    I can't be the only one to appreciate that before he basked in whatever glory there was to be had, the first words out of his mouth were praise for Tom his hod carrier/improver and that he'd be splitting the prize money down the middle with him. That's a class act.

      @@bricklayersworldwithandy6277 hate is a very strong word Andy that should be used sparingly in my opinion ,lest the true meaning of the word be lost . There’s also the other side of the coin ,some on social media will consider you a hater, or attempt to shut you down for giving them the mildest criticism or advice . Pinning people’s comments can often be used by certain TH-camrs like the stocks of olden days to set individuals up for ridicule ,sometimes it can be deserved and sometimes not . But I agree Charlie is a grand lad and at nearly 59 years of age I’ve picked up a fair few bits and pieces off him and other lads on TH-cam like yourself . He has just released a 14" scutch chisel which I have been testing for a year for him. It is a dam good tool for cutting out old brickwork etc. Have a look, I may even be able to get you one sent out to test if you like the look of it.

    You should do a video some time on your trowel collection Andy
    That marshalltown trowel with the metal bumper was very interesting I never knew they made them like that . I have a 12 inch new old stock Estwing narrow London trowel .I also have a used one ( im fairly certain it’s a narrow London ) but it’s stamped p to designate it as a Philadelphia trowel .there’s no sign that it’s ever been altered so I’m pretty sure it was mistakenly stamped with the p. They look like they might be manufactured in England probably by Neil tools in Sheffield. The trowel collector has a site on tool catalogues and they appear in one of the Estwing catalogues

    • @bricklayersworldwithandy6277
      @bricklayersworldwithandy6277  ปีที่แล้ว

      The Marshaltown lads knew nothing about it either, but they took a pic and we're going to investigate further. I had a fella from Footprint look at the Estwing, he was very knowledgeable about the Sheffield foundries and he said WHS. He explained the difference on how the shape where the tang meets the blade between American and UK trowels differ, which you probably know.

    • @brickbybric
      @brickbybric ปีที่แล้ว

      I’d be fairly certain the estwing is a whs . Yes that’s the best way to tell who’s manufacturing the trowels . Neill tools were the last uk company to manufacture the whs on English soil as far as I know Andy . Any word on those new Kokoro trowels where they are made Andy .
