I keep hearing the same thing about metalcore and how the structure can be so repetitive and it just makes me wonder what bands people have been listening to for the last 6 years. Metalcore is pretty creative nowadays.
I disagree because Metalcore is great but the vast majority is really predictable based on the song structure. Bands like August Burns Red and Architects are one of the few bands where they are paving the way for metalcore and are not taking old ideas from other bands like Fit for a King and Wage War.
Love how you pointed that out about Jake's vocals I feel so many people sleep on his talent! I left a comment on your Paramount reaction video with some more ABR songs you should react to but first you should do from another album is King of Sorrow.

Adam R Technically ABR isn’t a Christian band. Some members just happen to be Christian. They’re lyrical content isn’t religiously focused so ABR shouldn’t be labeled as a Christian band. They have said this in many many many interviews.

Compared August Burns Red to a band like For Today who is an actual Christian metalcore band and you will see the differences in their performances and lyrical content. Btw For Today was amazing you should give them a listen if you don't know them.
I don't mind you talking in between the video as long as its not long. But pausing the video time after time to give your reviews just kills the mood for people to enjoy watching the video. You might wanna consider giving your reviews after that. Otherwise, great reviews and reaction. Keep them coming dude!

I disagree because Metalcore is great but the vast majority is really predictable based on the song structure. Bands like August Burns Red and Architects are one of the few bands where they are paving the way for metalcore and are not taking old ideas from other bands like Fit for a King and Wage War.
The majority of the metalcore scene is pretty stale and boring, but there are a select few bands who keep innovating and writing good music

They are still killing it 13 years later

Meddler is probably the single best piece of musicianship you can squeeze out of a metalcore song. ABR - Meddler, if you haven't already.
Up Against the Ropes from Messengers is one of my favorites, song structure and all the parts are top notch \m/
