@@Tacktickle I'm about to get the hair dryer and remove the digitizer. I got to this part within 40 minutes with a couples breaks to gather stuff and make a coffee. My daughter popped a panel on the way to school. lol. I'll update when I'm done. Seems like the stick of the digitizer is going to give me a hard time. A bit afraid of the glass tho
@@Tacktickle the work is done in two parts, because I first had to get the part number of the screen and then buy it on eBay. Having the new screen I was able to make the change in 45 minutes.

Absolutely invaluable info. Took me an hour but it it fixed using these instructions. The only trick is that the bottom part with the heater controls swings out, so you have to pull from the bottom. Pulling from the top doesn't help.
Hi, I can't unscrew the screws that are holding the screen in the metal part so i can change it. I tried everything. I am starting to strip them. Any suggestions???

I followed this video and replaced my broken digitizer and connected it all back together, screen turns on and looks great, but the touch screen isn't functioning as a touch screen, but only as display.. what do I do now???

I had the same problem, ended up using an extractor drill bit and just using the 2 I got without messing up to hold it back together
