The reason why counterspell has to be on the first line for the first macro is because you need to place where your cast (the circle) for your Ring fo Frost in order for it to be "completed" and moving on to the second line.
Just rerolled a mage and you are the reason you got my views and subs keep it up, though i know i wont be as good as you, you make mages look fun ( and am slowly finding out they are fun) Thanks and Keep it up man. Great quality Entertainment here

For the super noobs: You have to counterspell the guy so he can't cleanse himself out of the nova so he doesn't get ring of frosted. So if you think people are getting out of your nova's because they're trinketing, you're wrong, they have a spell that gets rid of magic effects like nova.
how to control FoF procs and being able to cast less in arenas would be the most usefull mage tut u can ever make... give thumbs up people! so we watch some advanced mage tutorials :)

For my Iceblock i've got 2 macros the first: #showtooltip Ice Block /cast Ice Block second: #showtooltip Frostbolt /cancelaura Ice Block /cast Frostbolt which lets you spam the iceblock macro without the chance of getting out of the iceblock when you don't want to. And to get out just cast frostbolt you can have it bind to anything really but it works out really well for me.

This way you will never have to replace your item in the macro - it will use item in the slot instead, same as you have done with top tinket (13) or bottom(14)

@squiz8 because the actual ring is where the frost block effect comes in. You can stand in the middle and not be affected by ring of frost :)

The target can silence you or do a death grip, instant cyclone etc, So you`re sure that you`ll have a full ring of frost.

people think modifier macros free up binds but they really dont, J and shift J is two binds whether its a separate macro or not.

you probably a space between the "/" and the "cast" or dont have a "/"
