cartoonz this is a very good guide for lesser skilled mages on how to kill a feral druid, but tbh, its just another example of how the most op class in the game can easily beat the second most op class in the game atm.

@TheTriforcekeeper Skullbash can be unreliable due to roots, and it's not really a defensive spell, Shifting out of slows isn't a defensive 'spell' Cyclone is useful, but a CS on it while hardcasted = lolno, and it's rare to get a insta cast on a Mage, due to being hard to keep on + they can spellsteal it. Increased run speed isn't a defensive spell. It's also pretty useless if you're sitting in roots. Leap is used offensively, it's not like Intervene where you can use it on team-mates.
This video is really good I hope you make more, I do agree however frost mage vs feral druid is quite one sided, but that doesn't take away anything from the video, it's very well done.
the only things you didn't really go over mate is using frostfireorb. it places the greatest snare on targets, if dr is up on frost nova roots etc, you can at least slow them and kite them with orb until dr is back to full. FFO also gives a tonne of procs of FoF and FFB which, depending if u glyphed FFB (which i have) can add to the slow effect to help kite or allow you to put out some nice damage on the move. this is all assuming the FFO doesn't just float off on its own, like it loves to do.
Every time I go against a Frost mage I think my keyboard and mouse are not working because I can't move, then I realize I am playing against a Frost mage.
Tell that to my friend (Ret Paladin) that lost 155k health in one shatter + an additional Ice Lance. One could assume that your bubble should be saved until you've lost some health, but with Mages that basically one-shot you that is no longer the case, 2 GCD's, and the fight was over.

If you ask me, it's a lot harder to beat a Fire Mage as a Feral. Not as much slows, but they get a disorient, OP DoTs, AoE slow, and their own movement speed boost. Oh, and a stun.

Pet freeze on opener, blink the pounce, continue to kite. If he's smart, and kiting correctly, he's only going to trinket deep freeze. Don't worry about clones because he can't damage you through them. He should almost never be in melee range.
@AtheistProd They sit in novas for like 1 second before they break it and catch the mage off guard. If Cartoonz didn't post this, Feral Druids would've been able to destroy Mages in seconds.
People who are skilled in any way should know Frost Mage's can be a ease to take down. They do hit hard as fuck, and are somewhat easy to play..i agree, But a lot of people hype them by crying about them being *OP*
To all those who say a frost mage can EASILY kill a feral druid, good feral druids can most definitely kill a frost mage. That being said, a good feral against a good mage, both with all cool downs, will most likely end with the mage as the winner. In most arenas, this isn't the case.
Pff lol. I always pop all my CD's at the beginning of a fight. Obviously except my trinket, dash, and stampeding roar. And not always survival instincts. But you get the point. :)
Cartoonz, you either need to fight a better feral, or make a more situational tutorial, theres this feral on my server who's really good, he will open with pounce, ill blink clones pet nova deep, by this time he has used dash trinket and has me near death, I have not had any time yet to put a ring of frost down or anything
What u have said is 50 % true. for example a complete nab can't play a frost mage and own 2k + rated players it still takes some essence of skill. if your good enough and really know how to play your class to maximum effect u can easily take a frost mage.

Bear form roots when you charge, and also they have double ice block vs bleeds so its usually better to just go for insta damage.

as a feral druid i think frost mages are one of the hardest classes to duel
@moje7 It actually does, believe it or not. You press more buttons than a Feral, that's saying something.
