Christian was the catalyst for the other big signings. Keep in mind, when CC went to TNA he was red hot as a heel in WWE one can argue he should have won the title in 2005 but typical Vince didn't see anything in him lol
Once they got on SpikeTV, they were off to the races. Great television for quite a while. But when they turned Styles into mini-Flair...I checked out :/
Say what you want, but to me Christian Cage is the definition of a professional wrestler. Every young wrestler in AEW/ROH and NXT/WWE should learn from Christian Cage by watching his matches and promos.
I don't think so. Sting was a huge signing but I agree with EY on this one. Sting was never a WWE guy before TNA so his signing was big but a big name WWE guy going to TNA was unheard of when Christain jumped ship. It made TNA seem like a legitimate competitor of WWE for the first time.
Christian is a TNA legend. When he won the championship off Kenny Omega against aew that was a big moment. Too bad WWE won’t push any tna stars and just have NXT youth burying tna legends
Can see where he is coming from but have to disagree a little. Christian was big because he chose it but Angle wasn't fired, he asked to be released by the wwe and it sounds like the original plan was he would return to wwe. The fact that he, a former wwe world champ who was just with the company, decided to sign with TNA was bigger than Christian. I think that is also why Angle signing was bigger than Sting - Sting was still a name but hadn't been on tv that recently, Angle was literally months before he jumped to TNA.
I would agree Christian was the biggest signing up until that point that gave TNA a huge amount of momentum. But Christian also only turned down WWE to go to TNA to prove to WWE that he was a main event guy so that he could then go back to WWE. Lol so is he really any better than the others that eventually signed not out of "necessity"? Kind of flawed logic.
Either Christian or Kurt angle. I think Christian was more shocking at the time cause one day he was on WWE tv then I heard he was going to TNA like the next day

Christian Cage killed it. His whole seemingly in over head surrounded by monsters gimmick was some of his best work.

Especially if their fathers are dead and they need a father figure in their life.
Shark Boy was their biggest signing...and that's the fishing line!
It was Kurt by far!!! So many of us followed TNA when Angle went.
Kurt Angle 💯
I just love Eric Young he's friggin awesome
Sting was their biggest signing.

It's crazy to think that TNA had Hogan, Sting, Flair, Christian, Joe, Styles, Jeff Hardy and RVD in the company all at the same time.
Kurt came because he had injuries and wanted a lighter schedule. He asked to be released, he makes it seem like Kurt was fired.
Kurt had a pill problem and dixie was willing to supply
Kurt was fired. Vince fired him.
Kurt was basically fired lol. Think you need to go watch Kurt talk about it again.

@@CaptainRedbeard. provide a link to the interview where he said he was fired
FINALLY MY BOY CHRISTIAN GETTING THE RESPECT HE DESERVES!!

I think kurt and sting were bigger signings.
Kurt is #1 by far.
Man, did he age hard.
Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes gets credit for leaving WWE and reinventing themselves, but Christian paved the way for them to do it.
