Misako!!! I’ve been meaning to leave a comment on one of your videos. You’ve been playing non stop on my tv for the last week. I stumbled on your channel as I prepare for a move to CDMX. I’m a bit nervous but seeing you live happily and authentically has inspired me to continue down the path!
I am a vegan (for 29 years) living in Tokyo for the last year and a half. At first, it was hard because I couldn't read labels and a lot of foods are so different. Also, there are fewer organic /vegan shops or choices in supermarkets. But after gradually learning what I can eat and cook at home, it got easier. Also, eating out at vegan restaurants has become an "excuse" to explore the different neighborhoods more. it is amazing how many great vegan restaurants there are! Welcoming places with great food reasonably priced. I saw some statistics and I think the Japanese vegan community is a lot bigger than it might seem at first it it is definitely growing.
Just to let you know, in japan it’s not illegal to not put all ingredients on the label, you have to call the compagny to be sure Also if you want I will be exploring vegan restaurants too, I have a all list of them and I will be in Tokyo in a week 😍
Ahh so may great vegan places in Tokyo! 😊 But you are right about the long wait. T'sTanTan in Tokyo station is quick and easy and now they have more locations. You can also get their ramen in grocery stores or Lawson's Natural.
Just wanted to hop on real quick to tell you how much I appreciate your content!! You’re such a beautiful soul and I just love how you think and explain things. Sending so much good vibes and love from the east coast~!
Yum yum yum! Thanks for sharing 😍 good luck with finding easier ways to reserve spaces at restaurants. Once you figure it out that would be great to talk about in a video 💯🙌🏿
Thanks for showing me that grocery store, I'm taking my parents...one of them is strictly vegetarian and the other is not. At least I know we'll be able to get some stuff for him there.
oh it's really interesting topic. I am a vegetarian. I don't eat eggs ot fish even garlic or onion. I do eat sour cream or milk products. so, eating outside it's not my thing. I prefer to cook for my own by myself and it's okay in my daily life. but if i'll go to Japan someday is may be quite complicated.
The human body is an amazing process. I'm curious, if there was a line directly from our body and what we put in it that bypassed all 'thinking' on the topic, what would we find on our plate?

Google Translate. It's a free app.
You go to the app, select languages, select camera, point your phone's camera at ingredients and it translates.
