Yeah, I'm still kinda bummed that he lost those 15 seconds on the power stage when he hit the snowbank last year in Finland. It looked really promising. However, 6 points for a RC1 debut is not bad at all.
Where is this testing done? The Swedish Rally starts in Umeå on 24 February, but I guess this testing is not in those areas. So, if you know where Oliver was driving (very skillfully!), please let me know.
De må inte riktigt ha lika många hästar som t ex quatron men det tar dessa bilarna ikapp med bättre aerodynamik, fjädring, växling, bättre fyrhjulsdrift mm…
@@larsandersson4394 Toppfarten är nog lägre, men medelhastigheten är nog mycket högre idag. Dagens bilar är mycket mer lättkörda idag dessutom. Bara att dem har antilagg, och hydralisk handbroms är en uppgradering i jämförelse.
Redan i början på 2000 talet var de snabbare. En viss Grönholm har sagt det själv. Utveckling av bara fjädring och däck gör mycket. Men de som körde grupp B var otroliga chaufförer. Tex Salonen hade ingen styrservo i sin 205....
I don’t understand why on trails these cars look always in great shape till the rally starts than they need two days off zeroing everything in while the others disappear on the horizon.

By the new rules, Hyundai has put up their new test area in Finland, 30km away from Toyota. Not just for rally Sweden but hole season.

Because you're always the quickest driver when testing then you start the rally and your the slowest so spend the next two days redoing everything
