    Yep, I just encountered the same LED headlight fiasco upgrade that compromised my fog lights. I am looking for a solution and came across your video. I'm not alone, so thank you, sir.

    The black plastic bracket on the bulb twists off. Insert black bracket and then dust cover. Then twist in the buld. DONT CUT THE RUBBER DUST COVER!!!

    What happens if you put the resistor on both head lights? Will that still work ?? Since I have two resistors coming in??

  • @wallys3558

    03 Tundra. Remember to turn off the daytime running lights by disconnecting wire harness under the battery. I had to compromise by using LED headlights and halogen fog lights with yellow covers. Added light bar to have an effective high beam.

    love the exhaust...what brand is it and do you see an improvement?

    • @toyotafanatics1
      @toyotafanatics1  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes.. and Yes! I should have done the exhaust sooner. It’s a Flowmaster 40 series, dual in/single out. and i left the resonator at the end by the exit. It absolutely breathes better and sounds fantastic.. 👍🏼

    • @toyotafanatics1

  • @marshmower
    @marshmower 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Halogen bulbs made in Hungary or Germany are ok. I go by the hassle vs reliability and have no trouble. My friend had issues with those retrofit LEDs. I think he has xenon still. The computer is looking for current draw and if I can't save power then I choose simplicity.

    • @nathanrains9292

      Definitely go with LED's and yes for the resistor.

    So I replaced my oem with LEDs (03 Tundra 4x4) and sadly now my night time running tail lights don't work- I did put the resistor on the passenger side too.
    Sadly, got pulled over by the local police because my brake lights do work but not the brake running lights.
    Has anyone here encountered a similar issue? Thanks.

    There’s a daytime running plug on the drivers side near or behind battery that you unplug that will allow it to work with both. But in all honestly I used h9 bulbs and they put perform any led.

      YES, the resistor worked perfectly. I made a video about it. here’s a link to the part needed.
      you only need 1 resistor, and it goes between the passenger side factory headlight plug and the new LED headlight bulb.

    I put Leds in my 2011 Sienna SE from Light Streets, I bought lights for head lights and fog light, only the right side work, but when I put the Hallergins back in they work, wondering if the lights or inverter is defective?

    • @toyotafanatics1
      @toyotafanatics1  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You need an H4 headlight resistor(only 1)and put it on the passenger side between the new LED headlight bulb and the factory headlight wire connector and you’ll be good to go.. It’s cheap and easy so definitely go for it! 👍🏼
