I love Chelsea so much ❤ and absolutely enjoyed her collabs. I am always amazed how differently she sounds in each of them, and I am catching myself asking - am I listening to the same artist with each new record. And I am happy to find out that she is sober and healing - it gives me hope that one more of truly legendary artists won't die of the addiction way too soon. And this encourages to stay sober as well.
So excited to hear her live for the first time. And soooo so happy to know what I suspected, that her new album is so informed by the beauty of magick.
I love you Chelsea! You've been inspiring me for years! I have five months alcohol free Your music has always been there for me 🖤🔥🖤 I also suffer from sleep paralysis and night terrors Thank you thank you thank you
Loving her new album. Tracks like 'Unseen World' and 'Place in the Sun' gives you a real chance to see the musically alignment Chelsea mentioned during this interview.
I resonate so much with her on so many levels. This interview was brilliant and I love her talking about how people criticize artists for “selling out” or being “corporate” as long as the goals align and everyone is on the same page there’s nothing wrong with putting art in commercials or other things, it really just comes down to the intention. So I don’t get the automatic aversion people have to that. Glad she talked about this cause I feel it’s pretty unfair when a lot of artists have even struggled to get the privilege they have, they have every right to collaborate with people they feel align with their personal beliefs and goals. That’s definitely not being “corporate” or “selling out” as far as I’m concerned. Also from the perspective as a listener of her art. The only reason I buy her merch is because I know she collaborates with people who help with afforestation projects and other positive goals, as a fan of her I’m not just buying her stuff to “own” it. I truly want to support her, and help the world in whatever small way I can. She is one of the few artists out there where I feel comfortable buying things from them cause I know her heart is pure. I don’t even know her on a personal level, her honesty bleeds through everything her and her fellow collaborators do, I love her and them all so so much. My gratitude for this new album and everything they have created goes beyond words of expression, and my loyalty will echo beyond this life and into the next. ❤🫶🏼😌
Amazing artist. She is truly unique. Love Chelsea Wolfe and also other various dark artists like Nine Inch Nails, Massive Attack, Portishead, HTDA, Gary Numan, ALLFLAWS
@@walterbach8947That person is just influenced by (and/or directly referring to) an old magazine cover story that featured those 3 female artists together for no reason other than they were female and seen as leading female vanguards of what was deemed ‘alternative’ music at the time. Maybe Chelsea was influenced by all 3 and has attempted to synthesize their aesthetics together.
what is obvious is Chelsea Wolfe have found a way to free herself from bad influences, and toxic relations. The main goal is to reach another dimension, and she's feeling better after been delivered from paralyzing nightmares.
Why is it that just about any time a mainstream media outlet gives Chelsea any coverage, there are so many idiotic comments from people who don't like and clearly don't understand her? After seeing her live three times, meeting briefly her after a show and following pretty much everything she has done from "Pain Is Beauty" on, I think you have to be living a pretty sad existence to feel the need to make comments like these about an artist like her.
I wish she would reveal some more then just what she says in every interview. It allways sounds like some script she learned early on and is kinda repeating. I would love to hear an interview that goes a bit deeper, where she even feels comfortable enough to talk free. Maybe one with Ben involved would be great. Not that she didn't open up over the time a bit. Anyhow it's a nice interview. And she s one of my favorite.
She’s done some podcasts recently, one for Pam Grossmans Witchwave podcast and she did another one just recently that I haven’t listened to yet. That’s probably more in depth than these type of interviews. Theres no script, but similar questions will be asked it’s just inevitable. She’s done so many interviews that it’s kind of unfair, she’s just answering the questions she’s being given. It’s not her fault that similar questions keep getting asked, and I personally don’t have a problem with it. Not everyone dives into *every* interview. So the repetition isn’t a script, it’s moreso that people who don’t know anything about her can kind of get a quick rundown of what she stands for and who she is as a person.
Ms. Wolfe is a deep and complex artist whose work is transrational and intuitive. An interviewer who is as advanced in their own art would be capable of translating some of what she’s about. A regular press interviewer doesn’t have the vocabulary to broach any of this.
On the question regarding MISOGYNY , she could have taken advantage of it to invent some story like all the artists manipulated by mass politics do. Instead, she was honest and for this telling her experience, she deserves all my respect. Intellectual honesty is possessed only by true artists.
@@chromesthesia the lady Chelsea is spooky and ethereal so he’s scared. I saw her perform with her early band, upon the release of Αποκάλυψις a decade ago and was stirred to my core. No soulless creature has the power to move me like that. The lady is a force from beyond the realm of reason and sense. She tears the veil of the dream. That frightens the cowardly.
@sandrapontius3500 she’s not the athlete, and also there’s nothing wrong with the athlete. I wish you the best in your life hopefully someday you don’t let fear and hate rule your entire existence.
She was built different, for sure. You can tell she speaks straight from her heart. Hiss Spun is one of the best records I’ve ever heard.
Its a masterpiece top to bottom
Absolutely wonderful human and artist. We are so lucky to enjoy your gifts.
I just saw her live again. I love her music and her attitude about doing what aligns with her vision as an artist!
The sound is perfect on this album, it suits her well and hope this style continues.
I love the trip hop influence on this album, fantastic.
Really love the trip hop & post-industrial soundscapes of this album. The production is some of the best i've heard in a long time.

Chelsea is literally TORI AMOS, BJORK AND PJ HARVEY ALL MIXED INTO ONE GLORIOUS GODDESS
With a little bit of early Black Sabbath and some Nine Inch Nails mixed in there.

Pas de sous titre de traduction....😮😮
One of my favorite Artists of all time. Have four of her records
Красавица ♡
She stands at the foot of the bed of shadow people.
She looks like the ghost of the pirate queen that shunts around the waters off Killadoon, and lures the herring towards our sandwiches
У неё аж на три косы хватило волос, и ещё остались локоны по обе стороны лица! Потрясающая генетика

what "toxic relationship"? Girl if you don't want Ben let him go. There's plenty of us that would gladly take him off your hands.
