- New Orleans has always been a special city for me and I'm incredibly excited to rock my first show out there as part of my Odyssey Tour later this month 🤩 As some of you know, I made my living as a jazz drummer for years, and am still a huge fan of the genre. In fact, much of my approach to freestyle rapping comes directly from my experience improvising behind the drum set in a jazz context. NYC has been the jazz capital for many decades now, but the artform has its roots in New Orleans, Louisiana, and those roots run DEEP. So naturally, we had to bring everything full circle and see how my off-top freestyles would resonate with the people of New Orleans.
First and foremost we brought some live cypher energy to the nonstop party that is Bourbon St- I think you'll agree the energy from the people out there was INFECTIOUS. Next, we hit up LSU campus to rap for some students from the athletics department where I had the honor of performing for the Division 1A national championship-winning Tiger Girls dance team!

Yo, Harry - you might want to look into going to Summerfest in Milwaukee (end of June-early July). You could get some big audiences for Guerilla Bars outside, and you could probably get booked to perform. It's one of the biggest (if not the biggest) music festivals in the world.

@jin not true, Harry didn't just have the talent. He worked hard for many years studying hip-hop and rhymes. It took him a long time to get where he's at now. I'm not saying he doesn't have talent, he's got more than I'll ever have, but it wasn't just that. It was his hard work and determination.

Can’t ever forget how ridiculously difficult it is to navigate some of these random words and make it all make sense and in perfect rhythm. He makes it look easy, but that last batch of words gave me a headache for him just thinking about it. Mack is unreal
For real, it's a quad-core effort for the brain:
1- remembering the key word
2- extracting a punchline from its meaning
3- elaborating how to rhyme the punchline (which often requires thinking about other words for rhymes, not just the key word)
4- trying to limit the filler at a minimum by making the setup as seamless as possible (sometimes sticking 2 punchlines instead of 1 during a 4 bars phrase)
The fourth point kinda involves doing all previous 3 again, sometimes. Also I omitted coming up with a nice pocket only because to Harry (and experienced freestylers in general actually) that part comes spontaneously, without mental effort

As a white guy Eminem always made me proud. Harry Mack though makes me feel unbelievably happy. That freestyle at the zoo was wild, read the shirt on the left verbatim, fit the bell in with the beat and bars perfectly, and had a crazy multi with the “fat raps stacked and he matched the red case to the backpack strap”. Doing that off top is seriously next level, extremely talented! Best freestyler in rap history! Also his ability to learn new words in a six word lineup and still remember is wild

MAN! The girls at the end were IT for me! NONE of them was trying to take the stage or upstage each other. ONE stood out above the rest doing all the extra moves (she could literally barely contain herself!) and you can tell she is LOVED by her team the way she walks around accepted at every spot to walked by; a real TEAM SPIRIT here... WOW! There is no wonder they are the CHAMPIONS (like you Harry)! This is right up there with the DC Prom Night bars! AMAZING spirit god bless!

However for me, the fact that NONE of the other girls gave her ONE non-accepting glance as she walked by; I personally see her as a older leader who is clearly accepted. I can’t even explain the excitement I get on a Friday when Harry drops a video, he really does deserve all the love he gets and it’s so good watching him blow up and have more and more people not just recognising him, but recognising that H Mack is the Goat.
