Only reason the beemer caught up was cause the Tesla hit it's top speed 150mph. The beemer was dead even at 150 and passed it over 150mph.

B58s are stupid fast 😂 every time I race one they put a bus on me unless they are stock
When mine was stock, it could already beat a new manual GT (almost head to head with the 10 speed) or an auto Challenger RT. Haven't had the pleasure of meeting a Camaro to complete the pony car challenge before some mild mods. Wish the stock ZF8 could hold more torque though.

They vary some sound eh but some seem to sound great with certain setups. My buddy had an e46 ESS supercharged and it's hard to ever wanna replace that sound lol

You could hear the m340i losing traction.... Motor spinning up. It would have been out front much quicker otherwise.

For instant pull, yes. But that motor would reduce its life in half of what it already has left, once he adds that.

That's very modern engine, compression ratio is high enough, you can't get better response, thats a 1000hp electric car, that's insane throttle response for a gas powered car

add another electric motor to the plaid and it’s gonna make 1600hp, it dyno’d 1101hp on a hub dyno

I wonder how it would have gone if the Plaid has 90% charge..... It would be making about 100hp more at that point.
I do about .1 sec faster 60-130mph from 80% to 90% SOC with mine 4.6s typically compared to 4.7s at 80%
BMW needs to get rid of the speed limiter. Looks like he's limited to 158

It's top speed is 150mph that's the only reason the beemer caught up. After 150mph the beemer passes it.clearly the Tesla is faster to 150. It need the update to hit 200mph

Nope. Difference is 2nd race the bimmer went on 1.5 instead of 3. It’s like jumping and being ahead for a few seconds and saying you won. I say this as a G80 owner too.
@@THExKINGxKINGx , I was referring to the first race not making a comparison between the two races , watching the video again actually the bmw “sleep”or lose tracción in the first one ( the instant torque of the Tesla doesn’t help either) ; on the second race he just “react better” ; I can not see the bmw jumping on 1.5 , seems that he went very close to 3 or maybe just on 3 ? It was close enough.. just my opinion ✌️

Wow, you’re right l haven’t been to tx2k other than media coverage however I’ve been to FL2K the past 3 years. Plenty of fast track cars. But no prep 8sec cars it’s a different story unless you’re talking $300k tt lambos, GTR, or fully built shit boxes. To say that 9s REAL DAILY STREET cars have been slow for 15 years is a big statement. Thanks for enlightening me on the subject.
My piece of shit 1300whp C7Z is no league for TX2K but w 202.8 mph half mile 170mph 1,500 roll y keeps up w your average street car and it gets beat from 40mph vs my work commuter Plaid. I guess they are both slow street cars since 15 years ago standards 🤷🏻♂️
