Older generations today, of which I now am, don’t give kids (under 30) nearly enough credit. Not just for their creativity and ingenuity, but also for their willingness to travel their own path and live an unconventional destiny. Kudos Young One.
@@rhondajohnston3084 , me too! I had a '71 VW camper that took me over most of North America. A little more challenging in those days. No solar or wireless technology or internet. And no nationwide gym memberships for showering. But some of the best memories of my life.
At 71 I wish I could say I’ve seen it all, but I haven’t. As a child our travels were taken by car and Station wagon. We were a family with 4 kids and couldn’t afford traveling any other way. We went all over the USA taking Farm Roads when there were no highways. Even traveled to Central America by Van from Chicago as a Teen. I admire this young man getting out of his small town to see the world. I have mad respect for his research and implementation of his ideas for his van. As an old man, I only have one small critique. In a front end medium to high speed collision, ALL of those loose items are going to become airborne and fly to the front cabin. Including that heavy piece of wood that requires the magnet. He has a good head on his shoulders and I would hate to see anything happen to it.

You're living the dream! Cool rig. One suggestion...perhaps you could route channels in the floor to sink/flush the rails your frig is on...that would eliminate some toe boo-boos I'd think
But then dirt and debris could fill in the track and prevent smooth movement. And you'd be constantly vacuuming it out. I agree about the toe-stubbing though ... I'm a klutz, so it wouldn't work for me. But it works for him, and that's what matters.

Ben Bigler purchased off craigslist. What just some of the parts. I had to use turnbuckles purchased at a hardware store for replacing a piece of the footing. I sanded and painted it for a fresh look.
Great job on the build! Im starting my 92 econoline and curious about the solar setup. Just looking to power a fan at night, charge things etc. Any easy setup plans you'd recommend with materials list? Thanks!
The solar controler should be mounted up and down not sideways as to cool itself the hot air rises from open ends also cover the + on the battery so you dont short to ground and have to spend big $ to replace or burn up your van - nice work on the rest of your build?
You could save more space replacing the rails with simple felt pads under your fridge. It will slide wherever you want it, and you dont have rails sticking up on your floor.
Hahaha!!! Yes, love how this turned out! Thanks again Brian!

And I have seen thousands of videos since 2020, and never have I saw a sliding refrigerator🤷♀️!
Please be careful & stay safe on your travels. Much love from South Florida 🍊
This build is awesome. What do you use for running water/cleaning dishes?
I am amazed at your will power and your ingenuity to follow your ideas and dreams of such young man. Also, I’ve enjoyed learning about becoming a Mushroom Master; very interesting. Many blessings❣️🤩 🍄
Hi from all us vanners in New Zealand, Nice van well done, safe travels, William
Would like to know where you got the aluminum roof rack and ladder.
Ben Bigler purchased off craigslist. What just some of the parts. I had to use turnbuckles purchased at a hardware store for replacing a piece of the footing. I sanded and painted it for a fresh look.
Ladder was purchased online. But another option is scrap picking one.
I came across this while watching camper van builds on u tube.. Great will see what's up with the shrooms now.. thx.. Nice van build by the way...
great job brother. your van looks perfect! safe travels and keep living your dreams!!
GREAT van conversion, but did I miss the bathroom part. GOD bless 🙏🙏 you with great travels. Be safe.
really cool man..how bout on the van did you do something on it or it is as is as you bought it?
davao0506 I did things.
Nicely done. Only thing is my preference for rear windows that open.
It’s so spacey and clean! Very convenient! Love it!!!!?
What brand & model is your refrig/freezer? Thank you!!
Great job on the build! Im starting my 92 econoline and curious about the solar setup. Just looking to power a fan at night, charge things etc. Any easy setup plans you'd recommend with materials list? Thanks!
Could you ask the gentleman where he gets the tracking or what type of tracking that he used for his edged star fridge
All the best
Peter pan the tracking was purchased on EBay. It was the best price per length.
Jacob Marlega Thank you sir for replying
what is the name of the tracking so I can buy it on eBay
I wish you well on your travels
thanks again
👍Awesome! 💝 I love the idea @4:38 with the magnet!!! I hope he’s still doing great! 🤗💞🤗
What is this guy, 5’2?! He makes this van look enormous. Wish I was shorter so van life could be more appealing for me.
This is a truly beautiful van living design. So well thought out and clever... tonnes of storage and conveniences. Call me impressed!!
The solar controler should be mounted up and down not sideways as to cool itself the hot air rises from open ends also cover the + on the battery so you dont short to ground and have to spend big $ to replace or burn up your van - nice work on the rest of your build?
i like the use of the magnet to lift the section of work top out to access the trunk!! some cool features on your van mate!!
I'd love to see a video on the pressurized solar shower. Great build, some ideas I haven't seen before, and all executed so well!
@J G Thanks - I didn't realize that, a quick search and I've got ten or so to watch!
What kind of fridge & would love to know more about your shower ? Thanks
You could save more space replacing the rails with simple felt pads under your fridge. It will slide wherever you want it, and you dont have rails sticking up on your floor.
Yo! That was awesome! Congratulations on your project. I learned a lot. Very impressed.
That van is amazing. Simple yet functional.
