A fellow introvert here. I've been to many cities but Tokyo, as hectic and in-your-face as it can be, always gives me the space that I need to be one with myself. All the soft, little momeths. It's the reason why I keep going back.

Beautifully done. Thank you for your openness. I've been to Japan several times alone, and I have never felt as grounded, secure, balanced, and light as I have there. People were kind when I needed, but mostly gave me the space to just *breathe*!!! Keep going and growing. Congratulations!

I find myself wanting to head back to Japan for a short trip every time I feel lost. I think it’s a country of solitude, I love the distance between me and other people but at the same time I feel so warm and welcomed.
I went there alone last time and I felt nothing but peace and comfort inside of me. I love love love walking with you in these videos, like I’m a passerby.
I think Japan is a country made for us walkers😂, love the content lately, thank you for inspiring me Misako💚

I found your channel last week and I’m loving your videos.
I’m currently in the season of true self discovery after ending a very emotional draining relationship of two years. I’m the mother to two adult daughters and I have a seven month old grandson. Needless to say, I’ve been pouring into everyone else except myself. I’m beginning to take more time for me, and I’m planning some solo trips to get to know who I am at the age of 45. Better late than never, right?!
Thank you for the inspiration 🙏🏽

I used to be outgoing and extroverted a couple years ago, but these days I really enjoy being home and being alone. I catch myself feeling lonely with other people. I like the time I spend with myself, it is not wasted time. I wish I could better my social anxiety, that's something I am struggling with currently. It's nice to see you showing us your life, makes me use some ideas for my own decisions.

I love the music and vibe of these walking videos you've been doing. When I visited Japan for 10 days back in 2018, that's all I could do, I just wanted go everywhere and visually absorb the city - especially when I visited Kyoto.
Would you ever do try these in an interview format as well? I would love to continue seeing parts of the city while having meaningful conversation with others who've moved to japan or folks who grew up in the area.

Astrocartography is such an incredible tool to use for relocation. It's really interesting though. I have always been highly intuitive and follow the doorways ( or try to ) that open up for me freely, and that are welcoming, versus forced. Once I began to look at my astrocartography, many of the places that I was drawn to or that opened up for me naturally were DIRECTLY along those lines or even where two lines intersected. I just made a move over the last few days back to a place where I feel at home. Knowing the significance of the line that passes through this city, it makes sense now. This season of life I am in is one of Freedom, Joy, Truth, and ultimately Alignment with where I want to be and to begin to establish new roots; leaning in to what I need over trying to live a life that appeases others, which is really just self-deprecation on some level. Wishing you the best of luck on this new journey!

I just moved out of my birth state in the US and can definitely say that I am realizing the negative effects my close relationships have caused within me. People pleasing is one for sure that I have identified. It comes up in the oddest moments yet I am grateful that it is happening. I was in survival mode in my previous city and for the script to change like it has was needed for me to heal.

    2) these walk & talks are addictive as ‘we’ are all with you on the sidewalk and also looking for cars when crossing streets.

i watch a variety of videos on Japan and other places to travel and/or live and i love your introverted chill vibe. you sharing what's present for you in the place you are along with tips gives me a beautiful perspective as it's not just about what are all the cool things to do.
hearing about how silence seems to be valued like on the train makes me feel it would be a good fit for me considering my noise and stimulation sensitivity. i think i might struggle with the individual booth type arrangement for eating meals though, as i spend 99.9% of my time alone so when i go out it's to see people even if i don't interact. 🤣 it's a skill (maybe not the word i want) to be happy being to yourself.
i've been in the all by myself season but i feel that will be shifting. loved the sunset it wasn't too dark to me.

Also check out the planet that is ruling over the 7th house of your birth chart - because if you're 30 years old, then you're in the 30th protection year, which is the 7th house, which is great for finding love. Also, look at the house that the ruling planet of your 7th sits in - maybe it's in the 9th house of foreign land and travel or in the sign of Sagittarius or Aquarius ;) I would be so curious to know more about your chart!

I really enjoyed this one. The musical score was on point as well do you write the scores in your videos? Alone time is a super under-rated skill these. In an era of social media, social battery and social comparing. Folks are forgetting what its like to be alone, what its like to be bored, what its like to just be alone with yourself and with nothing but thoughts. Flex that alone muscle!

japan/tokyo seems to be such a juxtaposition haha. before i said they have such a big city and infrastructure but also lots of nature. now you mention its paradise for introverts because people mind their own business and lots of things can be individualized like eating by yourself in those single person booths. BUT they also seem so community based because of things like everyone watching over the little kids walking home, students cleaning their school, neighborhood associations, etc. they got that balance✨😌

I can understand how an introvert would love Japan. However, for those like me that are middle of the road, I would say it’s challenging meeting people here. What about when you need intimacy, what do you do? Tokyo, for men can be easy to find that if you know what I mean. But about for ladies?

"Japan is an introvert's paradise." This this this!
Only in Japan can you drop in a restaurant [not just fast food!] for a bite to eat alone and it's not strange and you don't have to pretend to befriend a waiter so they don't spit in your food lol [and they don't have to pretend to like you for a tip lol].

My experience in Tokyo is similar. I was actually much more social living in another part of Japan (Fukuoka) for several years -- this was before the pandemic. But, coming to Tokyo in late 2019, going through a breakup during the first wave in 2020, and now living alone for four full years, most of my days/nights are spent on my own. It has its pluses and minuses, and obviously I can go out and socialize if/when I want to (bars, music events, etc.), but I tend to spend a lot of time alone just doing music, taking walks in nature, and doing TH-cam talks as you are doing for my page (I also discuss solitude and etc. on my page.)

Now that you've been in Japan for a while, you'll soon be faced with the complex rules for garbage disposal.
Go to your city hall, get a garbage disposal calendar, and ask a senior immigrant for help.
The garbage disposal problem is the first challenge for immigrants.
Please take a few months to discipline your body.
