FYI, I installed the android 10.25 to my audi a5. I took the two USB ports that came with the unit and placed one on the driver's side and the other on the passenger side. I fixed them in place with dubble sided tape and installed led usb mini lights for ambient floor boards. And I still have access to them to plug in anything else ie phone, thumb drive etc... works great.

Hi im in UK and in the process of fitting my original hazard had airbag on off underneath and now hazard on new switch works but headlight symbol on dash? Will this go off once headunit connected
Just fitted one of these to my Audi A5,Apart from the screws holes not matching,the screen and the fitting kit are really well put together well worth the money
Nathan installed this on my SQ5 earlier this year (2021), fantastic product! I use an onboard sim card, All the things that I like to use work well, screen is HD and fairlt sharp.
How does it work a year later. I am looking into buying an A5 early next year and I am looking into options for CarPlay. Only thing that has me a bit worried is previous experience with Android phones crashing and becoming slow after 5-6 months.
@@DBGMLV, did you have a chance to buy A5 and install CarPlay? Any notes, since I'm trying to select CarPlay for my A5 2013.
A must buy for older Audis
My 2015 Audi Q5 has a Concert System with AMI. I purchased the Kufine System. 1. The climate control plug on my car is different. 2. My car has an airbag light on now. 3. The system doesn't show the Audi stuff at all.
Great video, I just had my S4 installed today and need to set it up. I must say your video is very helpful as there’s lots of info on the installation however next to nothing on getting it functional.

Thanks for the walkthrough! I have a huge issue with the unit not turning off when I shut off the car, and I can’t figure out what it happening. I see that you set it so it turns off when you open the fire, can you let me know what you did? Thanks in advance!
I have this setup, but on an A5 with an aftermarket reverse camera. I have it connected to reverse video and ‘Camera det’ behind the screen, and I also have it wired into reversing light power to tell the camera to turn on (as my car is manual)
Still however, when I put it into reverse, it doesn’t show me the camera. Sometimes when I turn the car off, it’ll jump to that screen, showing me the camera live feed and also the parking sensors. I assume it’s something on canbus, as it should be recognising the signal coming in from ‘camera set’ and automatically switching to it. I’ve checked and when in reverse, power is going through the cable.
I've installed similar unit in my 2010 A4, and it works great, other than MMI does not work anymore - I've been told I need to do the step you are doing at 16:46, but how do I find my password?
Can you show what it looks like when its using Android auto? does the screen look stretched?
I recently bought the same one and everything worked perfect after a two months or so the screen won’t turn on anymore. The audio still works while the screen isn’t on but i unplug the unit behind the screen and it works but after i turn off the turn car it doesn’t work again.

Thanks for the video, but i've got a problem. Everything is working but i get only radio sound. No sound is coming from the screen also cant call because i dont hear something. Radio sound is working. Also the volume buttom is nog reacting
Been loving this screen ever since I purchased direct from you. Would love to see a vid on importing an Audi boot logo/updating the system. Also, any way to add Avant cars for the left side of the main menu? Have a b8 s4 Avant but there are only sedans or Q series.

I connected my screen but then the digital speedometer on my dash won’t pop up again no matter what mode I choose. Is there a way to get it back above my steering wheel?
Do you know why 3 of my speakers would not work when using the CarPlay or blue tooth? When you use the factory radio all speakers do work but the three don’t when using the new system? It is for an Audi 2012 s4 multimedia system?

Hi Nathan, Congratulations on your video, they are really helpful. I bought one of these units for my Audi Q5. I have the MMI system. It worked really well first hand but 3 days after the installation, it stopped working. It doesn't even turn on now. What should I do? I'm waiting for your advice. Thanks
I installed unavi in audi q5 2009 Bluetooth sound not coming from car speaker. Android sound also very low .
Hi great video I'm having trouble with the phone calls not coming through the speakers. My phone connects perfectly for android auto and everything works great but I can't hear the caller through the speakers and they can't hear me, you can hear a click from the head unit as of its trying but nothing, any ideas its installed on my sq5.

So I installed one of these on my 2011 Q5. The sound is AWFUL. Radio FM sounds just fine but anything through the radio has a constant heading on the background.
Any idea on how to fix this? (Car has AMI and cable is connected)

I purchased this unit and had it installed at The Fitting Bay and the issue I am having is when using my mobile through it,a person rings I have to turn the volume up to almost max to hear and then I need to scream back so as they can hear me.
Hi, I have a couple of questions. Does the head unit turn it itself when you lock the car like the original? Also can the USB port in the glove box support external hard drives for music etc? Thanks ain advance 👍

Hello, Great video thanks !! Quick question : Is it normal on these Android screen that there is echo heard from the caller when on the standard bluetooth phone of the Android screen ? Phone calls works great on the Apple Car play of the Android screen or on the OEM bluetooth of my Audi SQ5 but not on the standard bluetooth of the Android screen. (My screen is Qualcomm Snapdragon Android 12)
I Nathan, I have a carplay for an Audi Q5 Concert system, I am purchasing a Audi A5 with a concert system, can I buy a modification to install my Q5 carplay on my new A5.I would presume that the screen etc is the same except for the background installation shell? Thanks Nathan
Does anyone else have connectivity issues with Apple Carplay? Nathan? Sometimes I'm troubleshooting just trying to get bluetooth to connect. Just wondering if people have to connect and reconnect again and again zlink/bluethooth. I'd love to not have to forget the device and reconnect each time I get into the car, and then I get out for gas for a sec and it has trouble autoconnecting...

