I don’t care if Dae’s freestyle was improvised or not he made it work perfectly with the groove, that was clean!
His rapping cadence alone won it for me.
Beginning was most likely written, but really sounded like there was some free style bars when they were just going straight back and forth verses feeding off each other. He was nice
Facts. So many people on Herr hating when they couldn't come close to doing that good
I think more of it was improvised than people are giving him credit for. Doesn't seem like it at first because his flow/cadence is so good but on the second listen, the lyrics do sound like they could reasonably be a freestyle with how he was building on the last rhymed word or saying things that dont make perfect sense.
The parts that were undoubtably improvised were literally just as good as the parts you would think aren't so I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt. The dude is super talented

you can track almost every line to a response and finding a rhyme pocket from the previous word
First verse
Harry says “I’m about to pass it to Dae”
Dae’s says “he passed it to me so I called an assist.
The next 6 bars are all words that rhyme with assist. He uses “reminisce” to go into his next rhyming word which is “Mississippi” which I think goes on for 9 bars & the Nipsy Hustle rhyme.

Is because Harry gave him the rhyme pocket with “improvise like Coltrane and “like your gold chain”
He messed up saying “Young idol”
So he says “I be messing now I’m getting back on the track and if they talkin drake to Meek Mill then we stand back to back”

From there it becomes fairly obvious when they’re going back to back he’s freestlying
Dude is just very talented and has a rap flow and punchline that are so good they sound written. He’s very difffent from Harry’s style. He’s closer to Juice WRLD or Tyler

Dae's energy was awesome. He seemed a little bit nervous but did really well. This is probably the second best collaboration. I really like the collab Harry Mack did with the security guard or whatever at the end of Guerilla Bars 10. That's my favorite collab. Unparalleled.

Even if only 20% of kids free with Harry was off the top, it was really really clean, in rhythm and on time. He not only passed the flow he actually grabbed the flow from Mack. I’ve always said that Harry will inspire a new generation of freestylers that now know what can be done. Harry Mack will always be the greatest off the top in my mind because he has revolutionized what that means and will inspire so many to do what he does at his level and even beyond. He will live in the world of freestyle off the top of the dome world forever! No one with any kind of dignity will ever question his skills and what he has done for this genre. Can’t wait to see more from the up and comers like this kid. Was smooth.
