The PERFECT person to review this. Outstanding demo & product. Will be purchasing today 👍
The SOUND is amazing. I own like every tape plugin out there and probably use the UAD stuff the most (LUNA daw mainly) But for lofi music im very interested in high amounts of customization and this one seems to deliver on the sound itself AND the feature list. awesome
Great demo - well done! I already have so many tape FX plugins but I might have to get this as it could be the best...
Thank you Cameron for another very slick demo . These plugins do indeed seem "really" good! 😉
Oh my.... These plugins sound so good. I love the unique user interface and the sound is so... FRESH❤
The music software market is so oversaturated that even an UVI product is not flaring my GAS.
As always, it does sound great.
The thing I would really love to see from UVI is a better browser for Falcon and the Workstation. It's the only weak link in your amazing products IMHO.
Yeah I don't like their browser at all. Very clumsy/clunky going between soundsets and presets
This looks incredible!
Pretty cool. Reminds me of Strymon's Deco pedal which I wish had this puppy's tape delay. I'd like to hear if those tape heads can create polyrhythms with with simple percussion. Cheers.
This is a MUST HAVE! :)
Thanks Cool Tape Effect plug lots of creative options
I wonder if Iimage-Line will add that to the FL Sounds Pro plugin suite since they're now partners with UVI.
Nice work.
Very nice! It seems like a new version of the U-he Satin, very similar controls
I like GUI! I wonder how it would sound as a "multitrack type of effect?
5:42 magic! I had headphones on and perked up immediately.
I totally agree with you!
How did you manage to make a tape model that sounds worse than the cassette deck I have is very interesting. Why does it seem like the Bias is in a bad spot no matter where I set the Bias setting (Hardness)? It's eating into the waveforms and adding crossover distortion regardless of how I gain stage it.
I miss an envelope follower as a modulation source. And I would like to have a separate control for the level of noise that comes for each model of tape.
Whats the cpu load footprint of this vst? Interested..
Who cares? I’m buying it! 🔥🔥
You mean to tell me I didn’t need to buy Rhodes MK2 software and the effects module? OMGoodness!
can you sync delay time to bpm?
I really like UVI but I cant see me ever needing or wanting to use this, the GUI looks rather nice I must say.
Cool username
mmh they also changed the design or their UI it ressembles more at what Output or Excite does than UVI used to do right?
Well, a lot of their UIs are different from each other.
Kinda, but UVI have always had killer GUIs
the whole industry is copying output,...because their success and the pandemic has shown who the biggest consumer demographic left is...uvi quality has gone down, but this pivot combined with the FL Studio merger is probably making them more money
@@jonathansaunders6697 Not true at all.
I remember this bad sound from when the tape machines at the studios i worked at were poorly calibrated. The rolloff sounds a bit cheesy too. Some tape machines when you overbias them have this silky top and mid thing going on, but this plugin sounds like a lowshelf/lowpass filter. You said the model is "parametric" and I know what that means. It's not supposed to sound this bad.
low you bass eq on your voice plz
Why are the reels turning in the wrong way? Really????
wohoooo now I am glad I did NOT buy those new thenathan plugins...these are far better
Newbee here. How would you automate it in Reaper? Sounds fantastic.
Hello, as for any fx parameter you last touched, you can always do this action: FX: Show parameter modulation/link for last touched FX parameter
you can add lfo, audio control side chain and midi link.
I may get this...at some point lol any discounts for owners of all your effect plugins?
But. I already own 4 tape recorders.... Tascam portatrack cassette, Akai reel to reel and 2 secret weapons that The Crystal Method used made by 3M...
The spinning wheel...yes wheels of a high tech bike ...so it looks...ohhhh...forgot...better sound like an old thing even though it looks like you guessed it ...electric bike wheelssssss
This is useful as creative tool, but if you think Tape Suite for your bus duties, you can forget it. As any sort of realistic tape machine plugin this can't compete with your usual suspects when it comes to tape machine plugs. Delay, chorus, flanger - OK, but as a tape machine a big NO. This time UVI disappoints.
I played with this on instruments and it sounds great but it's a huge no-no on any bus that requires any amount of finesse.
Context: I'm a bedroom producer and I make music strictly for myself. This allows me to get very creative with the master bus, for example adding a Pulsar Echorec at 10% wet or a Satin etc.
However, when I tried this on my master bus it was a disaster. I get weird phasing issues with the dry/wet knob. Even with only 5% or 10% wet on Tape Color everything sounded like shit. This is very weird for UVI which usually have such consistently high quality releases...
Hi!
In Tape Color, phasing issues can be introduced by having modulations active and using the Mix (Dry/Wet) knob ; to avoid this effect, use the Amount knob instead.

I was ready to purchase this until I found out that it requires an iLok. No, thanks.
