Great video, after I saw you're video I was motivated to add it to my 2012 taco. You're video was very helpful and I went with the same set up, happy so far with the end result.
Still holding up really well. No leaks, fogging, or oxidation. I ran it through a car was a couple time when I first got it to make sure there were no leaks, and it’s been good since. The mounting location keeps it semi protected too, I think that’s helped.
I also have auxbeam lightbars, even if one of their light bars does fog up, they will send you a new one. Happened to me, and I got to keep the original
yo dude, over the month you've had this hidden bar, how is it holding up? does it still work etc. because i plan to get one for my tacoma but i want to know how well this brand (auxbeam) is. and did you put silicone around the edges to make it water proof
Yeah it does still work, I haven't had any issues with it. I read on the reviews about some of them letting water in but I haven't had any issues with that so far. I didn't use any silicone either, I just figured I would throw it on and then if it started to get water in, I would pull it off and then seal it. I have been through the car wash probably 3-4 times with it too, so far so good.
You mean the grill in front of where the light bar is in the video? You’d have to cut the small grill area out and get different mounting brackets that would bring the bar further forward. A lot of people will do it that way, I just didn’t want to cut the black grill area out.
Hmm good question... I never have mine on, but I’d probably just screw it onto the lower bumper without the license plate cover. Or zip tie it to the grill area below the light bar if I didn’t want to put screws into the lower bumper.

I actually made it! So the black mesh and lettering came from a company called BPFabrications, but it doesn’t come installed because on the second gen Tacomas you have to do some cutting. If you look a little further back, you’ll find the videos I made detailing how I made it and installed the amber led lights!
Soooo, $70 for metal brackets when the light bar is $90. $70, for simple metal brackets. Bent metal with a couple holes drilled out. Hmmmm, no thanks. I’ll get a bull bar with an LED if I am spending near $200.
Whatever suits you man. I wanted the light bar where it’s at, and that’s what it took to put it there. There are probably cheaper brackets, but I wanted solid ones that wouldn’t vibrate because I plan to upgrade the light bar to a better one down the road. It all just depends on where you want the light placed. The bull bars look good, just not what I wanted for mine.
I think amazon has some, just not the exact ones I put on. If you want the ones I put on, they are from Rago Fabrication, just google them and you can get the mounts from their website!

I got the these Aux Beams for over 2 years now in the same place but with a flush mount, has not leaked yet unlike this other brand I bought.

So you put the straight light bar in do you thing a 32” curved light bar will fit as well ?
I believe so, I think it measures 32” total, so al long as the total length is about 32”, you’ll probably be fine

The brackets are by Rago Fabrication, just the light bar is by Auxbeam

Something must have changed with either auxbeam or caliraised, the bolts from auxbeam are way too long and the bolts from caliraised are too skinny.
