  • Saturday June 22nd marked a historic and new beginning for the Reading & Northern Railroad and it's passenger department. With the completion of its new station in Nesquehoning Pennsylvania; the "Nesquehoning Regional Railroad Station," passenger excursions are now being offered to more exciting locations along the railroads trackage. Here I ride behind restored steam locomotive, Reading 4-8-4 2102, as she takes our sold out train up to Tunkhannock for their Founders Day Festival.
A special thank you to all those at the RBMN for making these events possible!

Please research, support, and share the Reading and Northern’s noble attempts to acquire the Shamokin Valley RR. Ahead!

great video! hope you enjoyed your airshow! we rode the trip, live in tunkhannock so it was a little backwards but the lay over gave me enough time to walk over to the airport and take the bird for a rip!

The trip was nice, I just wouldn’t recommend riding in the climate controlled Pullman.

@@AustinTrainsOfficial To be honest, you're paying $300 to ride in a bathroom. Also, the railroad didn't bother wiping down the windows so the entire time people couldn't see through the dirt on the windows. Lastly, the AC was BROKEN for the entire trip. I would definitely say that this car is not worth the experience. The only reason my Dad and I rode in it on June 22nd was because one of the managers I know recommended it because last year I wrote an article on the Parlor Car for my Pennsylvania Live Steamers gazette which I was kind enough to share with R&N as a thankyou for upgrading me and my Dad from the observation lounge on July 1st, 2023. I just wish that I could say the same for this year because if the climate controlled pullman wasn't recommend to us, my Dad and I would've rode in the Parlor Car instead. Paying $225 per ticket for the Parlor Car is better than paying $300 for a climate controlled bathroom.

@@joegotlewski413 I took a walk through that car during the trip and I also noticed the windows seemed rather hard to look through. That's why I've always preferred standard coach - you're right up by the engine and your windows are OPEN!
