallets he used for Crobat just suck. Black does not land as well on him because his design is just too simple and plain to take advantage of it.

@@SHUNTER05 That too. Main thing for me on black shinies is their designs have to work with the color palette. Same with white shinies. It just doesn't work it if apply them to any pokemon's shiny palette.
Going back to Crobat, even ignoring the algorithm thing that supposedly was a factor in the shiny palettes for a few of the first gens, Crobat's shiny makes a lot of sense for why it's like that if you just pay attention to the line's coloration normally. Zubat and Golbat are normally blue for their main color with purple for their wings' membranes, with Crobat inverting that. The shiny pallets for Zubat and Crobat? Green main body with pink wing membranes. Crobat's? Pink main body and green wing membranes. It's still following the inversion it normally does.
Too much talking, not enough shinies.
