That thing is sweet! Almost 20 joules out of the box and accurate with glock style sights. Salt Supply has really matured as a company. I've been following them since the beginning, before Byrna even existed! I would gladly carry this launcher concealed, or keep in a car; great for that. Now if they (or someone!) would make a launcher with the co2 in the partially composite, drop-free magazine, non-blowback, with a glock style trigger safety and the same 20 joules, it would own the market. Absolutely excellent content as always, John! We all greatly appreciate your hard work 🎉😊
Shooting out a question. In colder climates how do we keep the co2 up to a usable temperature?? During some testing I had left several co2 cartridges sitting outside in 43 degree weather. Simply put, no good comes from this. Owb carry or keeping a launcher in your car in cold weather will grossly affect the the performance. Can we discuss solutions??

I may just order the White and Yellow just to complete the set. So affordable. I also have the Byrna LE. Very nice launcher as well but there's a soft place in my heart for the S2. @@frgtdrepsn2904 I’ve tested many different rubber ball ammo, and I found that a lot of them do tend to stick. It just depends on which one you’re using. The rubber steel versions don’t seem to be quite as bad but, you can’t use a little bit of silicone spray to alleviate that issue.
Does the S2 have a manufactured cut line on the top and bottom of the trigger guard on the right side? If so why did they do this? It looks like it does on some pictures on the web.
Have you had a chance to see if yours has cutouts in the trigger guard (top & bottom on the right side)? Thanks. My cousins does. BTW this thing hits really hard! 👍
@@lizkatari Hy Brother, Im looking now and I don't see a cutout. However, mine says "sample" so it might have been the last production launcher before they started mass producing. Yeah, they are brutal!
Excellent informative video as always. Excited about Mace becoming a Pepperball manufacturer. I'm very close to buying my first non lethal. It seems the .68 in pepperball rounds are more readily available than the .50? I know on eBay there's no debate there is much larger varietyof .68 pepperballs. If anyone is frustrated with the lack of .50 available on ebay, Amazon has a larger selection and variety of the .50 in a pepperball. Some filled with a pepper- kinda tear gas mix. Plus they have other varieties of defense rounds. Some with a sorta spike tipped slug shaped projectile! 😳 Yikes! Getting tagged with one of the spike tipped slug shaped projectiles would have to be devastating and very well may not be less lethal?! I've always wondered if the .68 in a pepper ball would be more debilitating and effective as it stands to reason it would contain a larger amount of powder in each ball compared to the .50? Anyhow getting closer to my purchase hopefully in the upcoming month. Has anybody had any experience with buying the pre-owned launchers being advertised on Ebay? They're supposedly checked out and gone through to ensure they're working 100% and are offered at a deep discount. Partially because they are shipped without a box inside bubblewrap. Anyhow just curious to know if anyone has had any luck with those? Might be cool if John purchased one 'around $100' and gave us your opinion. They had a dozen available in the orange colored Umarex HDP 50.
Hey brother, actually at around $100 that would be the regular price for them :-) I wouldn’t mind doing something like that from eBay in the future though. As far as the pepper balls, I’ve always got them in all calibers. I have specific manufacturers that I purchase from so that I can verify the potency and make up of each one. I was this combination salt supply and mace is a crazy good opportunity for both of those companies!
Hey brother, you know I never really realized that people wanted to buy one :-) I think I’m going to start offering them next week. I have to get all of my 3-D printers working on them :)
Brother, you’re not the first to make that suggestion :-) honestly, just as in with a firearm, I wouldn’t fire these at somebody unless I was deadly serious.
It's relative to weight of the projectile hence these advertise in joules. That said at that caliber and FPS and subsequent joule rating on these is shockingly high for out of the box. In fact they have somewhat limited their audience if this the only option because many countries have limits on the joules which this exceeds. If this thing has a restrictor (seems unlikely) that can be removed or any other power medications it will be even more of a beast.
I love this launcher. Just when I think my collection is complete. At this price point, I may be able to talk my wife into letting me buy one. Have fun at Shot Show. Stay on top of the First Strike people.

This is like the mub.50 on steroids 😮
That’s EXACTLY what I thought :)
Does the S2 have a manufactured cut line on the top and bottom of the trigger guard on the right side? If so why did they do this? It looks like it does on some pictures on the web.
I’ll check when I get back to the studio.
I took pictures - any way to get them to you so you can see?
@@lizkatari Shoot me an email at jonreynoldscts@gmail.com
Great
They are awesome!
Hi I don't see the holster on their site
It will be up on my site by Thursday :)
It doesn’t look like it comes with an extra mag? What’s the point if it’s only 5 shots and no reload?
No way.
They have extra mags available. They are light and easy to load fast as well!
@@AlternateArmsSD Didn’t see them on the website. Do you have a link to purchase them?
Sir, Is that motherboards in the background? I don't know if that's the word 😂 "Moderkort" in Swedish
Yes they are :) That wall represents over 35 years in IT :)
is there any way I can purchase a Scully on your website?
Hey brother, you know I never really realized that people wanted to buy one :-) I think I’m going to start offering them next week. I have to get all of my 3-D printers working on them :)
Is that a prototype? I see that it says sample one on the muzzle. Will the launcher that hit the market be the exact same ?
I saw that too?
It is the last model preproduction! The actual new units are on their website now! Don’t forget to use that code to get some freebies.
I was actually very flattered that they sent this one. :-)
How and where can I place my order
They are up on their site now!
I want this exact one but smaller😡
Give them time :)
Oh its salt supply not Valken this is the F7.68
is it better the byrna 🤔le
Fortunately, I have a video with both of them head to head :)
@@AlternateArmsSD awesome bro I bought to watch it👌have a blessed weekend 🙏
@@j.r6656 My pleasure Brother!
I'm going to have to tell my wife I found a hot new love.
I will let you pop me with a pepper ball, but it will cost you a brand-new launcher. Let's talk about it. I am serious.
Brother, you’re not the first to make that suggestion :-) honestly, just as in with a firearm, I wouldn’t fire these at somebody unless I was deadly serious.
The Fps is not good compaired to others
Don’t depend on the FPS readings alone Brother. This is about impact, weight, and pepperballs. The goal is to NOT kill someone :)
Another fine video. However, is your mic working? Sure doesn't sound like it. Maybe you need the element closer to your mouth. JMHO
I think I solve the problem brother :-) I finally ditched all of my original equipment and bought a super high-end Mike. Tonight’s video will tell the tail.
@@AlternateArmsSD Hope so. I noticed as you walked away from the camera towards Stumpy your audio got weaker. We'll be watching.