Can you open Google Maps when pressing the "NAV" button on the mmi controller? Same for phone?
CarPlay connects fine just having trouble hearing the Audio only works with an external aux connected to phone any help?

Hello. I have a Audi A5 2012 I just purchased a screen got it installed it’s working but I can’t get it my sound right either. My Bluetooth works with my phone and when I want to hear Pandora music I have to connect the ox cable I have a concert I need help.
Does the ac controls also appear on the screen? Like to adjust fan speed etc..

How do I get aux volume working better. It’s very quiet. You mention a aux cable to plug in.

You should speak to your supplier! That is what their tech support is for.

Go to zlink without a phone connected and check the settings.
I can't get the Audi screen to appear with the list of apps. I wonder if my OS needs to be updated?
it's weird my q5 has an emergency button and an airbag button that is different what I've seen in other videos.
Hello, just installed it on my Audi A4 B8 2012 concert. everything works well but the screen for original MMI are not splitting. So like you said it's stretch and it look like crap. I don't know how to configure this. Do you have an idea ? thanks for your reply.

Hello I have this on my A4 but the CarPlay does not work it connects Bluetooth but when I get to that menu it ask to scan a code but the code shows as a phone number any suggestions?

Hello. Its working fine. But only the dashboard function is not working. And display is always on. I close car go away come back after 1 hour display is still on

@@TheFittingBay i got it . i didnt connect cable to CAN junction. because if i disconect this red thing my car can not start, so i didnt connect them. but what can it be, when i connect can with this radio double cable , where you connect 1 to CAn and the other to red, car no start . I have checked my settings along with our video. MMI 3G. Wheel works, but the screen does not turn off and on with the car door/key in/out. And, Backup camera is not engaging on the screen automatically. i Have to tap "Car Info" to be able to see the backup camera even though OEM Camera is chosen in settings.

Hi Nathan, we just installed Android 13 on q5 that comes with a pre-installed TH-cam app. As soon as the brake handle is released, the video stops playing. Is there any chance to allow video to continue to play while driving, thnx
When I connect WiFi. It disconnects CarPlay and WiFi works for a few seconds. Then the android screen will automatically try connecting to CarPlay again which disables WiFi.
Hello mate I installed the android screen today and I am getting no sound from airplay got radio but that’s it, I plugged the ami connector that come with other to my ami and there is no external device coming up, really need some help can’t find anything online to help me

Very detailed video! I just purchased an 2010 A5 that has an Android head unit, but the interface looks different, I don’t have a android homepage, it’s either the Audi interface or tablet screen. Looks like it’s running Android 7.0. Can these units software be upgraded? Or do I need a new head unit to get android 10? I can’t connect to CarPlay like this video says either.
Are there any media controls (aka play/pause, next, previous) through the buttons in the car with audi concert? or can you only use the touchscreen?

Yep you are correct but GPS helps with time and location data.

to get the reverse camera working. I have an Audi A4 B8 with Audi Concert. Everything is working perfectly but the rear camera isnt. We tested to see if its receiving power and it is but no video signal.

My mmi tells me AMI is not connected. Even my old AMI Bluetooth isnt recognized anymore. So i dont get audio out of the radio via aux anymore. Dont know how to fix this issue. Anyone fixed the same problem ? (Tried with the 3,5mm AMI and without)

Hello @The Fitting Bay I bought a screen for my audi a5 from 2013, when I go to the original menu of the car it does not look good in any of the options offered in the factory menu, maybe I would have to return to the factory values and update as you comment in your video, if so how could I download the update file?
Hi bro, one question a friend of mine got such radio for his Q5. Everything work connecting of Bluetooth or airplay but we do not get the sound , musik and also phone calls have no sounds🤷♂️. He has in the glove box a ami and also he has an special adapter one side is ami other is 3.5 connector i do not know how i should call it in english but in german we say 3.5 klinke. Maybe you can help us to get the sound out of the B&O system 😃

I’ve been having soo much fun w this thing on my Avant! Only thing is the sound quality has diminished quite a bit, not sure what I can do. Radio still sounds alright. Whenever I unplug the ami module completely, the sound quality is really good but then cuts out after 20 seconds. Do you know what I can do? I have concert
Figured it out! Connected a grounded auxiliary to the setup and it was fixed
@@derrickkorraa5996 Do you mind sharing which one you used? We're having a similar problem with our concert. Also, did you connect the auxiliary to the ami modules side or the unit side?

How you solve it with the grey trimm ?
Running the audio over AUX will decrease the sound quality as far as I know. At least it’s like that with car play modules for Porsche.
Hey Nathan, Thanks for the video! I have MMI and installed this device, however my sound isn't coming through. I have selected AUX on the original OEM screen but it isn't working with Z-Link, any ideas on what I can do to make it work? Cheers!

@matthewstrike8223 Hi, I did get a fix. In the new system you have go into the factory settings and select something that makes the audio never switch, and choose AUX output on the original audi system. I'll dig out the instructions for you if this doesn't help
@@marn6128 hiya, if you wouldn’t mind finding out for me please? I’m still struggling to have sound come through for the iMessage and WhatsApp. It’s very odd as my Waze and Maps works fine sound wise, but other CarPlay things don’t. Weird. Look forward to your response. Thanks
